  1. If he was 25 signing his first FA contract, I would agree with everything you just said. Funny enough, I just signed a contract this week. I read the whole thing, had a colleague read it, and had my lawyer read it. We all met together and went over our notes. Attention to detail, especially when it's the details from the person who is writing your checks. You would love working for me, I wouldn't be as harsh on Richie as the Bills were, but as a capitalist in America, survival of the wittiest. We live in a country where you get the opportunity and time necessary to know what you are getting into before you sign the dotted line. No sympathy for the people who have more resources than 95% of the rest of us.
  2. You like to see guys elevate their level of play regardless of the supporting cast. Being unable to identify open parts of the field when the Mike is blitzing doesn't really have much to do with who is around you... Now or 30 years ago.
  3. It's neither BS nor fact. He had not thrown a single pass in the NFL. What we do know is he is lousy on simple throws, a lot. However, he also makes tremendous plays with athletic ability and attention to detail. I don't get bothered when people are negative OR positive on him because they are providing insight for one reason or another. This argument is so bad can we please stop with it? Kelly showed improvement each year of college finishing with over 60% his senior year. It was also 30 freaking years ago. Allen showed no improvement, for some, even a step back from his Junior to senior year. Give me a damn break.
  4. I mean, hard to blame the Bills for that. The man left on his own accord.
  5. I couldn't disagree more. You agree to a contract by signing, reading, and understanding it. The Bills are running a business not a charity. He didn't go over the details and he got burned. He could have easily pursued other opportunities if he didn't like the number. He lied about injuries, had a Twitter meltdown, then admitted it was about the money. I'm not sure if you noticed, but he's been completely silent all social media since his fiasco. Someone seems to have gotten through to him to stop talking for once.
  6. I think we all assumed there was no harm meant.
  7. I mean in the draft there isn't a linear relationship in drop off of talent. The difference between pick 3 and 5 is much different than 15 and 13 is it not? Once you are out of the top 10-12, it's a late first value.
  8. I mean, Edmunds was pick 16 so he was a late first....
  9. Remember when everyone said Shady was a cancer. Give me a break
  10. But the Jets paid Teddy and McCown as well... Teams took out insurance policies, including the Cards. If Rosen wins the job, he wins the job. Out of all the rooks, he has the best chance. That's about as far as it needs to be discussed imo.
  11. I just want to point out he didn't say "if" once.
  12. They also moved up for Zay and traded a 3 for KB. Spent 3 picks for 2 guys that haven't really done much for us. Also that Edmunds trade up included the first pick in the 3rd - essentially a 2nd. I don't think we overpaid but still assets nonetheless. We are speaking of all hypotheticals.
  13. Were you here for the board on week 16 and then still here for week 17. Flip flop like it was summer in Charlotte. I agree I would take it as well. However, objectively speaking what they have is better. That is the point.
  14. Hell no. We got the same rocket arm, tall guy, that interviews in shorts and sneakers at pick 7.
  15. You know your talking to a 1970s football guy when you equate getting the defensive backfield right with quarterback. It's about 700 million times easier to revamp a secondary than it is to get the QB position right. Besides, who could have seen Poyer coming in and playing so well. Hyde was a known commodity. Any betting man would take that secondary over this **** show QB stable with regards to which would end up better. What do I know though, one playoff appearance and it's like everything our FO does is undeniably the greatest move in NFL history. It was fun I guess.
  16. I mean was it really his fault? Kid unfortunately got hurt in camp then they changed coach and scheme. The same exact thing could happen to Edmunds but there's a lot of homer cocoa going around these days.
  17. We also traded up for a linebacker. A move that if Whaley made this board would collapse, explode. Btw, I loved the Edmunds pick.
  18. I remember how mad people used to get when Doug Whaley would trade up in drafts. What happened to fill the holes crowd?
  19. Kinda like the Bears paid Glennon, eh?
  20. One of the reasons he sucks is we can't beat him.
  21. Why do people get so offended when we are ranked as the worst QB stable in the league? We have a total of 5 starts with a game breaking, HOF caliber 2 wins. This situation is by far the worst in the league.
  22. Thought he was the worst choice. Now he's our worst choice and I hope he's the best QB of all time.
  23. Let's try a list of people sometime this millennia Kelly does not work as a good example. His % IMPROVED every single year in college and he finished over 60% his senior year. The amount of times I have to bring this up... I count 3 maybe 4 guys on this list I would want. How is this thread proving anything positive...
