That sounds exactly like Beane. LOL. Come on. Just give them our 1st and we give Allen a bonifide #1 for the next four years.
-
Think he'd be happy in a TE3 role?
-
Chargers make a lot of sense to give Herbert a decent downfield weapon. Not sure how good of a fit he'd be in a Greg Roman offense though.
-
Jesus. You can buy some really nice winter hats and gloves for $30m a year.

Poll: Would you rather have 1000yds & 10TDs or 13 Sacks & 10 TFLs?
Doc Brown replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
That would be historically bad stats for both units. -
This has not been a pleasant date the last two years. It begins with Martin.
-
I thought he was pretty good last year and I liked the stability of him holding for Bass. However, I am aware he is just a punter.
-
I'm pro have a potential historic offense next year so I'd give up pick #30 for him and give him $30m a year. At worst they make a 30 for 30 documentary on the deal. Next three years minimum we'd have Allen, a solid o-line, Metcalf, Shakir, Coleman, Davis/2nd day running back, and Kincaid. This is Allen's prime window and Beane neglected outside WR since trading for Diggs. Scared money don't make money.

Eagles reset RB market, extend Barkley.

What's interesting about Shakir's contract is how easy it is to get out of it after 2026 before the maximum cap hits. If Cook's deal is similar I still wouldn't agree with it but wouldn't be overly critical if the Bills did extend him. There's something to be said about rewarding a player who put all the work in to exceed expectations. -
We could easily create more than $50m in cap space by simple contract restructures so bringing him in won't be a problem. We'll still have plenty of cap space for Hollins and Johnson. I would love to unload Cook for a 2nd rounder but I doubt that happens. My guess is he'll push for $30m/year on a 4 year extension (4 years, $120m). Could be 3 years $90m if he wants a 4th bite at the apple. I think he's worth it but I can definitely see the case for people saying it's too much $ for a player that hasn't been statistically a top 10 WR since he was drafted.

I don't think they should count alternates as Pro Bowlers. They should just do away with any pro bowl event whatsoever. Just announce them like any other award.
-
He's worth it. His presence would have a 2020 Diggs like impact where Josh had his "breakout" and best statistical season. An outside WR with his speed, height, and weight is rare and opens everything else up. Seahawks offense was pathetic last year the couple of games he was out.

Good thing I’m not GM as I’d be on the phone right now saying you can have all our draft picks the next two years and a set of steak knives for Metcalf.
-
I strongly disagree as they play close to 100% of the snaps and both should've been pro bowlers this year. The dropoff between them and a potential rookie or free agent at their position is significantly more than if we were to draft a RB in rounds 2 or 3 to replace Cook. There are a lot of exciting RB prospects that we can get on rookie contracts this draft on day 2.

A 27 year old WR that wears #14 that's been misused in an offense so far in his career with confusing character reports is available via trade? I'm just guessing but maybe a first and fourth should suffice.

Jags release Christian Kirk, seems like a Billsy move

I don't know about Hollywood Brown. I feel like he'd get injured getting hit by a feather. -
That's not how you spell DK Metcalf. Maybe a clerical error.

Three of the four times they got the first round bye too which is huge. The year they didn't we had to play on short rest because of a blizzard that delayed the game a day and had a cluster of injuries at LB. I think the Chiefs had two extra days of rest. The sole focus of the Bills this year should be to aim for that #1 seed. Two of the four teams are in rebuild mode in our division and it's always something with the Dolphins. I doubt the Chiefs go 15-2 again as there was some luck involved in that record and the Chargers/Broncos are teams on the rise. The AFC North will cannibalize each other like always. The only competition might actually be the Texans and beating them gives us the tie breaker. If we get the one seed and still lose to the Chiefs than we might just have to just beg the league to switch conferences.

I'll let some other team make that bet as I doubt the Bills give him that role this season. Protecting Allen should be the priority. -
Gonzo Mock Draft Version 2.0 After Combine( Starts on Page 5)
Doc Brown replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
I googled it too and came away more confused. Lol. Thanks for clarifying. I think it might point to a trend that teams are valuing their draft picks more now than ever.
