  1. With the 1st pick the Bengals will ruin the career of ..........
  2. Goodell changed clothes quickly and ditched his dog.
  3. Two reasons. They didn't have the cap space to meet his contract demands and the Bears made them an offer that was too good to refuse. Two 1sts, a 3rd, and a 6th. The Raiders pry got the better end of that trade in hindsight.
  4. I'm guessing based off the limited studies that.... 1.) A lot of people have/had it without symptoms making the death rate anywhere from .1 to .8%. 2.) It's extremely contagious which explains the remarkable number of deaths in a short period of time. 3.) Herd immunity will happen before any type of vaccine is mass produced.
  5. It's a game that the press and Trump love to play. It can be funny when they're talking about trivial things like inauguration crowd size. It's really irritating during more serious times such as this pandemic. I feel like we're getting mixed messages every day.
  6. Chargers move up for Tua in trade with Lions (or Giants). Herbert drops all the way down to #18 and Miami takes him there.
  7. I was thinking more about a second wave if we open up too quickly like what may have happened in Hong Kong, Hokkaido, and Singapore. I'm hopeful the drug remdesivir will continue to show positive results to possibly limit the impact of a 2nd wave in the fall.
  8. The beefed up unemployment benefits, the massive government business bailout package, and the economy being on solid footing before the pandemic could lead to a quicker than expected economic recovery. We won't be as strong as before but I'm not buying the doomsday predictions at this point. If there's a second wave then we're in trouble.
  9. It will be interesting to see how many people avoid those places anyways even after the lockdown is lifted. At least it's warm in Georgia so we can test the warm weather slows the spread hypothesis.
  10. I liked Homeland but stopped watching as it became too outlandish in season 6. I think I'll give season 7 and 8 a whirl now since I've heard from a few people it's gotten pretty good again. Everything they set up in the finale leading up to next season suggests they'll meet again as Saul/Kim assume Lalo's assassination went as planned. They just murdered his family so he'll be out for blood. Should be fun.
  11. Fantastic season. What's interesting about BCS compared to BB is there's more dark humor in BB when you'd expect the opposite. Obenkirk, Seehorn, and Dalton all deserve award recognition as they were fantastic especially in the last four episodes. I feel like this is the best show on tv that hardly anybody's talking about. Damn Tiger King.
  12. I'd pry enjoy it for a few days before worrying about who we should resign and seeing who could slip to #32 in the draft. I've always wondered if Red Sox or Cubs fans feel like a part of their identity was stolen when they won the World Series after all those years.
  13. Article I found interesting that may be an unintended consequence of "unemployment on steroids." Restaurants’ bailout problem: Unemployment pays more Restaurants represent less than 9 percent of Paycheck Protection loan recipients, but as of March accounted for the majority of layoffs nationwide. “If the intention was to get people back to work, they’re not doing it,” said Tom Colicchio, the renowned restaurateur and “Top Chef” judge, who has been an advocate for small restaurants during the pandemic. “They’re not going to come back to work because unemployment is too attractive.” Unemployment benefits vary by state, but in 2019, before the coronavirus crisis, the average weekly benefit nationwide was $370. A $600 sweetener that the stimulus bill added, on a temporary basis, to weekly unemployment checks raises the average weekly benefit to $970, an amount that approximates average weekly pay nationwide and is nearly double average weekly pay within the food industry: about $500 nationwide for full-time workers.
  14. New single day high in deaths although it may be lagged reporting from weekend. I'm hoping this is the plateau.
  15. With the 110th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft the New York Giants select Anfernee Jennings, Edge, Alabama Three year starter that has a lot of power and tenacity to get to the quarterback. @Might Rather and the Texans are on the clock
  16. The only value pick I see there is QB at o/u 4 taken in first round. I'd go the under as I don't see five QB's going. At worst you get a push.
  17. My mistake.... With the 99th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select Saahdiq Charles, OT, LSU Because he's awesome The Patriots @section122 are on the clock.
