  1. If this season goes sideways my guess is Kraft gives him the ultimatum of give up the personnel decisions to someone else or you're fired.
  2. My mistake. One of the four things you claimed was correct. He is capable of blocking.
  3. I got the joke but I didn't want to come across as a Michael Vick defender or something like that.
  4. Pooch punts are usually shorter directional punts with the goal of pinning an opponent inside the 20. Araiza in college struggled with this. Nothing to do with kicking dogs and I'm sorry for the confusion.
  5. We still could sign him next season if we want to move on from Martin next season. My biggest concern with Araiza was his control as he had a difficult time with pooch punts in college.
  6. When the clock was kicking on that 27-10 Divisional game I was thinking man...it would be nice if we had a better punter.
  7. You said he's put up 50 catches, 900 yards, and 8 touchdowns. He's never done that in his career.
  8. We have no clue what kind of year he's going to have and Beane didn't miss the boat on an extension. They extended Knox, Dawkins, T. White, and Allen between the start of August and the regular season. I'd be more comfortable with a two or three year extension at about 10 to 12 million per year. That's where I see his value and it does nothing to prevent us from drafting a potential elite WR in the first round within the next year or two to eventually replace Diggs. If he wants more than that or wants to bet on himself so be it.
  9. No. He's never put up 50 plus receptions, 900 plus yards, or over 8 touchdowns in a season like GoBills808 quoted. Reading comprehension matters.
  10. I'm not making excuses for Gabe's drops but he's also not running quick five yard slant routes with Jimmy G throwing him the ball. He's trying to track Josh Allen rockets where his average depth of target is 15.3 yards. Of course those balls are harder to catch. He doesn't have great hands but I think those drop rates are slightly inflated. He's a good intermediate to deep route runner but quickly getting separation off the line in the short areas is not his game and never will be. The increased work load didn't hurt him as much last year as a drop off in the slot position imo. And yes I was referring to Devonta Smith btw.
  11. Given they don't have any recently drafted WR with elite potential on their roster right now they may pay him a Jacoby Myers type extension (around 3 years 33 million). I wouldn't go above that though as Gabe isn't that difficult to replace on the FA market.
  12. The drops are an issue but keep in mind his average depth of target has always been near the top of the league. I'd be interested to see for the advanced analytic nerds if there's some adjusted formula that correlates drop rate to average depth of target. No. The ideal WR2 is a potential WR1 like Smith, Waddle, or Higgins.
  13. Aaron Rodgers put up two MVP seasons with just one elite WR and a bunch of JAGS. It's all you really need. If we lose Diggs to injury Allen will look very similar to 2022 Aaron Rodgers.
  14. No he's not. He's by far our best outside WR lined up opposite Diggs.
  15. They don't care and they wouldn't believe it anyways because of their deep distrust of our institutions. When the director of the FBI publicly called her handling of classified documents "extremely careless" but didn't recommend chargers it's all they needed to think there is a double standard of justice. It's as simple as that.
  16. I'm not wrong though. The average voter isn't going to closely follow each case when the right uses that whataboutism to defend Trump.
  17. Hillary used BleachBit to delete her e-mails and the DOJ didn't indict her. The standard was set there and like it or not that's what Trump supporters will be moaning about no matter what becomes of all this.
  18. I'd laugh so hard if Rodgers's arm fell off as quickly as Peyton Manning's did.
  19. They're playing with fire as those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. If you want to preserve Allen, prioritize the o-line more than you have, get WR's who can separate, and cut the designed QB runs to an absolute minimum. That's what you saw in 2020. It was the best o-line/wr supporting cast he had and it was the year he had his least amount of rushing attempts and sacks per game.
  20. Bradley Chubb fetched a first rounder and Chris Jones is better than him. It’s multiple firsts where GM’s rightly become hesitant.
  21. There’s another possibility that McDermott/Allen thought they would put Diggs “in his place” after him showing up Josh with his arms raised in that Bengals game. It just happened to be the first time they saw each other since Diggs wasn’t at voluntary OTA’s. It backfired and they realized they effed up. Just throwing it out their because we’ll never truly know exactly what happened.
  22. True but the length of the contract is what makes Allen's a "steal." His deal was essentially eight years (six year extension with two years left on rookie deal). Herbert's is seven. Hurts's was six. Lamar's and Watson's was five years. Mahomes's 12 year commitment is the biggest steal in the league.
  23. Wow. Didn't expect them to release the behind the scenes confrontation between Diggs and McDermott at 23:26. Embedded is stepping up their game.
