LOL. I like living in the cold more than the heat. I'd pry rather move to Winnipeg than California if given the choice.

It's more the times of day. Those 9:30 games suck.

NFL may push touchbacks up to the 35 yard line
Doc Brown replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
They should just move most touchbacks to the 20. If it lands in the end zone and rolls out it's at the 20. If a player catches it and kneels in the end zone it's at the 20. Anything else (kicking it out of the end zone, having the ball roll into the end zone before kneeling it) it should be at the 35. -
NFL may push touchbacks up to the 35 yard line
Doc Brown replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Helps the Bills. One of the unintended consequences of moving the ball out to the 30 is teams scored more and it was more pronounced with better Quarterbacks. A lot of the 4th and 3 from the opponents 47 was an easier cal than a 4th and 3 from your own 48. I still don't like it though because I'm a curmudgeon who likes when extra points were 20 yards and kickoffs were kicked from 30 yards. -
Stafford given permission to seek trade
Doc Brown replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Giants have a desperate GM and head coach. Accepted -
Josh's cap number ballooned this year. Not as many free agents to re-sign as usual. You can create a lot of cap space with cuts, restructures, etc... where we can even sign pricey free agents.

I compare it to a stimulus check. It means a lot more to the people struggling to pay their rent than those who can put it in savings.

Time to go full out Eagles and used their void year approach to contracts Beane while Josh is in his prime.

NFL Off-Season Free Agency/Trade Positional Breakdown WR
Doc Brown replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bring back Diggs because I want to see the world burn. -
I wonder if there was any discussion about trading up for Brian Thomas Jr. or was their evaluation just that bad with WR's.

Let's be honest, Josh probably has 5 good seasons left
Doc Brown replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
They were victims of their own success. The Chiefs game was a stark reminder of how the defense and coaching continues to let us down against a very beatable Chiefs team. Every injury he's had over the last two years have been on either QB designed runs or scrambles. -
Not really a spicy claim. It struck me odd that Cook's agent told Schefter that he was playing on MNF despite being questionable. Great game to showcase your client. It was even weirder that he didn't play. I expected something like this to happen once the season ended because his agent obviously doesn't like to work behind the scenes and I don't think Cook does this without his agent's directive. As far as Barkley goes, the rest of their foundation was strong enough they could afford that luxury. Their wasn't a glaring weakness on that Eagles team. Barkley is an amazing RB but only managed 3.9ypc being the bad Giants o-line in 2023. The Bills have too many holes on the rest of their roster to give a RB $15m a year. If there was ever a time to sell high for Cook it would be now given his TD's are likely to regress towards the mean next year and he was great in that KC playoff game. Plus, it was the year of the Renaissance of the running back. If he's not traded I fully expect him to hold out and it'll be fascinating to watch as he'll be the first player ever to do so in McBeane's eight years here. I guess I've seen enough examples over the years of never giving running backs second contracts when their value is at an all time high. Fans, ownership, GM's, etc. will sometimes become emotionally attached to a running back and it will cloud their judgment when giving out big contracts.

Jonathan Martin and Incognito Bullygate back in the news
Doc Brown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did the NFL try and pin it on Incognito so they didn't have to address a broader problem in the league? Probably and that's pathetic. Still not a fan of Incognito the person though. -
I feel Tee Higgins = Peerless Price.
Doc Brown replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
True. He hurt his hip I believe during the Covid year but it was a surprise the Lions didn't franchise tag him after him going to the Pro Bowl the year before. Never really recovered for it and yet still got $40m guaranteed from the Giants. -

Maybe Kenny Golladay but that's pry stretching it a bit. -
Probably my favorite tweet of the Josh Allen era.

Shakir, Benford, Cook and Bernard: Who Gets a Contract Extension?
Doc Brown replied to NoName's topic in The Stadium Wall
Things would be so much simpler if they just did what I wanted and traded up for Brian Thomas Jr. last year. Lol. I doubt they go the free agency route at least this off-season. Bengals will pry re-sign Higgins and Darius Slayton doesn't really move the needle for me. My hope is they re-sign Cooper to a one year deal. Give him a full off-season in the system and develop some more chemistry with Josh. I have no clue how they'll address the outside WR long term. -
Shakir, Benford, Cook and Bernard: Who Gets a Contract Extension?
Doc Brown replied to NoName's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not the right valuation. I think he'll get a 3 year contract extension that pays him $15m per year (a little more than Darnell Mooney) over the next four years which I'd have no problem with. Love the YAC ability and finding soft spots in zones. Just wish he was a better route runner.
