You don't bench your starter after he had the best game of his career. You play to win. the game counted. And why would anyone need that game to see what EJ had? he is terrible.

Simple. He doesn't want to admit he made a big mistake with EJ. Stubborn. He hyped the guy up too much and it came back on him. Plus maybe he is just horrible at evaluating QBs in the draft. Bills are an average team that could sneak in as a WC. Now you take that with a dysfunctional FO. Yep. Better team but not enough better for a variety of the same old reasons.

The new owners are 24-24 right now. Not terrible. Better than well below .500 under RW. If ownership, GM,s aren't part the problem for 17 years of no playoffs, who is?Pegulas want to win and will spend the money also. they just need to figure it out. With Taylor and this new Coaching staff, they are getting there. The FO is the next area that needs changing. It should have been done when they bought the team.

Ralph was a big problem, may he rest in peace. Now we have owners that will spend on Coaching and anything else. I already posted that Whaley is a poor drafter, cap manager, and creates dysfunction within OBD.

Whaley takes the heat because he kept pushing EJ on different coaching staffs. He raved about EJ and claimed he had the "it" factor. He is terrible at QB evaluation in the draft. And no, I think he is done at OBD pretty soon. Another HC conflict. What a surprise. We may have found a QB, for awhile and an actual HC, now we need to improve the FO.

Whaely has been here far too long if you ask me. Going on his fifth year as GM. Plenty of time to pretty much come to the conclusion he isn't good enough. Esp. a guy that claimed EJ had the "it" factor but wanted Taylor gone.

I look at it this way. Nix was good for 6-10 below average teams. Whaley has pushed us to 8-8 average teams. better, but not good enough.

Keeping bad for continuity sake isn't the answer either.

We have a QB that is a big part in why the Bills had a top ten scoring offense that would have got away if it were up to Whaley. He is a big EJ backer, poor drafter and bad with cap management. Going into the fifth year under his watch with no playoff appearances. Is he better than NIx-of course. But that isn't saying much. Going from terrible to a little below average isn't good enough at the GM spot. Plus he can't get along with any HC. Whaley is part of the problem.

Whaley was after the draft. An incoming GM would have a huge say in that draft. He had huge input in the EJ pick. This is a very good post. Spot on. Whaley would not be hired as a GM for 31 other organizations.

This is the third HC that Whaley has had a problem with. He is the main problem.
