Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Buffalo_Gal replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I've said it before, Biden is unelectable. Doesn't mean he wouldn't make a good sacrificial lamb allowing the Democratic "bench" ? time to wait until a (possible) better opportunity in 2024. -

He has a legacy!? ? ? Hillary may want to be careful and watch her back (oh the irony). I do not think President Trump is happy with her. This is what happens when you make backroom deals. The DNC promised her the 2016 nomination, and "no one" thought she could lose. She'd have been better off shutting up and not spouting "the Russians did it!" 48 hours after the election ended. 2008 is very far away for many people. Here is a fairly current link for those that need a refresher on what happened with the DNC in 2008 and Obama being the "anointed one", and why Hillary was guaranteed the 2016 nomination (and therefore the Presidency ? ). -
That was what most people were saying right after this fiasco. An "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. The fact that this piece of ***** (juicy omelet) was willing to go down to police HQ to identify two random white guys and finger them for this hoax... that, more than anything, was why this man deserves to spend time in jail.

You really think so? I think Obama is never going to have to "pay" for the actions of his administration. I'm not sure he's the brains behind any of this. Did he want to "be in the know"? Probably. Did he orchestrate this? Unlikely. Although it does have his *****-Midas touch all over it, so I could very well be wrong. Val Jar should be sleeping lightly, however. -

Ah money laundering makes the world go 'round... Are we getting warmer? This has Manafort, Yanukovych (Ukraine) and who else? Remember the Panama Papers? Swedbank Investors to Confront CEO as Laundering Case Grows </snip> This week, investors woke up to reports by the SVT network that Sweden’s oldest bank was a conduit for money sent to the former Trump campaign chairman and convicted felon Paul Manafort. That was on top of news that deposed Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych also used the bank. In all, Swedbank may have channeled up to 20 billion euros ($23 billion) in questionable funds through its Estonian unit each year between 2010 and 2016, SVT said. </snip>

Very possibly an April 12th crash-out. Breaking: Theresa May’s Brexit deal suffers third defeat in parliament MPs have rejected Theresa May’s Withdrawal Agreement for the third time, plunging Brexit into further uncertainty. A lengthy delay to Brexit is now possible, but Britain could also crash out of the EU with no deal on April 12. -
I'm very surprised by this: US new-home sales increased 4.9 percent in February Sales of new U.S. homes climbed 4.9 percent in February, an indication that falling mortgage rates have given a boost to demand from buyers. The Commerce Department said Friday that new homes sold at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 667,000 in February, an increase from an upwardly revised 636,000 in January. New-home sales are running 2.8 percent higher through the first two months of 2019 than during the same period last year. </snip>

Federal judge rules DOJ must hand over Comey memos A federal judge ordered the FBI Thursday to turn over former Director James Comey’s memos, including the notes that he took during his infamous one-on-one meetings with President Trump. Judge James E. Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled in favor of CNN, USA Today, Judicial Watch, and other outlets, telling the DOJ that it must hand over the Comey memos to the court for review and possible public release. The memos include the notes that Comey said he leaked to the media to spark the appointment of a special counsel. </snip>

They did not begin that way. And why I think - like all good peaceful protests with early success - they were infiltrated. IOW the violence was planned and carried out with a nefarious purpose to discredit the yellow vest movement. Sometimes having no leader for a movement is not a good thing. Now, who has paid for the infiltrators? That is where my tin foil hat is seeking better data. -
Awww Josh is losing 48-52.

My husband is less than pleased with the French government. He firmly believed they learned their lesson with Algiers, and cannot believe they did not.
