? Kama Sutra Harris that's gonna leave a mark. (Wasn't there a #metoo thread? I couldn't find it and that article would work better there.) -

Or at least like him. And, I'm still only cautiously optimistic that it lasts. -
I would hope so. I know I paid for my son's (many) college degrees, and while we are comfortable, we do not have the kind of money Fred Trump did. I cannot imagine someone with the means to do so not paying for their children's schooling.

Should be, but it hasn't been. I'm hoping for a better second half.

It's all in who you know. Just don't spend $400,000 on college and end up with a Gender Studies degree. Cornell is an excellent value. It is half state-assisted (a state school), half private, but the same general studies are offered to the public and private students. Cornell also has very good tuition packages.

Well, I found the early game to be entertaining! Nice to see Memphis win one.

I want to see it later. I am sure it is total red meat, and that is the crowd that will devour it. -

How can you possibly have a SECOND team that you root for?
Buffalo_Gal replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My second favorite team is New Orleans - since the days of Archie Manning. Apparently, I like teams that struggle. note: I always root for the Bills over the Saints. -

Oh, I agree that AOC is probably primaried in 2020 - unless, based on 2020 census results her congressional district is slated to be done away with in 2022. But, I am still surprised she hasn't been shutdown yet. And that makes me wonder about the squirrel angle, because AOC certainly is a distraction. -
I gotta say, you've really covered yourself in glory down here in PPP. ? Have a good evening.

Trump The Divider

While I am not sure I've ever seen a Friday night news dump retraction before it seems to me that maybe this Covington kids have a better case than many suspected if even WaPo is willing to apologize now (is it too late?)? -
In case no one corrected you, Wharton is Ivy League (part of the Univeristy of Pennsylvania). President Trump has an economics degree from Wharton.

Too bad he can't expel the Democratic (Socialist) "leadership". -
Amazon HQ2 Decision - NYC & VA
Buffalo_Gal replied to IDBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Gov. Cuomo reportedly pleaded to Jeff Bezos to bring Amazon HQ2 back to New York * New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is trying to win back Amazon by making calls to executives, including Jeff Bezos, according to The New York Times. * Cuomo is upset with local politicians who had opposed the deal with Amazon. * Amazon abandoned its plans to build half of its new headquarters in New York City earlier this month. * Several local New York leaders will publish an open letter in the Times, asking Amazon to come back. </snip> -

Trump to expel dozens of Maduro loyalists from the US The Trump administration is expelling dozens of officials loyal to Venezuelan strongman Nicolas Maduro from the United States, a top administration official announced Friday. “Maduro supporters that abuse or violate human rights, steal from the Venezuelan people or undermine Venezuela’s democracy are not welcome in the United States,” Special Envoy Elliott Abrams told reporters at the State Department. “Neither are their family members, who enjoy a privileged lifestyle at the expense of liberty and prosperity of millions of Venezuelans.” Abrams’ announcement follows through on a threat aired prior to last week’s attempt to deliver humanitarian aid to Venezuela in coordination with top opposition leader Juan Guaido, whom the U.S. and dozens of other countries have recognized as the interim president of the country. Maduro blocked the deliveries, and now, U.S. officials will revoke the visas of Maduro's top officials and their families in an attempt to fracture the unity of the regime leadership. </snip> -
Nawww that is more along the lines of a "holy crap!!! EVEN CNN or EVEN WaPo isn't hiding/distorting/lying" about X,Y and Z. I thought you were gonna find some other sources to read besides WaPo? Fixed ?

The "very well spoken" remark in your post harkens back to Joe Biden and his soft-bigotry of former President Obama. Look up the youtube clips if you are unfamiliar with what he said, they are out there. Maybe the questions should have been... why are you supporting her? What qualifications does she have? Her Chicago hospital job was given to her when her husband became a Senator, and not filled since he left office. Why did she give up her law degree 9 years before having children? Many, many people dislike Michelle Obama and do not find her to be the least bit qualified for public office. They pick on her looks (a person's least important attribute), her job history, giving up her law licenses for undisclosed reasons (it is on the Illinois Bar association website, you can find it there), lack of political office experience (not necessarily a bad thing), and the fatigue of the US Press fangirling her while ignoring the ex-model who is our current first lady. However, this is the Trump Economy thread. You and I may want to take this discussion to the Democratic 2020 Primary thread where the possibility of her running would be on-topic.

I missed the start of this conversation (thank goodness), but if you come down here with well-reasoned dialog and arguments, it is a great place to expand your world view. There are plenty of Conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and political mutts (of which I include myself in that category) coming together to politely agree to disagree about politics and society. Name calling, while allowed (and sometimes encouraged - SMH), seldom advances the debate. IOW, PPP is a very interesting subforum. You will learn a lot, disagree a lot, and agree with some. Don't come down with both barrels blazing and expect to be welcomed with open arms. There is a lot of testosterone down here (excluding me), and sometimes it gets chippy. Wade in slowly, get to "know" the players, and then please come back with your well reasoned, sourced (fair warning CNN and WaPo are disparaged as sources), contributions. Opposing views are welcome as they advance debate!

And that would have been one of Joe's lesser transgressions.

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

It is getting to the point where the list of who isn't running for President on the Democratic side will be shorter than who is running.
