  1. I like Beane a lot more than McDermott.
  2. 2/12 HC in the NFL playoffs are defensive guys (Belicheat and Pete Carroll). Not worried at all.
  3. Jacksonville, New England, Tennessee. New England, preferably, AFC championship in Boston. Beating them there would be so satisfying.
  4. Wildcard weekend folks. The best offenses have not even played yet because they got the week off... This as well.
  5. Why not give it a try? Give props to Beane on this one.
  6. Jackson had a better comp %, better TD %, and lower INT %. Also 6-1 BTW. If he doesn't pass well, what the hell does that mean for Allen? I personally think they both have played well. Allen played in twice as many games and only had 800 more yards passing and 4 more passing TDs. I personally like Allen and his potential over Lamar but that statement is just plain incorrect. If Lamar played as much as Allen he was on pace to have better numbers pretty much everywhere.
  7. I'm in the middle. After last season felt great but some of the same mind numbing things a detail oriented, process guy did last year, he continued to do them this year.
  8. Funny for Beane to repeat the drafting for need being a back breaker when he traded up for a LBer when the next LBer drafted is better and the guy that went in the second is an all pro this year. I agree with him but his actions don't really match up with his words here.
  9. Do we not know what a franchise QB is? That is a guy who should be making multiple pro bowl trips and maybe 1-2 all pros.
  10. Comeback Player of the Year - Zay Jones, HM Shaq Lawson Offensive Rookie of the Year - Josh Allen, HM Robert Foster Defensive Rookie of the Year - Tremaine Edmunds, HM Taron Johnson Team ROY - Josh Allen, HM Robert Foster Defensive MVP - Lorenzo Alexander, HM Jerry Hughes Offensive MVP - Josh Allen, HM Robert Foster Team MVP - Lorenzo Alexander, HM Josh Allen Few comments: People giving Kyle team MVP using their hearts not heads. Milano had a good season but no where close to how good Lorenzo was this year. He did it all and he played an insane amount of snaps. Old Man Zo's year is really being overlooked by a lot of you guys. Give the big man some respect!
  11. 100%. However, we need to, as a group, stop acting like he's a 7 time pro bowler, 3x all pro, on his way to the HOF. A TON of work to be done still. Way more than we acknowledge.
  12. When you are dead in regards to playoffs, it is better to lose, always.
  13. There's a definite difference between comp % and accuracy. The actual problem with Allen is designed, 3-step drop and throw the ball plays is where he really struggles. He can hit every throw on the field but he has to get better at bread and butter plays. Those 6-7 easy gainers are how you win in this league, the round about, tackle breaking, rocket arming, LBer leaping plays are entertaining, but not how you go 13-3.
  14. Depending on how much it costs, it can be a good weekend but mostly for the kids. They might be slightly older than an age where kids really enjoy activities around the game. I took my son a while back when he was pretty young. They had the skill competitions which were a good time.
  15. What are the other right moves? Poyer and Hyde? Jury is still out on Allen, he looks promising. Two LBs that went after Edmunds have been just as good if not better. Trading up there was dumb. Trading up for Zay was dumb, Kupp and Juju went after. You never trade up for a non-QB. Now watch Robiskie get moved to WR coach and us get a REAL QB coach. "Calculated". The only thing these guys really "did" was get a lucky playoff berth. We get blown out at a ridiculous rate and that has to stop. Our top ranked D really only performed well against bad teams and against a clearly declining Brady. If Allen busts, they are toast.
  16. Um. Benjamin was awful all season yet continued to get play when younger guys didn't get a shot. Nathan Peterpickerman was shoved down our throats for two years and we didn't retain an actual vet presence until this season was essentially over; both of those guys got extended shortly. We had to endure a full year of Rick "No Offense" Dennison. We paid Trent Murphy and Star wayyy to much and we can actually cut them without too many repercussions. I doubt either of those moves happen. I disagree here and it warrants questioning how calculated things are.
  17. "There was no evidence either way, but my opinion is 100% right" There was enough evidence that Dennison was not a top choice as it was reported by a million different people. The organization seems to agree with me.
  18. If we go 6-7 wins next year, you really don't think he will be on the hot seat? If a wild card loss is enough for you to be satisfied for 4 years you need to increase what your expectations should be. I spent several years living in Ohio and a lot of you guys sound like the Marvin Lewis defenders. No expectation for greater results but he's a nice guy so why not keep giving it a chance.
  19. Excuse me the only bad loss this season was the Jets? Were you asleep this whole year? We got spanked multiple times until the schedule got easy. Our "top ranked D" only showed up against good teams twice. MNF vs Pats and Texans. Pretty much every other playoff team scored 30-40 on us easily.
  20. What that means is we got lucky, which we did.
  21. 1. We had a defense that did poorly against good teams and beat up on some bad ones. The signature performance was probably first Pats game and it's not like we are dealing with elite Brady. Every playoff team we faced put up 30-40 points on us except the Pats and Texans. Embarrassing. 2. Franchise QB? We have a rookie QB who had an up and down season. I wouldn't even call Baker a franchise guy yet. Mariota and Winston had pretty good rookie years and both of them are pretty darn avg. Not guys that can get you in the playoffs consistently. 3. 90 million? Sure. So far these guys haven't hit on their signings besides Poyer and Hyde. Everyone else has not panned out well, having more money doesn't mean you become better in free agency.
  22. Not acting quick is pretty much how we ended up with Dennison in the first place, Sean needs to get his feet out of the mud. Replacements need to be made of the ST and OL coach, two wonderfully underperforming units.
  23. Very little chance we miss playoffs next year? Excuse me?
  24. We can list a lot of head scratching things he's done as well. The only thing that matters are wins and right now he is 15-17. A losing season next year and it's hot seat time.
