The hole on the Bills roster that could ruin the season
Doc Brown replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember 2013 when there was the Barkley, Nassib, Manuel, Glennon, Geno debate and which one would best fit Marrone's West Coast system. What a waste of time. -

Beane may have reached out to him for all we know. I doubt Cam given his accomplishments wanted to back up Josh Allen. In NE, he will compete for the starting role. -
What's your favorite crockpot recipe?
Doc Brown replied to Westside's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If you're a pulled pork fan there's a really simple recipe that even I couldn't screw up. All you need is a pork loin, bbq rub, and bbq sauce (I use sweet baby ray's). Had it last week and had it for lunch three days in a row because it was that good. Here's the recipe.... https://jenniferbanz.com/crock-pot-pork-loin-bbq-pulled-pork -
AJ Green to Pats rumors.

I'd like to see a poll of Browns and Jets fans seeing if they'd trade Mayfield or Darnold for him straight up. My guess is no as fans generally rally around their guy.

Month suspension or banned?

Randy Moss, Darrelle Revis and Junior Seau are three that immediately come to mind. Chad Johnson, Albert Haynesworth, Adalius Thomas, and Antonio Brown come to mind on the other end of the spectrum.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Doc Brown replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Possible as an Italian doctor said the same recently. Another possibility is with social distancing/mask wearing people are getting infected with a lower amount of the virus but still test positive. -

Not surprising as here's what Belichick said about him in 2017... A healthy Cam Newton is a problem. “I think when you’re talking about mobile quarterbacks — guys that are tough to handle, can throw, run, make good decisions … — I would put him at the top of the list,” Belichick said Wednesday. “Not saying there aren’t a lot of other good players that do that, but I would say of all the guys we played recently in the last couple of years, I think he’s the hardest guy to (defend). He makes good decisions, can run. He’s strong. He’s hard to tackle. He can do a lot of different things. He can beat you in a lot of different ways. We saw that in the game in 2013. I would put him at the top of the list. I’m not saying the other guys aren’t a problem, because they are. But he’s maybe public enemy No. 1.”

2020 Election is officially Trump vs Biden
Doc Brown replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Flat out false. He rejected medicare for all, the defund the police movement, banning fracking on private land, wealth tax, wall street speculation tax, free college, tax increases for the middle class, college debt forgiveness, etc.. The difficult part will be sticking to those positions. As far as that question he claimed he didn't understand the question which I actually believe given his declining mental capacities that the right will be pushing. Plus, he was VP to the "deporter in chief" so I don't even know if that moment will stick. What won Biden the nominee is primary voters saw him as more of an old guard moderate democrat and were afraid Bernie's policies were too extreme for a general election. The older democratic voters flat out rejected Bernie in large numbers in the Midwest and other important swing states (FL, AZ, NC). I think Trump's team is realizing associating him with the hard left is a tough sell and they need to hit him on actual unpopular policy positions he's taken in the past. -
2020 Election is officially Trump vs Biden
Doc Brown replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I always hear that media narrative by the right as a built in excuse when they dominate talk radio and have the number one cable news network. Having said that, I'm well aware of Biden's weaknesses and was surprised he won the primaries. The best case I can make for him is people are sick about talking about politics and just want the status quo back. "Trump fatigue" if you will. What's interesting about Trump's strategy so far is he's trying to tie Biden in with the radical left when he's basically been a neoliberal centrist his whole public career. It won't work. Trump's campaign should focus more on substance including his Iraq War vote, NAFTA vote, the crime bill vote he helped write, etc... -

Yeah. Enthusiasm is definitely a problem for Biden as he's trying to make this election a referendum on Trump. Staying out of the spotlight and not caving to the radical left is smart on his team's part. -
Rank the AFC East coaches since BB came to New England
Doc Brown replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A regression to the mean was pry expected but to go from 40 to 11 is on coaching. He did put together a good coaching staff which is why I said his downfall was being too stubborn with his defensive scheme. He had Dareus and M. Williams publicly complaining that they had to drop back in coverage for crying out loud. -

Rex's downfall was he was too stubborn with his system (which had been figured out by many teams before he got to Buffalo) to play to our defensive strengths. M. Williams, Hughes, Dareus, and K. Williams had 40 sacks total in 2014. They had 11 total in 2015. It's a shame too because Taylor and Shady in Greg Roman's system with an elite defense could've made some noise in the playoffs. He then scapegoated his failures by releasing Mario and firing Roman after the Bills gave up 37 points to the Fitzpatrick led Jets. There was also this embarrassing headline just to show you how little he paid attention to the details. Rex Ryan unhappy Chiefs’ video board didn’t show some replays -
This is why people label ppp a cesspool.

Without any power to choose who those people are. I guess they could always move. -

Doc Brown replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's crazy to me that approximately 600,000 full time DC residents don't have any federal voting representation when they have to pay federal taxes. Just incorporate the part of the district where the most people live into Maryland and add a house member along with an electoral vote if the worry is that Dems will pick up two extra Senate seats by making it a state. The small area where the most important government buildings, parks, and monuments will still be the District of Columbia. -
It was a mistake because of how much money they put into their o-line. You don't need a premier running back to have a successful running game as the running game was fine before Zeke was drafted. It's the reason they didn't sign Murray to a huge contract. Even in 2015 when they went 4-12 McFadden had over 1000 yards with a similar ypc (4.6 to Zeke's 4.5).

COVID-19 took the heat off Belichek & Kraft

Congress only comes through when there's enough political pressure to reach a compromise. Trump isn't a fiscal conservative and it's a reelection year. As long as he has a stranglehold on the Republican party I don't see any reason Republicans in the Senate won't cave to extending federal unemployment benefits (at a reduced rate or slowly phased out) along with another round of stimulus checks.
-
LOL. When I worked for Collins/Gowanda Correctional about 10 or so years they were still using that operating system. That's NYS for you. My sister is a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory and they're trying to lure back their workers by offering the maximum amount of hours you can work while still being able to collect the federal steroid unemployment benefits. My guess at this point is Congress will ultimately agree to extend the federal unemployment stipend for at least three months but reduce the amount. It all depends on the trajectory of the virus though.
-
Depends on the virus. If states can open back up you'll see that unemployment number drop and spending should go back to pre covid levels. The government stimulus and beefed up unemployment benefits kept most people afloat which is pry the main reason for the increase in May. They may have to pass something similar again.
