I look at it like this. If Allen goes down and Barkley is our starter we're screwed. We'd be in a similar situation as Pittsburgh was last year when Roethlisberger went down. Barkley's awful and that away Jets game performance was a fluke when you look at the rest of his career. I'd prefer another backup QB but Winston would at least gives us a puncher's chance. So, I'd take Winston if you forced me to choose as his TD to INT ratio his first four seasons was better than last year.

A - The Bills basically got a bonafide proven #1 WR with their first round pick who was the most obvious piece this offense was missing last year at a reasonable price. Not having to give up a player, a 2nd, or a 3rd is also big. I really don't care about a 4th and a 5th considering we had two of them anyways. The only reason it isn't a straight A is I don't know how good of a teammate Diggs is.

Scary that he has Evans, Godwin, Howard, and Brate to work with in Arians offense. The interior of their line is really good. They desperately need help at the tackle positions or Brady may not make it to 44.

So, you're assuming in both these situations the same CB would've been on Brown in both of those situations with Diggs lining up opposite him and that every play up to that point in the game wouldn't have been altered with Diggs in the lineup. You should work for WRG.

We'll see. I thought the same thing about Shady and he turned out okay. There was a thread a month or so ago asking if you'd trade a 1st for Diggs and I said without hesitation as long as Beane made sure he was right mentally and wouldn't turn into a distraction. I hope that's the case.

We also didn't have a David Johnson to offer which was obviously important to O'Brien for some reason. It's a fair trade that makes sense for both teams for where they are as a franchise. Spielman and Beane should get credit for having the guts to pull the trigger.

Desperate to free up salary cap space, a strong WR draft class, and a rocky relationship between him and Cousins is my guess. It made sense for both teams and the compensation was fair. I'm sure Beane did his homework as far as Digg's attitude goes.
