  1. With the 99th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select Erza Cleveland, OT, Boise State. Because he's awesome. The Patriots @section122 are on the clock.
  2. That alone is bad reporting. Tell us how many current employees and how many former full time employees. My cousin's husband works as a video editor for PSE and got furloughed and I talked to him over the weekend. He's had nothing but nice things to say about management. Particularly Kim. There's some very informative information in the article but it's not as balanced as it should be.
  3. Here's what I got from the article... -The Pegula's were overly ambitious and PSE expanded too quickly that an economic downturn has created an unfortunate situation where tough choices had to be made. -Graham was looking for disgruntled ex employees and found them. -It's highly unlikely we get a new stadium here unless the majority of the funding comes from the tax payers.
  4. Jon Greenard to add young talent to the DE position. Could develop into an effective pass rusher and allow us to release Murphy.
  5. Interesting mock having Dolphins trading up to #3 for Herbert and Tua slipping all the way to #13 with the Pats trading up to get him. I wouldn't be thrilled with the Pats getting Tua. Jets take OT Becton. 3. Miami (trade with Detroit)—Justin Herbert, quarterback, Oregon It’s funny. Whether Miami makes the trade or not, I think Miami and Detroit will make the same picks. I do think, for the peace of mind and to prevent anyone from leapfrogging them, the Dolphins would be smart to deal the 39th overall pick to Detroit to move up two slots here. Anyway, I don’t know if Herbert’s going to be Miami’s pick. My pick is based on Miami choosing to go conservative here instead of trying to hit a triple in the gap by picking Tua Tagovailoa. Because the Dolphins have done a good job hiding their intentions, I won’t be shocked either way—if they go the risky way with Tua, or if they repeat 2006 and make the safe call with Herbert. Daunte Culpepper, 2006; Herbert, 2020. And they’ll hope it’s a better result this time. My theory is that Tagovailoa would have been the pick had he not dislocated his hip last November. But if it is Herbert, he’ll get to sit behind a pro’s pro, Ryan Fitzpatrick, for a year or most of a year, and be in position to take over in a more normal 2021 season. 13. New England (trade with San Francisco)—Tua Tagovailoa, quarterback, Alabama So Tagovailoa could drop, and Bill Belichick really doesn’t want to take a quarterback now, with one draft pick in the top 85 this year and needs all over his roster. And truly: I have no indication, no inside information, that says he’d do this. It’s simply a guess. But think if you’re Belichick. Because your team never finishes 3-13, you never have a chance to get one of the best quarterbacks in the college game. Until Tagovailoa’s hip popped out of the socket last November, forcing immediate and urgent surgery, he was 1/1A with the transcendent Joe Burrow to be the first pick in this draft. And you don’t want to pillage the lone first or lone second-round pick from next year’s draft. But do you do it for a great but pockmarked talent such as Tagovailoa five months after major hip surgery? I do know Belichick would have confidence in his player-procurement skills. I also don’t know what the New England orthopods will say about him. I do know one respected team doctor for an NFL team who gave Tagovailoa the once-over at the combine, and I asked him what he thought about Tagovailoa’s propensity for injury while at Alabama—a broken hand, two high-ankle sprains, and a hip dislocation most recently. This is what this doctor—whose team is not in the market for a first-round quarterback—told me Thursday: “These contact injuries are part of the game. You ask yourself, ‘Is this guy injury-prone, or does he have a bullseye on him because he’s a crucial player on his team?’ I’ve seen a few of the hip dislocations in football, and my experience is that if you lose blood supply to the hip for a long-enough period of time, you’re in trouble. I don’t think that was the case here. As I see it, the effects of the dislocation might show up when he’s 35, but not when he’s 25.” Cautiously optimistic then. Tough call for a franchise, but when would the Patriots ever get a shot at a potential superstar quarterback? Even if they had to throw in next year’s first-rounder, I think this would be a risk worth taking for the Patriots.
