  1. Bills were 1-3 when Flutie took over in 1998. Their wouldn't have been a playoff game to fumble in if he didn't play.
  2. Anyone that doesn't appreciate what Flutie did in his play and what he did for the organization has no clue IMO. Not surprised here. Fred Smerlas-and I'll take his football opinion over yours-has always been of the belief that the Bills would have been farther ahead with Flutie.
  3. Another one worrying about advancing after 17 years of this. The agenda people didn't want TT to be the QB that was part of ending it. The plan is to draft a QB next draft no matter what had TT did.
  4. 8-8 or 9-7 was possible with TT, and that should get the sixth seed. Big loss if Peterman can't do that.
  5. So did the QB who touched the ball on every snap. That was a terrible move.
  6. Like you did for TT?lol Give me a break. But I want Peterman to do well because I want to make the playoffs.I root for the team.
  7. Doubt it. Chargers, Miami, Colts very winnable with TT. RJ played one game against a bad Colts team, and that got RW all excited for him too play. Flutie earned the right to play that game. This figures. Why am I not surprised?
  8. Tenn made it, and we had them beat. The Bills most certainly could have been in the SB that year.
  9. Nice to see a thoughtful, intelligent post on the whole thing.
  10. The problem is the playoffs are very much attainable in the weak AFC.
  11. Have fun! Hope we win.
  12. Stadium could be half Bills fans. No home edge for LA.
  13. 17 year drought is the joke. And that could end this season in a very weak AFC, and this move could cost that. SB-lol.
  14. I hope it works. The O line could get Peterman killed.
  15. Unless the defense gets turnovers, they are in trouble. No pass rush and getting gashed on the ground for 500 yards in two games. Hopefully the turnovers begin again. me too. An intelligent poster with no agendas and some commonsense, yes, Marty is that.
  16. 5-4 isn't terrible. He had some pretty nice games in those five wins. Miami is bad, Colts are bad, Chargers are beatable. I want this ridiculous playoff drought to end. Trusting the process means nothing until the playoff drought has ended.

  18. "Let's start with Tyrod Tyrod Taylor is getting a bit of a raw deal here. This is the second time he's been benched. The first was by former general manager Doug Whaley, who didn't want to trigger Taylor's injury clause last season. Now, McDermott is benching him after convincing Taylor to restructure his contract and take less money. Taylor hasn't been the Bills' biggest problem over the last few seasons. Far from it. However, the inconsistency was too much to deal with. He topped out as an average to slightly above average quarterback and the Bills wanted more. It's tough to fault them, but it's also fair to wonder what Taylor could have been this season in an offense more suited to his skill set and with some better receivers than he worked with."

  20. That was Crusher, by the way. This is ridiculous. It really is. The defense was the main problem the last two seasons. Your group did not want the Bills to win when TT played. It was so obvious. I want to see what he can do. I just don't want to lose a great opportunity for the sixth seed this year. But maybe Peterman plays really well. It's the old crusaders that ruin the whole thing.
  21. The problem I have is that I think TT could have beat Miami and the Colts, and probably the Chargers which very likely would have got the sixth spot this year. I hope Peterman can do it, but if we end up at 7-9 and a team like Baltimore gets in at 8-8,that's a problem to me. lol but we are and the sixth seed is very much a possibility.
  22. Thad Brown‏ @thadbrown7 FollowingFollowing @thadbrown7 More History says the Nate Peterman Era is not likely to last long. There hasn't been a QB drafted in the 5th round that started 50 NFL games since Mark Brunell in 1993. 6th rd, 7th rd? Yes. 5th rd? No. Or a 5th rounder is due. #Bills I sure hope it's due to happen. Starting 5-2 to no playoffs this year would be terrible.
  23. Thad Brown‏ @thadbrown7 FollowingFollowing @thadbrown7 More I'm tired of hearing how "bold" McDermott was to bench Tyrod. To be "bold", you have to be worried about criticism. But when the owner fell head over heels for you the moment you arrived, there's nothing to worry about.
  24. And if that does happen, we wasted a solid opportunity to make the sixth seed in a very weak year in the AFC. That's the only problem I have with the whole thing.
