I did. You said the offensive numbers were inflated because we played bad defenses. I countered showing that they put up 27+ points in all three playoff games against top 10 defenses. Nobody after the Chiefs game said man our lack of a vertical threat at WR cost us our first Super Bowl appearance in 31 years. It was we can't get to the passer and our secondary minus Benford was absolutely dreadful. I just get sick of hearing over the years that McDermott's defense let us down again in the playoffs and out of the other side of their mouth say man Josh needs more help. Again, I was pounding the table for DK Metcalf because he was the only realistic option that could've made this offense scary as hell. Once that ship sailed I was fully prepared to accept the fact that we were going to just run it back on offense and hope we go heavy in free agency and the draft attacking our defensive deficiencies. This was the first off-season I've seen them attack their defensive problems aggressively as they did. Would I have liked them to take a day three swing at a WR like Marquez Stevenson or what the Chiefs did with that Royal kid this year to maybe stress the defense a little more vertically. Sure. Not at the expense of fixing this defense though. Complementary football. I'll complement the offense in that game and that's it.

Playoffs: Broncos defense ranked - 3rd in points allowed. 7th in Yards allowed. Put up 31 points. Ravens defense ranked - 9th in points allowed. 10th in yards allowed. Put up 27 points. Chiefs defense ranked - 4th in points allowed. 9th in yards allowed. Put up 29 points. All I've heard the last five years is how the defense failed Josh in the playoffs which is true. We invest a lot of resources into the defensive side of the ball this off-season and now some fans are complaining we're not helping Josh enough on offense. Damned if you do. Damned if you don't.

I agree. I just think there wasn't a WR good enough to draft after the first round and a half. Metcalf would've really moved the needle. Still ticks me off.

Yeah. The Chiefs made the Super Bowl three years ago because of their offense and made the Super Bowl the last two years primarily because of their defense. LOL. I didn't realize our defense was that bad and just shows how elite/somewhat lucky they were at creating turnovers.

Offense - 2nd in ppg, 10th in ypg, 9th in passing, 9th in rushing, 7th in 3rd down conversion%, 2nd in red zone TD%. Defense - 11th in ppg, 17th in ypg, 24th in passing, 12th in rushing, 29th in 3rd down conversion%. 16th in red zone TD%. I pounded the table for Metcalf but there wasn't a WR we had available to us in the draft that would've moved the needle much as our WR5. Our D-line and Secondary were the problem last year and ultimately the reason we didn't get to the Super Bowl.

Forget the resources we've used since 2017. It's irrelevant at the present moment and a McBeane failure on defense. After watching the Ravens and Chiefs game last season which side of the ball needed a major overhaul? I don't want to be like the Bengals and hope our offense scores 35 plus points because that's our only chance to win.

Besides drafting Coleman with their first pick last year, Kincaid with a 1st rounder the year before, signing Samuel last year, signing Palmer this year, having a top 5 o-line to protect him, and signing Palmer this year...... we have failed Josh Allen.

I was pounding the table for trading for Metcalf. Once we missed out on him I didn't give a crap about adding another Marquez Stevenson in the draft.

We got our TE3. LOL. My expectations coming into this draft on offense was a TE3 and maybe an interior OL. Our defense is what cost us a Super Bowl trip last year and we didn't lose any of our offensive starters from last year. Maybe swap Palmer for Cooper. No problem whatsoever with this draft.

He was the best prospect available by Kiper so that scares the hell out of me.

Kiper made it about him all three days of this draft. The Sanders fall was a significant story but NFL Network did a much better job at highlighting/celebrating the players that were drafted.

I feel ripped off then because he said a couple of weeks ago he'd come back better than ever.

Sanders, Gabriel, Watson, and Flacco is an interesting QB room.

Mel Kiper knows more than every GM in the league combined apparently.

If there's one thing I learned from last year is fans value WR's more than this regime does.

I'm not sure Kiper's making it until tomorrow.
