  1. We play the Giants though. Go to a team like the Saints or Panthers would be good with me.
  2. I don’t want him but I don’t want another AFC team to sign him. Just retire.
  3. Oh please. Dorsey was being groomed to replace Daboll since he became QB's coach in 2019. He had ties back to the Panthers with McBeane since 2013. Their were teams after Dorsey for the OC position in 2021 but Dorsey received a promotion in title because the Bills brass knew they wouldn't have Daboll much longer. It wasn't Josh stumping for him that got him the job. In terms of his performance. The cold hard stats say that we finished second in points and yards per game and yards per game (better than the 2021 offense under Daboll). That was despite losing Beasley and Sanders who were better in their roles in 2021 than McKenzie and Davis were in 2022. Not bad for a first time coordinator despite the bad game in the divisional round of the playoffs. Let's see what Dorsey can do in his second year with an upgraded o-line and a better TE2 before we cry about his hiring.
  4. He has the potential to be. Definitely. He has more accomplishments than Obama did as a candidate. Mostly the results of governors having more power and responsibilities than a Senator. However, like Obama before the 2008 primaries, I'm not sure how Desantis will perform on a national stage. Trump steamrolled some pretty good candidates in 2016 and this is his first time back on the campaign trail against other Republicans since then. How will DeSantis handle the attacks when on a debate stage with Trump" Obama was able to beat the Clinton machine (barely) with his charisma, oracle skills, and that "fresh new penny" appeal. I think DeSantis lacks that charisma but checks the other two criteria. It should be interesting.
  5. I don't disagree with most of the analysis besides the losing to inferior teams part. I'm guessing the ratio of winning/losing to inferior teams measures up against the best on the list. I disagree with the ranking as I'd put him in the 8-12 range. Also, Belichick should be way ahead of Reid if you're looking at it from a coaching only perspective.
  6. Pry a similar ratio of people who always speed and the number of times they get a ticket.
  7. Washington Hogs Honors their history and Daniel Snyder
  8. An interesting strategy would be for Hines to return kickoffs even deep in the end zone if you load up with special team aces in the return game. Especially if other teams prioritize Special Teams less.
  9. You're paying for 53 players but if five are injured and your opponent has zero injuries they'll have 53 healthy players on game day while we'd only have 48 healthy players. That gives the healthier team even more of an advantage.
  10. You'd have a competitive disadvantage if one team has a 53 man healthy roster while the other team has only 48 healthy players. No. You'd get it at the 40.
  11. Reenacting down goes Frazier? Not the greatest caption picture.
  12. No argument from me but every move the NFL has made since its inception is motivated by maximizing profit. However, it's hard to argue it doesn't have a trickle down effect to the consumers given its popularity.
  13. It does benefit the tv viewer as you're more likely to get a better/more meaningful game. However, I don't think that positive outweighs the negatives you laid out.
  14. Money is always the reason but another reason is there's too much of a competitive disadvantage in your example if you have an injury plagued roster (say only 46 healthy players that are active) while the other team has 50 healthy players in your example.
  15. Immediate though - the trial basis is already over and it will expand in 2024. Second thought - all 32 owners are for it but they knew eight could save face with their fan bases.
  16. I'd pry put the 2020 MNF game at the Pats on that list (over the 2018 Dolphins game) when we ran up the score on them culminating with that ridiculous against the body throw to Diggs in the back corner of the end zone. Great list overall though and a lot of fun memories.
  17. No asterisk. Not my fault he didn't have his priorities straight.
  18. A nutless monkey QB could've won with that defense and running game that year. Their defense only let up 10.3 ppg in the regular season and only 5.75 ppg in their four playoff wins.
  19. May all your wishes come true but particularly the one where you wish to host the Lombardi in a Bills uniform. For those worried the Super Bowl window with him is probably over I'm just going to list some notable NFL QB's who won their first Super Bowl after turning 27. Included only NFL players that are in HOF and/or were drafted in the top 32. I excluded the first five Super Bowls because they may have won one before their age 27 season if they existed. I also excluded Trent Dilfer because he's well Trent Dilfer. Roger Staubach - age 29, Bob Griese - 27, Ken Stabler - 31, Jim Plunkett - 33, Phil Simms - 31, Steve Young - 33, Brett Favre - 27, John Elway - 37, Kurt Warner - 28, Peyton Manning -30, Drew Brees - 31, Aaron Rodgers - 27, Eli Manning - 31, Joe Flacco - 28, Matt Stafford - 34
  20. The thing is that no matter the outcome the civil suit the NFL wouldn't be able to punish him anyways since it happened before the draft. I'm thinking more long term as this case is ripe for the current political blue state/red state discourse that will only make him more polarizing reducing the likelihood of someone signing him. That's why I think he should lay low as possible and especially not give interviews with people like Tomi Lahren.
  21. The big concern with Araiza is he has a heck of a leg but has trouble with control as he struggled in college with the pooch punt as most of the time he tried to pin a team inside the 20 the ball went into the end zone for a touchback most of the time. The two punters taken ahead of him were better in that area. I had him as my number two punter behind Stout before the draft but was thrilled to get him in the sixth. The problem with even bringing him in for a competition imo is that team will have outside public pressure on that team for him to win the job.
