  1. When your starter is Kenny Pickett none of those games are gimmes. I can easily see them going 2-5 or 3-4.
  2. He would've helped us tremendously but not a fan of the person.
  3. It would be even worse if Beane didn't make the trade for Douglas. Losing Taron Johnson next week would be pretty deflating. Concussions are so unpredictable as far as timelines are concerned.
  4. We need the 12th man to step up today (just not on field goal blocks) and make Zach Wilson's life miserable.
  5. Poyer looks like his old self after a slow start and his PFF grade (I know it's not gospel) is similar to previous seasons. Hyde does look like he lost a step though and the metrics back that up.
  6. I don't care who the author is. "It has unfortunately taken 60 years for black Americans to realize what has happened to them and their culture." Couldn't figure it out after 55 years I guess.
  7. I love the arrogance here as it implies black people have been too dumb to vote for Republicans. The truth is that black Americans prioritize group solidarity in politics more than any other race in America out of necessity (only 13% of the population). They then can use their strength in numbers to hold the Democratic's party feet to the fire. If you don't meet our needs we'll withhold our vote.
  8. I knew Justin Jefferson was the problem.
  9. Dawson Knox was coming off a breakout season with 49 receptions, 587 yards, and 9 touchdowns. At the time we presumed he still had a lot of upside considering how raw he was coming out of college. The contract wasn't ridiculous although TE is a non premium position They just would've made Matt Barkley the backup if it was all about appeasing Josh. Kyle Allen has started a lot of games in this league and it was a decent signing for the price tag considering how much against the cap we were. These takes are just comical at this point.
  10. At least this means we pry won't have to play them next year.
  11. McDermott and Beane worked with him in Carolina and here so he pry had a good feel for his leadership skills. If there were any complaints among the players about him they kept it in house. I find it hard to believe he was promoted just because Josh "wanted him" as there was a lot of national reporting that he was a sought out candidate for offensive coordinator vacancies across the league after the 2020 season. To me the writing was on the wall for him to take over for Daboll whenever he got a head coaching gig when he was given the extra title of "passing game coordinator" along with qb's coach in 2021. I imagine he's going to get more opportunities as an offensive coordinator elsewhere in the future given he coordinated a top five offense for most of his tenure. Hell, Brian Daboll was offensive coordinators for three NFL teams before he came here and his resume was nothing to write home about.
  12. This is an absurd take. It’s $43 million a year.
  13. It's been tried and Daboll killed any hope that it will be tried again. Go to 7:55.
  14. Not until after next year as his contract is basically untradeable. Diggs can either play on his deal through 2024 or sit out 2024 and not get paid.
  15. He sounds smart but this is my go to guy...
  16. Run effectively when you have to in the current NFL but it’s a passing league. It seemed you were advocating for a run heavy offense since 2020 based on that comment. I’d be fine with us just wearing all black.
  17. Even on Monday night when the Broncos were running out to kick the field goal I smirked because they beat us some time during the drought on a similar situation at home. The painful losses just blur together after awhile.
  18. I liked the aggressiveness and the unpredictability. There's no way they do an all out blitz twice. Right? I'm guessing nearly everyone (including Wilson) thought it was going to be a bluff and they were going to drop into coverage. I think Russ would've found a way to get at least five yards to get them in field goal range if we dropped back in coverage. Scramble, flip to the running back, quick slant, etc... Lutz has a strong leg so at that point I'd rather our defense win it for us and force them to go for it on 4th down. The thought at that point allowing them to set up for the game winning field goal would've sucked. Russ just made a veteran play (albeit desperation pass) and Jeudy did well to draw the PI. McDermott had a good defensive game plan all night (a complete 180 from the Bengals game) especially considering how short handed we were in the secondary. I know they gave up the game winning drive but we would've been down double digits if they didn't keep bailing the offense and special teams out. The defense deserved to win that game.
  19. No. You're wrong. Before this year we were top three in offense going back to 2020 and it was because we were pass happy. If we have to rely on our running game we're screwed.
  20. Do we get to skip the Eagles game? I'm for that.
  21. True. The Cook fumble, Davis drop that led to a tipped int, the two long special team returns, Josh’s INT before half, Josh missing a wide open Shakir on that 4th down, and the botched handoff Allen/Cook fumble left out defense in some tough spots.
  22. Absolutely. Odd scapegoat after your offense gives you the lead only for your defense and special teams to eff it up.
  23. I'm in the minority but Dorsey didn't deserve to be fired. This was a panic move.
