  1. The Ravens were more desperate as they don't have a Diggs. Plus, I wonder how much of that was to get Lamar to lower his fully guaranteed contract demand by showing him they were serious about giving him some weapons.
  2. I think he regrets the Von Miller contract and is hesitant to commit a lot of money/cap space to another 30 plus year old free agent. I'll admit that I'd have mixed feelings if he did break the bank for Hopkins too as visions of Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, and Roy Williams dance through my head.
  3. Weird swipe at Damar but they're not going to cut a quality backup who will now have three years in their system at a cost controlled rookie deal.
  4. It was. Just bad reporting on whoever Greg Price is. However, she did say the Biden's weren't at the White House on that Friday so she lied. She needs to lay off the cocaine.
  5. Am I missing something as spotrac has Murray as counting only $1.09 million against the cap with $152k signing bonus? We only save about $210k by cutting him.
  6. Biden already beat all of them in 2020 besides Newsom and you lose the advantage of being the incumbent. You are right though that strategically for the party it would be best for Biden to announce right now he’s not running for reelection. If he is running again the whole party should throw their support behind him showing unity and perseverance a year and a half out.
  7. That’s why Biden is running again despite the dementia. They have a Kammy problem.
  8. It won't. Biden is the nominee unless he dies. His job approval among Democrats is right where Obama's was at this point so they'll prop him up for one more run. His policies are popular with most of the base making it unlikely a serious challenger will challenge him. There's not much they can say policy wise that would be different than the Biden administration is currently pursuing. They're unlikely to win the primaries and will be blamed for the loss in November. The outer fringes of the party (the far left) are the democrats who disapprove of him but there isn't a well known progressive politician like Warren or Sanders that's going to challenge him in a primary and upset the apple cart. All you really have as a challenger is RFK Jr. who appeals to the fringes on each side of the aisle for different reasons. Republicans actually have a more favorable view of him than Democrats because they think he can help their guy (most likely Trump) win the general and some of the Republican grassroots agree with his anti vaccine views.
  9. I think it was a small part of it. If you wanted to do a pie graph for the Bengals game collapse my rough estimate would be injuries 60%, coaching 25%, and the mental toll of the craziest amount of off the field adversity I've ever seen one team have to deal with in a season at 15%.
  10. You're contradicting yourself. If you admit you have no idea the impact it had on them how could you come to that conclusion?
  11. Nowhere to go but up. Here's mine likely to all not come true. Non Bills: -Jets finish last in the division. -Sam Darnold will start for the 49ers in the Super Bowl. -The Raiders will have the first pick in the 2024 draft. -Eric Bienemy will be given a made up title (eg. quality control coach) and coach for the Chiefs in 2024. Bills: -We lose to the 49ers in the Super Bowl. -Josh Allen leads the team in rushing with Cook, Harris, and Murray eating into each other's carries. -Stefon Diggs leads the league in catches. -Bills go 9-0 at home (including Jags game in London).
  12. Out of curiosity, how'd you do last year?
  13. Well said. You are no longer in danger of getting your head cut off.
  14. The Jets will finish last in the division.
  15. He got a concussion running the ball on a 3rd and long in 2019 against the Patriots trying to get the first down. He got a turf toe injury on a scramble against the Bucs in 2021 when he had an opportunity to slide after getting the first down. When you run that much you're playing with fire and he just hasn't been burned too severely yet.
  16. To be fair, Cam Newton only missed two starts his first five seasons. They have a similar playing style so maybe he is a cautionary tale. However, the reality is the Bills don't really have a choice. They have to let Josh be Josh and hope he doesn't suffer the same fate as Newton. The best they can do is build up the o-line, find WR's that can separate quickly, find effective short yardage running backs, and keep hammering into Josh's head to not put his body on the line unless it's absolutely necessary.
