I am asking why Jews support the Democratic party en masse. I'm not sure how many "conservative" Jews you know (that would be an R or C policial voting card affiliation), I know (knew) ONE (my MIL, who was an R), and would be curious about that hard number as you seem to be claiming Judaism as your religion. Note: this is not me picking on the Jews. The other half of my family that is not Jewish is (mostly) Roman Catholic and they are not much better. The friends I have that are not Jewish are a mix of parties and ideologies. I truly do not know any Jews (now that my MIL has passed away) that are not Ds. It baffles me.

Yeah, I do not get it. There seems to be a lot of Jews that stick with the Democrats. An anecdotal story is the only Jew I know who is not a Democrat is my MIL - and she passed away late last year. I have quite a few relatives and friends who are Jewish (2% of the population yet makes up about 33% of my direct circle) and none can explain to me why they stick with the Democrats like glue. I've heard some crazy-***** the last two years to try and explain it away (I told the story here about one of my BFFs whose son was worried that Trump was going to round him up and place him in a camp! And he was 11 at the time!! Bibi's congrats video calmed him down. That was the worst because he was so young, but some of my very smart friends and relatives have come up with nearly equally nutty things.) So, why do Jews stick with the Democrats in spite of policies and/or rhetoric that goes against their best interests? Maybe you can shed some light on that?

Jerry Nadler’s Son Works For Firm Suing Trump, Which Presents Conflict of Interest </snip> "His son (Michael Nadler) got a job with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in 2018. That’s convenient because Jerry Nadler and the Democrats just won control of the House in 2018. Gibson Dunn & Crutcher hire Jerry’s son and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher are the main Nemesis against Trump and the Trump Administration on numerous lawsuits. Now the Nadler family will gain access to thousands of Trump documents via Jerry’s subpoenas!,” our insider stated. </snip> (the son's work bio + more) </snip> Such an arrangement — Jerry Nadler investigating Trump with his son’s firm trying to get access to documents in other cases — violates ethics rules for federal investigators. </snip>

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Buffalo_Gal replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The last numbers I saw was Fox News runs 55% negative stories about the Trump administration, 45% positive about the administration. In this day and age when the rest of the networks are running 90%+ negative stories daily about the Trump administration, that is construed as "being for Trump". Think about it - a network runs negative stories about an administration more than half of the time, and yet is still considered "for" the administration because they are almost "balanced". The MSM is nuts. And for more crazy: -

So you are saying that if they (the supremes) rule it is ok (or not) to ask for citizenship in one case, it does not apply to a different case concerning citizenship on the census? -

My name isn't Sue. ? You think that JCN is behind tipping off the National Legal and Policy Center for the information needed to file an FEC complaint(s), after the Amazon fiasco? Where did JCN get the information from? -

The real question is who is really behind this complaint? Democrats or Republicans? I'm not even sure if it is members of Congress. Could be NYS digging around after the Amazon fiasco (and possibly why she was a tad less smug about it today ). The National Legal and Policy Center is "right-leaning", but who tipped them off? New billboards in Time Square today: -
My husband has a theory that one of the reasons the economy hummed along during the Clinton years is due to all the fighting between Congress and the Presidency; politicians get in the way of progress. If the economy stays-the-course or grows in spite of the doom and gloom forecast for this year, I'll have to give his theory more respect (I don't disagree with him completely) as I see little to no cooperation happening between this Congress (the House, but the Senate isn't exactly a rubber stamp either) and President Trump.
