What's your reaction if Peterman is terrible this Sunday
JM2009 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had to put him and a few others on ignore, finally. Couldn't take it anymore. -
Me too.

At this point I would take anything, even if we did get trounced. -

I think the genius who thought Tolbert would be a solid backup is the one who should get axed. -

The AFC is bad this year. The Bills control the sixth spot and 8-8 could be enough. This is the best chance in a long time. -
Was the move at QB a good move or bad move?
JM2009 replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No one has said he is a franchise QB. But 20-18 for an average at best team isn't terrible.Breaking this drought is very important. We have no idea if this HC or management is the answer yet.Boneheaded-being the HC that ends the ridiculous drought would make him a hero. -

Because we have a good opportunity to end the drought. Chargers, Miami, Colts. you enjoy losing? and maybe missing out on the sixth seed? Fans should cry if that happens. -
Are we able to get anything for Tyrod?

There's really a famine of good starting NFL QBs after the ones we are used to retire. -

https://wham1180.iheart.com/featured/b "Rookie Nathan Peterman will start at quarterback for the Buffalo Bills Sunday at the Los Angeles Chargers. Bills coach Sean McDermott on Wednesday morning announced that Tyrod Taylor – 20-18 as Buffalo’s QB the last three years – has been benched. It seems like only yesterday that the Bills had a surprising 5-2 record and Tyrod’s many critics among the long-frustrated fan base and media were giving him his share of the credit for the team’s success. Now – the way I see it – Taylor is the scapegoat or fall guy after two embarrassing losses: 34-21 (it wasn’t that close) at the New York Jets and 47-10 at home to New Orleans last Sunday. Taylor was not the only reason – or even the main reason – for Buffalo’s two-game losing streak. The biggest problem was an overmatched defensive unit that allowed 492 yards and 9 TDs on the ground. Tyrod Taylor does not play defense. Taylor is far from a complete quarterback. Like most QBs, he has flaws. But much of the media and many fans were quick to point out what he doesn’t do well and downplayed what he does well. After Peterman led the Bills to a late TD in garbage time against the Saints, I was amazed at the reaction by so many fans and media: “He did more in a few minutes than Tyrod did the entire game.”...”Tom Brady and Tony Romo were undrafted or late draft picks and became stars. Why not give Peterman a chance.”...”Tyrod is too short. Peterman looks more like an NFL quarterback and throws better spirals.”...”We know Taylor isn’t a ‘franchise quarterback.’ Maybe Peterman can be.” So now Peterman – a fifth-round pick and the 171st selection in the 2017 NFL college draft out of Pittsburgh via Tennessee -- gets his chance. This move probably means Taylor won’t be back in Buffalo next season. No surprise, really. He was inherited by the new regime. He’ll be playing somewhere in the NFL and I believe he will be more respected and appreciated than he has been in western New York. The Bills currently are 5-4 and the No. 6 seed in the AFC. Considering how lousy the AFC is this season (14-24 vs. the NFC head-to-head), 10-6 certainly would earn the Bills a wild-card playoff berth. 9-7 or even 8-8 could be good enough. I’ll be rooting for Peterman while feeling sorry for Taylor. Maybe this move will wake up a slumping team and spark Buffalo into the playoffs. But I won’t be shocked if Peterman is in over his head and Taylor comes off the bench to bail out the Bills in a game or two down the stretch." ob-matthews-column/content/2017-11-15-matthews-tyrod-taylor-from-hero-to-zero/ -

We don't know yet. That playoff spot is wide open for the Bills, and if Peterman gets them there, then it's a solid move. If he stinks up the joint, not so much. I kinda feel like this. But we'll see. Ending this insane drought to me is the most important thing. Those who say "build a contender"-we may never be a contender again. This is the best chance for a WC in years. -

I think 20-18 was pretty decent for this team. If people think the Bills have had more than average talent since the Pegulas bought the team, they haven't. The roster this season is probably a little below average. Maybe Peterman provides a needed spark. -

DaBills, I always thought was one of the better posters on the BBMB. Anyways, we both like TT, but I hope Peterman does well. Bottom line is to get that sixth seed and win the winnable games left.

Just put xRushx, Shady,Crusher-air Fitzy and a couple of others on ignore because arguing with agenda driven nonsense is fruitless and tiring. I like you Foxx. Don't disappoint me. I hope Peterman plays well Sunday and I'm kind of interested to see what he does. That bunch takes the interest out of the whole thing. 6-4 is what I want and to make the playoffs. If Peterman doesn't fair well, I'll be disappointed because I don't want to be 5-5. season is over than. You can have different opinions on whoever the QB is, but at the end of the day, just win on Sunday. That's what most of us want, except for a few. Tired of dealing with the few. -

Only problem myself and others have is that the sixth seed is there for the Bills this season. I hope this move doesn't hurt that. Hopefully Peterman does well. His first meaningful snap in the NFL, but, LA has no home edge. Wish you posted more. -

And I'm sure the second Miami game in 2016 wasn't the defenses fault either. Seems to be a common theme from the crusaders. Facts are bad things. I have never seen so much ignorant, dishonest posting in my life then from your bunch on this topic. Newsflash: TT is not the long term answer. He never was. However he did a pretty decent job all in all. 20 wins in 38 games is not terrible. No brains here. You earn the honor of being compared to Crusher and xRushx. -

TT was a big reason why the running game worked so well. cant't the crusaders give him credit for anything?
