  1. Hosting a small party. -Crock pot chicken wings with Frank's hot sauce and butter. Will pry broil them for five minutes after the early games and then back in the slow cooker. -Meatball Sliders -Bacon wrapped water chestnuts with chili sauce -Leftover mac and cheese we had catered for my father in law's funeral reception. Will pry just add bacon to it as he would've wanted.
  2. I feel like you can just say Diggs every week for this thread and it would be the right answer.
  3. That's what's frustrating. Republicans have every advantage you can ask for going into 2024. All they have to do is look like a semi competent party and stay out of the way.
  4. Shanahan addressed this directly on a podcast before last season that when they made the trade they knew it was going to be either Mac Jones or Trey Lance. They just weren't sure yet (which is crazy to me giving up two first round picks for him and swapping one). I also remember reading in an article shortly following that draft that while he believes being able to play from the pocket is the most important QB trait there's added value in being able to run because it will make playing from the pocket easier. I think he really liked both QB's but Lance's higher athletic ceiling persuaded him to take him. RG3's rookie campaign and watching Josh Allen destroy his defense on MNF may have played a role in that decision too. Just my guess.
  5. It was a day game but the Vikings/Chargers game where we got to witness the full Kirk Cousins experience was fun to watch.
  6. Valid point although we don't always far apart as last year we had close wins against the Ravens, Chiefs, Dolphins (twice), Lions, and Browns. I just think we're average at winning close games under McDermott/Allen while they're exceptional under Reid/Mahomes.
  7. Maybe this year but we've hard our share of "ugly" wins under McDermott in the past. Last year I'd argue we won ugly against the Ravens, Jets (home), Browns, Lions, and Patriots (home) last year. All inferior opponents in pretty ugly games. As far as the playoffs go, I consider our wins against Baltimore in 2020 and the Fish last year ugly wins against inferior opponents. Having said that, it's something teams like the Chiefs, Eagles, and 49ers are better at doing on a consistent basis.
  8. Those abominations look better at night although it’s still like putting lipstick on a pig.
  9. In Mahomes's case an owner of an opposing team would have to persuade him to demand a trade and that team would make Watson's trade compensation look like a joke.
  10. Bills usually take care of business as heavy favorites under McDermott. However, there was the Jags two years ago (14.5 points favorites) and the Jets last year (10.5 point favorites). Both on the road though and coming off wins though so I highly doubt McDermott doesn't have this team laser focused this Sunday night. He pry should've checked out of some run plays though. Other than that he had a good game.
  11. I should of clarified. If some team is stupid enough to do it. It only takes one.
  12. If you're looking at a team like the Vikings then I'd look right at Harrison Phillips if they feel he's an upgrade. Not sure how much contract they'd have to eat or what they'd give up. He knows the system though and is a better option than Ford/Settle imo.
  13. Everyone has a price and if some contending NFC team offers a first or a bad team offers a second then they'd have to consider it. Unlikely to happen but you never know.
  14. Right. Black kids were much more likely not to graduate from high school in 1960 (23%) to today (83%) ... so the original premise of this thread is wild to me.
  15. Kelce will just shake it off. Shake it off.
  16. Besides Allen and Diggs, this was the guy we could most ill afford to lose. Just brutal. At least our offense is healthy so we're just going to have to win in shootouts.
  17. That's true but in 1960 only 23% of the adult black population graduated from high school but that number's up to 83% now. It was about 40% for white adults in 1960 and is at 87% now. As far as the slogan, it plays on people's nostalgia which is a hell of a drug. It's what makes Trump a great marketer. I think we all long for the simpler times and remember them as better than they really were. Just my two cents.
  18. One good thing about giving up this home game is there's an 80% chance of rain with 20mph winds (45mph gusts) in Orchard Park on Sunday. I'm not sure if it's been discussed but was there any thought about making the new Bills stadium a dome?
  19. I personally think that the biggest fear refs have are coming across as bias but the NFL embracing the Taylor Swift soap opera may make the conspiracists think they're favoring the Chiefs even more. With betting involved the NFL is playing with even more fire.