  6. A 5th for Justin Fournette - at the worst we get a comp pick in 2021. Other than that bpa at any position other than QB, RB, LS, K, and P.
  7. If you're the Jets I'd rather sign Clowney and trade Adams for draft picks. You'd at least get a 1st and a 3rd minimum for Adams.
  8. I wasn't aware of this poll and agree with your take. It does show me that the majority still fear the virus enough to except the mitigation rules in place. Those would be better questions and my guess is in your hypothetical is they'd choose the middle option. I've just been following this daily tracking poll and opinion hasn't shifted much when it comes to social distancing measures. The overall tolerance for mitigation is still fairly high right now but you'll pry see more resistance once the number of deaths go significantly down.
  9. Oh, there's no changing opinions when it comes to political views. Well aware of that. I was talking more about the political danger of opening up too soon. Especially in NYC. Long term I agree that he can't embrace the far left policies as this primary clearly showed this party is not willing to go there.
  10. Not really. The majority of Americans in nearly every national poll feel unsafe about going out in public and approve of the lockdowns. These protests are a vocal minority. Until you can get some kind of effective treatment, the number of deaths go significantly down, or develop a vaccine that fear won't dissipate (especially in what they went through and are still going through in NYC). There'd be more backlash against him if he opened things back up too quickly.
  11. I don't think that was likely as the 49ers weren't going to let him go after a decent 2011 season under Harbaugh. Most of us were still high on Fitz as we blamed his rib injury along with injuries to Jackson, our o-line, and Stevie for his poor finish in 2011 after a really hot start. Good Fitz/Bad Fitz wasn't as established a trend. There was a lot of debate about upgrading his backup through the draft in the mid to later rounds. Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins were names floated out there. In typical Bills fashion we decided let's just bring Vince Young in to compete for that backup role with Thigpen. When that didn't work out we thought Tarvaris Jackson could be a good idea. Just really bad timing going into 2013 in desperate need of a franchise QB in possibly the worst crop of QB draft prospects in recent memory.
  12. There's a lot of good depth at the RB position and you can get good value in the 3rd round. I like CEH a little more but would be happy with Akers. I'm high on AJ Dillion as a later round pick as he could be a steal.
  13. JK Dobbins. He'd pry be really good at quidditch. CeeDee Lamb - Bermanism : in like a Lion out like a CD Lamb.
  14. Since it's a timed test you at least have to be cognizant of spending too much time on one question. That's pry the biggest thing.
  15. They were drafted well before 2000.
  16. How many potential first round quarterbacks scored below that? Vince Young and Lamar Jackson are the only two that come to mind.
  17. I'd question a guy's character and maturity knowing a positive test could cost you millions.
  18. I agree with this. As long as you have the mental ability to memorize a playbook I wouldn't be too concerned at other positions.
  19. Lamar Jackson also scored a 13. It's possible this hurts Tua given interested teams can't interview him in person to test his football IQ because of the tomhanksvirus.
  20. You know he meant among those that tested positive for the tomhanksvirus. I don't think it's that complicated. You tell everyone with preexisting conditions and the elderly to stay home and everybody else can go back to work using proper social distancing measures. Make sure you don't visit those that are vulnerable. The hospitals won't be overrun and you'll eventually develop herd immunity. The people I feel bad for are younger people with preexisting conditions that will have to go back to work to make ends meet and keep their health insurance.
  21. Because he says stupid crap on a regular basis that is purposefully misrepresented by the media. I wish they didn't even cover his stupid rallies. I wish he'd get the heck off twitter and read the damn cue cards because the juvenile back and forth between him, the media, and the dems is not useful during this crises.
  22. Blame @frostbitmic for taking Delpit in front of me.
  23. With the 36th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Football Giants select Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson Giants need more weapons for Daniel Jones. Passing on two familial Bills connections (Diggs and Winfield Jr.) was tough but I love Higgins at this spot. @TPS and the Chargers are on the clock
