What is better, no guns, or more guns?
Buffalo_Gal replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The chairman of the Senate Banking Committee warned the banking industry on Thursday that it should not attempt to restrict legal gun sales by denying financial services to members of the gun industry. Sen. Mike Crapo (R., Idaho) sent a letter to eight of the country's biggest banks detailing his concerns with the way some of them had begun rejecting business from certain gun companies. In the last year, several of them have attempted to restrict what kinds of guns can be sold to the public and who they can be sold to by applying financial pressure. </snip> Link to article. -

I wondered the same thing. There seems to be evidence that this was done, but why? -

You want to consider reading the Russian thread and the DOJ appoints ... threads in this group (probably the last 100 pages of each would catch you up). You do not have to read a single opinion from anyone in this group. Read the source documents and you will see the Russian Hoax the head of the CIA, some higher-ups at the DOJ, in conjunction with the MSM have fed the American public for the last several years. From those source documents, you can see the questions you have asked are head-scratching (to put it kindly).

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Buffalo_Gal replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just now!? Ummm Joe Biden's behavior has been creepy for many, many years. The Kraken has been released, however, and his unwanted touching is now seeing more than random postings on right-leaning websites. Once I saw an article on his predilections on Vox last week, I knew people were gunning for Joey-B. In the age of #metoo and #whiteprivilege, someone has decided to try and kill any presidential aspirations he may have by getting this in front of mainstream eyeballs. The next few internal polls should be really interesting. -

We had my dog's ashes in the curio in the living room for the last 12 years. When our pooch died last fall, we buried them together. I didn't want anyone just tossing the ashes from either dog. If I planned on being buried (I don't), I'd have loved to have done the same for my dogs and me as you did for your mom and her dog. @Ol Dirty B I am very sorry for the loss of your much-beloved pet. ?

I once worked at a place that employed a mentally challenged man on the staff. I was in the break room one morning and the coffee has just finished brewing so I offered him a cup he walked in the door. He appreciatively took the coffee mug offered and after his first sip looked at me and said, "Nothing beats the first taste of a freshly brewed cup of coffee." Many times over the years I have thought of that statement, and realized that in those words was a lot of wisdom; it is often the simple things in life that are the best, and what makes life so enjoyable. -

I posted this in the foreign policy thread, but it is relevant here too. Will it force these governments to curtain the trains? Will it make the trains worse as conditions worsen in these countries with less money? Trump cuts all direct assistance to Northern Triangle countries Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala The stunning development came late Friday night. In a stunning about-face, State Department officials said that President Donald Trump is cutting off all direct assistance to the so-called Northern Triangle countries of El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. “At the Secretary’s instruction, we are carrying out the President’s direction and ending FY [fiscal year] 2017 and FY 2018 foreign assistance programs for the Northern Triangle,” a State Department spokesperson told ABC News, referring to U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. “We will be engaging Congress as part of this process.” </snip> -

Everything I have read on what he has or has not done has been pure conjecture. His office has been quiet as church mice in conducting the investigation. No testifying in front of Congress, no leaks, no press conferences. Think back on how long it was before it was generally known that Huber was even conducting an investigation - it was that quiet. It is why so many people think nothing is happening. It is possible he and his office have been sitting around twiddling their thumbs for almost two years now, but I kinda doubt that. ?♀️ -
It is the worst thing about having pets - knowing when it is time to say goodbye. I am very sorry you will be faced with this decision soon.

The Met is an easy antibiotic (my dog took it for years). Denamarin is actually an OTC med that does not require a script. It is for the liver (my dog kinda took it for years - he was a horrible pill taker so we got the two parts that are the "active" ingredients in Denamarin via Amazon, and he took those two parts for years). If your dog needs these meds long term (no idea if this will be one and done for all) you can look to walgreens family card and add your dog as a family member (I think it is $35 a year for the family). I've had it for years as it makes my scripts cheaper than under my health insurance, and my pharmacist told me pets could be included, so I added him. You can also check online pet med prices (there are several very reputable ones ... heck Cornell had us get compound meds from diamondback drugs once their pharmacy no longer compounded, so as I said there are reputable online vet pharmacies ), and again if you are near a vet school their pharmacy prices can be lower than your veterinarian. Best wishes to you and your pooch. ?
