  1. When John McCain ran for President in 2008 his campaign manager was Rick Davis (who was also his 2000 primary campaign manager). Davis was also a DC lobbyist at the time. The name of the firm he worked for was Davis Manafort, named for the two principles who founded the lobbying firm. (The Manafort was the recently convicted Paul Manafort.) During the years building up to the 2008 election, the biggest client of Davis Manafort was a Russian oligarch with close ties to Vladimir Putin, Oleg Deripaska. Christopher Steele's was employed by Oleg Deripaska. Poroshenko bid farewell to US Senator John McCain "Senator, we are very grateful to you. And that's why now I'm here today, bringing the thoughts and sympathy of a large 45-million nation," Poroshenko said </snip>
  2. That is his penance, not his probation... (I kid! I kid!)
  3. The </snip> is so people click and read the whole article. ?
  4. Put 'em on ignore. You may still see a post when he/she/x is quoted, but the board is much more readable when you have the few goofballs who clog it up with nonsense on ignore.
  5. Pretty sure the Ds would like to forget Carter...
  6. That was my guess once his legal issues were behind him. Now, let's see if Polian allows it. Chad Kelly could be one of the redemption stories the AAF is all about.
  7. This is a very long, but good read about the electoral college (she's written a few books about the EC) (thread)
  8. Follow-up: Former Denver Broncos QB Chad Kelly pleads guilty for trespassing in Englewood couple’s home Kelly pleaded guilty in Arapahoe District Court on Wednesday in the October case Kelly was sentenced to one year of supervised probation and 50 hours of community service during a brief hearing with little fanfare. The judge allowed for probation to be transferred to Kelly’s home state of New York or in another state where he lives, as approved by the probation department. </snip>
  9. Why this was even a question, I do not know. Yeah, yeah, sanctuary cities/states and the 9th circus... Supreme Court sides with Trump on detention of immigrants The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled in favor of the Trump administration by deciding federal officials can detain immigrants at any time for possible deportation after they have served their time in the U.S. for other crimes. </snip>
  10. You might find this thread interesting: (thread)
  11. This is an excellent video. It goes past the Covington Kids though (and really hits media matters hard)
  12. Google does tweaks to its algorithm daily. Larger updates may be announced (in the rearview). Moz , search engine land, the google webmasters central (what Google is willing to share), etc. Many of the seo tools or larger services keep track and share in a list or blog post. As far as filtering out a right or conservative perspective on a mass scale... wouldn't surprise me. The EAT update last fall cut out a LOT of websites, posts, etc that were related to health and well being by "non- experts". And how were those "non-experts" decided? Well, Google decided who wasn't an expert. And acted unilaterally (there is no appeal). It would not surprise me to see an alternative point of view from "Google's" biases to be banished from their SERP. People might want to get well acquainted with duckduckgo .
  13. Since it is a carousel that is Google picking the images. Carousel images "could" come from a list in a specific post (and the newest SEO tactic to try and claim the carousel for a search term AND get the images into that carousel), however, I checked the SERP and the first 3 for "founder Greenpeace" are all wiki - with no individual image list. Again, even if it came from one individual post (which it isn't in this case) Google is choosing the carousel images. #4 is the dailycaller #5 greenpeace (no individual images, he is still listed) #6 climate depot #7 tweet #8 tweet #9 snopes #10 foxnews video Of these, #4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 all have to do with his being removed from the search carousel. He is not back in the carousel with these updated search engine results. My guess (as I cannot know) is Google manually removed him. To further give you an idea of what Google does with images... ever see the zero result at the top of a Google search result? You will see it in a box, and there will be a blurb + a link + an image. Google frequently sets an image that does NOT match that blurb and url (pissing people off who click based on that image).
  14. If you read the manifesto, you will discover the MSM is lying to you about the alleged motives. It is usually best to read all source documents yourself instead of relying on the MSM and/or political spins.
  15. (don't bother clicking, that is all the article says)