  17. Not really surprising as in simple terms with a football example.... Republicans want to conserve the country they have (proud of the job McDermott has done and he should stay the course) while Democrats want to make changes to improve it (McDermott needs to improve in the playoffs to win the Super Bowl or he should be fired). Independents don't feel represented and are conflicted (Pegula should only fire McDermott if there's a proven viable replacement). It will ebb and flow with the societal conditions at the time (we are wasting Allen in his prime).
  18. ACT is way too low for those schools you mentioned. A 30 or below is an uphill battle.
  19. I'd agree with this from 2020 on. However, I don't think we make the playoffs in 2017 or 2019 with "any coach" like Jauron or Rex. The defense that McDermott helped build and the culture he helped create helped them perform above expectations in those years. I also don't think we get close to 13 wins last season with "any coach" given the influx of injuries to our best players on defense and all the other crazy stuff that happened from May through January. There were a lot of tricky waters to navigate through and I thought he did a great job. Up to this point he's proven he's a very good regular season coach. Now he has to prove it in the playoffs and the pressure only intensifies when you have a QB like Allen. Another blunder like 13 seconds or another instance of being thoroughly out coached like he was in the Bengals game and I'd think of moving on if I was Pegula. You'd have to have a strong conviction that there's someone else out there that would be an upgrade though. I really just don't see that happening though but I'm a cautious optimist. I think Diggs can be a great leader and it's why he was voted captain. People aren't perfect though and Diggs still has some growing up to do. I was very stupid even at 29. Still stupid now but definitely back then.
  20. Dorsey gets too much flack and Daboll too much credit imo. A lot of Josh's fumbles were usually the result of the offensive line getting beat combined with him looking for the big play. Dorsey's play design had guys open underneath on most of those fumbles. I put it more on the o-line and Josh. Also, five of his fumbles were botched snaps which are the most easy to correct.
  21. It's worse because it has a more direct economic impact of those effected. It doesn't make Trump correct in lying about Mexico paying for the wall and then circumventing congress to redirect Pentagon funds to pay for portions of the wall.
  22. Introduce bills like this that start to address the root cause of the problem. https://thehill.com/homenews/education/4049576-senate-republicans-introduce-plan-to-tackle-student-loan-debt/ The first two bills in the package specifically deal with how colleges give students information before they decide to attend. The “College Transparency Act (CTA)” would reform the college data reporting system so students have better information about outcomes at schools before committing to a university. The “Understanding the True Cost of College Act” will require schools to have a similar style for their financial aid letters with a breakdown of the aid so students can better compare offers. The last three bills deal directly with student loans, including how information is given to borrowers and limiting some borrowing. The “Informed Student Borrower Act” requires students to be more informed when applying for a loan by acknowledging they received student loan entrance materials or they participated in entrance counseling. The students would receive materials that show how long it would take to pay off their loans, how much the monthly payments would be and what they will likely make going to a certain school and program. The students would receive this information yearly. The fourth bill addresses the nine different student loan repayment options the Department of Education offers. These options, with eligibility based on income and loan type, gave borrowers different timeline options for paying off their loans and the amount they would owe each month. The bill cuts those repayment options down to two to simplify the process. The standard 10-year repayment plan for borrowers would remain and the REPAYE program would stay, with some changes. The REPAYE program gives loan forgiveness earlier to low-income individuals who have low balances on their loans. I'm not talking about taking out a college loan. I'm talking about spending money they were planning on saving to pay off their loans they assumed would be forgiven.
  23. Alf. I'd had more sympathy if this wasn't known before they signed on the dotted line. Not a fan of Biden telling people that he's going to forgive their student loan debt knowing that it didn't have the constitutional mustard to go through. People made personal financial decisions counting on that debt being forgiven.
  24. You were and I agree the Chiefs win that divisional game 8 out of 10 times without Josh playing out of his mind like he did. I think last year's regular season game where Josh didn't play out of his mind and we still won showed just how important Von is. It's why Beane signed him and if we don't get that pass rush difference maker in the playoffs then we don't have a chance.
