  1. I thought it was 31st. It would be interesting if he included Diggs as a first rounder where we would land.
  2. I think his offensive line took it too literally.
  3. Should've never been that close. Reid completely out-coached McDermott/Babbich on offense. That offense hadn't looked that good all season. The Eagles shutting them down in the Super Bowl made it look even worse. Brady and Allen not having a variation on the tush push may have cost us the game and Spags had them ready for it. McDermott challenging on that Xavier Worthy "catch" despite Hamlin holding on that same play would've saved the team 10 yards on defense? Wasted challenge. I thought McDermott made the right calls on the two point conversion decision and the 4th down decisions. I'll give him credit for that. His decisions throughout the year impressed me when it comes to 4th down decisions. A lot of head coaches with a defense background are usually stuck in their ways and McDermott has shown the ability to adapt with an always changing game.
  4. Beane needs that end of the 3rd round pick back.
  5. Probably but his stock is at an all time high right now and it may plummet by this time next year. It also depends on how many free agents we sign next year.
  6. Always interesting to see how the sausage is made.
  7. If he drops to 30 Beane and Veach can do the funniest thing ever.
  8. So, BPA at certain positions then. What positions would you not take BPA besides QB?
  9. McDermott got outcoached by Reid. Again. The Ravens and Bills had more talent than the Chiefs.
  10. What if Shedeur Sanders is their best player available on their board when they pick at #30? Still going by your BPA philosophy?
  11. It would take a team with a really good offensive line without any talent at RB and be okay with dealing with his limitations as a pass blocker. Cooper played at a premium position so if it worked out it would completely justify giving up a 3rd. It didn't. If there's some team with a great offensive line looking for a running back on a one year rental than you'd pry be able to get a 4th or a 5th for him.
  12. Keeps him fresher too. Beane signing free agents with PED suspensions and daring players to sit out might be the drastic thing he thinks is needed to win the Super Bowl. No more Mr. Nice guy.
  13. I read that and came to the opposite conclusion in that he got more touches near the goal line compared to the the year before. I remember him running over that Chief and thinking if he didn't put muscle on during the off-season he wouldn't have scored that TD. Same thing in the playoff game on that 4th and goal. Not sure what the data is on that though.
  14. I'm afraid McDermott is going to beg Beane to move up for him.
  15. Freaked me out.
  16. His floor so far in his career is 900 receiving yards his rookie year which is better than any other WR on our roster. Josh Allen is an upgrade over Russ and Geno. He'd immediately become the most explosive and big play WR Josh has every played with. He's definitely emotional on the field but a lot of his teammates and coaches have defended him. I'd sign up for another four years of Diggs like production even if he is a "diva." Golden opportunity missed by Beane imo.
  17. Benford had an elite season last year. Taron Johnson was 2nd all team pro in 2023. Beane's always better at finding diamonds in the rough on day 3. Even Cook was the second last pick of the 2nd round.
  18. Could've easily signed both. He only has $60m guaranteed and it would've been easy to get out of after two years. His cap hit this year would've only been $11m.
  19. Your football takes are good. Your ability to comprehend a joke isn't as strong. Of course the Eagles don't suck. They just won the Super Bowl. I say this every year after free agency. Let's see what this roster looks like in September.
  20. Eagles suck. Couldn't even beat the Falcons. I agree with all your points and it's why I banged the drum for Metcalf as he was the only true difference maker that we could've realistically obtained in this free agent cycle. For Beane to completely shift philosophies like the poster inclined isn't the answer either considering we've gone to the divisional round five straight years. Tweaking would be a better word for it.
  21. A.) If Metcalf only produced a 2nd than I doubt the Bills could do any better than a 2nd. Teams know they'd have to pay him a top of the market deal. B.) As long as it isn't the Chiefs.
  22. We just lost the AFC Championship game by three points against a healthier Chiefs team. You make it seemed like we're doomed to never make the Super Bowl if Beane doesn't make some drastic change in philosophy.
  23. You're right. I misread. The idea that at least if we overpay for Cook he'll give us more production than we got from overpaying Knox is probably what I'd do to cope. Lol.
  24. Not really. Definitely in free agency but he'll let Bills players walk if they can find a better deal elsewhere (Edmunds, Davis, Phillips, Wallace, etc.). As for Knox, TE's make a little more and have a longer shelf life than RB's so I understood the contract at the time as he looked great his 3rd year (587 receiving yards, 9 TD's). However, I didn't love the move as TE isn't a premium position. It's very possible that Cook's year last year will be the best of his career. Also, you can't use one bad extension to justify another potential bad extension.
  25. Most RB's start to lose a step around 27 years old regardless of "wear and tear" on their body. Seemed to be the case with Dalvin. James will turn 26 in June. The rookie salary structure screws RB's more than any other position. Beane could very well play hardball with Cook and put the transition tag on him after next year but he hasn't done that (or the franchise tag) since he gotten here. Should be interesting.
