Playoff defense not just bad, next level awful
Julio Hopkins replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's literally insane, if the offense played like they did against the Bengals last year then the Chiefs would have put up 40+ points with one of the worst receiving corps in the league. -

The problem arrives when that top offensive coordinator immediately gets hired elsewhere to be a head coach. It's going to be a constant problem with a defensive head coach and Josh Allen at QB. If Joe Brady doesn't become the full time OC next year then McD will be on his 5th offensive coordinator with Daboll being the only guy to coach multiple seasons. -

The Chiefs only had to convert five 3rd down attempts. They didn't punt the ball until the 4th quarter. Despite the 37 minute time of possession the Bills had, the Chiefs only had seven less yards. No wonder McD wants the offense to run the ball more, it keeps his defense off the field so they don't give up 40 points a game. I get that the defense was dealing with major injuries this year but isn't a new thing. Last year they couldn't stop the run against the Bengals, the year before that they gave up 42 points to the Chiefs, and the year before that 38 to the Chiefs. So far the defense has only accomplished beating Skylar Thompson, Mac Jones, Mason Rudolph, Philip Rivers, and the only serious playoff QB Lamar Jackson. Which is hilarious because they looked bad against Thompson and Rivers. -
Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
Julio Hopkins replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyone is talking about the Diggs drop but I’m not seeing anyone talk about both of Sherfield’s big drops. Sherfield shouldn’t have gotten so many damn reps this season. Receiver was a position of need going into the season and proved to be a position of need going into the trade deadline. Beane sat on his hands and traded for a corner. These guys can say whatever they want in their press conferences. What they actually do shows they don’t understand how to win. -

Mcdermott even compared this team to the 13 seconds team after they lost to the Eagles. Of course it ended up the same way lmao -

I don't understand how you can criticize Allen for taking the shot in the end zone. I understand criticizing the actual execution of it, but it was there. We can sit here and say we don't want to score too quickly, but there is no way Allen can have that mentality on the field. -

Another year of Josh Allen being wasted. I'm stoked to see Beane waste the offseason rebuilding the secondary, linebacker core, defensive line, kicker, punter, long snapper, and secondary again. Anything for the guy who got him his job. -

Receiver was too important to ignore at the deadline. Brutal miss by Beane. -

It boggles my mind how many situations Murray is used in. About the only thing he is superior at is blocking, which doesn't matter when he's running routes, -

On a scale of 1 to 10, keep Knox off the field. -
McGovern is Doug Legursky bad.

Harty was such an obvious wasteful addition.

The hit that Stef Diggs took last week in the end zone was way worse than that Greenlaw body slam.

That throwaway that Hurts had on the failed screen would have been intentional grounding on Allen.

That five interception start almost prevented them from making the playoffs and ending the drought. Something Micky D gets massive credit for ending with such a poor roster. A poor roster because his lackey GM tore it down to get into a better draft position to draft a QB. The year after Mahomes and Watson were available when the Bills picked. Adding to this post, if Allen wasn't the magical unicorn of QB prospects. They would have missed out on Lamar Jackson too.
