  1. Confusing tweet as I'm assuming it's the number of snaps the players we drafted in the last five years played for us. A lot of this goes back to the 2017 offseason where we got five regulars that have started nearly every snap for at least five of the last six years (White, Dawkins, Milano, Poyer, Hyde). There's other reasons (Diggs trade, d-line rotation, etc.) but that's pry the main reason. Not many teams have that many core starters over the last six years. This list means very little by the way except to laugh at the Raiders.
  2. The last draft that didn't produce a #1 WR in the NFL was arguably 2009 and definitely 2002. Granted, they all came in different rounds. Odds are there is a #1 WR out there but finding him may be tricky. That's what Beane an his scouts get paid to do.
  3. It's becoming a Coen brothers movie plot. Maybe Lamar can make some money off of it unless he demands to be the director.
  4. If I'm McDermott, it's time to think outside the box and step out of your comfort zone.
  5. Beane worries about it or we'd have Edmunds back. Just Beane's comments about wanting to remain competitive every year we have Josh makes me think it's unlikely we'll trade for Hopkins. I don't think he wants to kick the can down the road by putting dummy years on Hopkins contract.
  6. Opening the borders more is another must if you want new businesses and tax payers given the declining US birth rate.
  7. I want to see Singletary's official number as "up to" 3.75M dollars was the report. It matters too to see if he qualifies for a comp pick.
  8. I’m not surprised given they didn’t announce the terms right away. Plus, Beane doesn’t overpay RB’s.
  9. The Patriots hoped that with Stephenson. It's a small risk and it's why I don't think this signing means Beane won't rule out Beane drafting a RB as early as the 3rd round given this is just a one year commitment with Harris.
  10. Singletary's contract was worth up to 3.75 million so we don't know the exact number guaranteed. My guess is around what Mostert got at 2.8 million maybe with some contract incentives to earn "up to" four million. Edit: Also, since the terms haven't been reported it's usually because the agent and/or player doesn't want to put it out there so it makes me think it's on the lower side of what he expected (like Poyer's deal).
  11. They signed Yeldon before drafting Singletary. They signed Johnson before drafting Cook. If the value is there I don't think they hesitate on taking a flyer in the later rounds.
  12. You're making the assumption Motor wanted to re-sign with the Bills. Maybe he doesn't like state taxes or cold weather. Harris has a no bs straight ahead run you over type running style whereas Motor was more cerebral trying to make guys miss. He's the ying to Cook's yang.
  13. Like the player and the fit. Hate that he’s coming from the evil empire.
  14. YouTube TV has has unlimited DVR and you can pause, rewind, fast forward through commericals, etc.. There's no dropoff as long as your wifi is working fine.
  15. They very well could draft a tackle in the first round as it qualifies as a premium position. I'm still all for drafting the best player available at a premium position regardless of need on either side (other than quarterback) in the first round.
  16. How is that fun? Obviously they don't but an indictment of Trump is exactly what they want. The Manhattan DA is a Democrat and that's all the ammunition Trump needs to paint this as a political hit job regardless of his guilt. Actually, now that I think about it even if the DA was a Republican it would still be portrayed by the Trump campaign as the elites trying to eliminate him from becoming president again. I can't wait for the"they're just after me because they hate you" line at one of his stupid rallies.
  17. I'm pretty sure that's the purpose if you're a democratic operative looking towards the GOP presidential primaries.
  18. We're not even going to get that. It was a series of unfortunate events that cost us Edmunds. It was the first tough free agent loss under Allen's contract and it won't be the last. It's our new reality. Deal with it.
  19. They have to with Burrow. His splits under pressure vs. kept clean are night and day. Meanwhile, Allen is the best under pressure in the NFL. I'm not saying we shouldn't prioritize OL, but I wish people would stop comparing us to the Bengals in this area.
  20. Lavonte David is arguably the best free agent out there left so if we could somehow sign him that would be huge. Maybe Von Miller can test his potential GM skills and get him here.
  21. Both are/would be huge gambles but like you said the offsetting language in Watson's contract makes it slightly less risky imo. Watson played three straight seasons in Houston without missing a game due to injury before demanding a trade. Good massage therapists I guess.
  22. It would be more of a gamble than DeShaun Watson was for the Browns considering Lamar runs a lot more. Two first round picks and at least 230 million guaranteed over five years is quite the price.
  23. Because Aaron Rodgers is a Wild Card who could change his mind at any moment. What if he decides to retire between then and now? The Packers then get nothing for him.
