  1. Hold on. Let me see Folk nail two 53 yarders against us. Yup. Kicker's important.
  2. He pry gives you the best value. I could see him putting up the numbers Kareem Hunt did as a rookie in that offense (1,327 rushing yards, 488 receiving yards). The award usually goes to QB's or RB's.
  3. I would idiot proof it for him and just have him ask likely questions without allowing reporters in. Since it's a Black Swan event I'm glad at least one country took a different approach so we can better prepare for the next one. It definitely wouldn't have been the right approach for NYC but pry a good idea for the more suburban/rural areas of the country that haven't been hit as hard.
  4. Realist. He sees it's hurting him more than helping him. I'd honestly just have the doctors talk and maybe just have Pence there since he is head of the task force.
  5. So, the theory is that even though they have double the deaths per capita from other similar countries that herd immunity will cause less deaths in the long run. It's an interesting way of implementing things and I guess the long term numbers will speak for themselves but they're basing that off an assumption. That's quite the gamble and it will be interesting to see how much it actually helps their economy in the long run.
  6. Out of curiosity, how does Sweden's death rate per capita from Covid-19 compare to other Nordic countries?
  7. I think both their legacies are already cemented but Belichick has more to lose legacy wise than Brady. Brady has a valid excuse if he fails. He'll be 43 fricken years old and his arm could fall off like Peyton's did his final season. Belichick can't use the age excuse. That 11-5 season you mentioned was with a team which remained largely intact went 16-0 the year before. You could make the argument without Brady they saw a five win drop off. His overall record as a head coach without Brady starting is 54-63. He'll still be remembered as the greatest coach ever but if he can't succeed without Brady the gap between him and 2nd best won't be as wide.
  8. I'm more cynical when it comes to politics way before any of this happened. It's been the norm well before Trump took office. I watched a party try to use the birther movement and their network to delegitimize a duly elected president under the guise of protecting the constitution's integrity. I watched the excess of the Benghazi trials where McCarthy let the rabbit out of the bag that it was really about hurting Hillary politically knowing she'd pry be the 2016 nominee. I watched the absurdness of what was supposed to be an investigation into an Arkansas land deal turn into a sex scandal that led to impeachment. I watched a Republican primary where the "bring decency back to the white house" president stirred up a rumor that McCain had an illegitimate black child. It's always been a blood sport where no accusation is beyond the pale and it turns people off to politics.
  9. I know but I like their coaching staff, their upgrades on the o-line, and it's a better offensive system that's more dedicated to the run (Chubb and Hunt) which should open up large plays down the field to OBJ and Landry. Their defense is above average. Signing Keenum as a backup QB was also a smart move. It's hard to argue that personnel wise they aren't as good as us.
  10. They went 14-2 last year and kept their team largely intact. Plus they added Campbell and had a very good draft. Even though they laid an egg last year in the playoffs, I don't see them regressing from last year.
  11. He went 1 for 5 last year from 50 plus and will be 35 to start next season (only in sports is that considered old). It should be an interesting competition.
  12. I'm more of a tier guy. I think the Browns are going to be better than people think. Tier 1 - Chiefs, Ravens Tier 2 - Bills, Colts, Steelers, Browns, Titans Tier 3 - Texans, Broncos, Patriots, Raiders, Jets, Chargers Tier 4 - Dolphins, Bengals, Jaguars
  13. I'd watch that Hard Knocks seeing Belichick criticize Rodgers at a film session in front of the whole team. They wouldn't last a week together.
  14. Fair enough. I think most honest people would admit that the Trump Russia thing just didn't add up. My main reasoning was the Trump campaign was way too dysfunctional and disorganized to pull any kind of collusion off. The Trump/Ukraine situation was inappropriate but not impeachable based on the evidence presented. I get bored with this forum unless something significant happens as it's basically right wing talking points by numerous posters (with some exceptions) combined with a few left wing trolls. This thread being a good example and the post about "group think" only being applied to the left gave me a chuckle.
  15. Just wanted to put this tweet out there to give you an idea of how much the testing capacity has improved in a week. Sadly, the deaths are still pretty high.
  16. Does the right constantly using this phrase count as group think? At least it's not "This is how you got Trump." What's interesting is when Trump does say something stupid the jerk reaction for posters on here is to seek out the media's overreaction to it instead of just saying, "Yeah. That was a really dumb thing to say."
  17. Tyler Biadasz too dropping all the way to the 4th and Grant Calcaterra actually quit football.
  18. Just for fun. Here's there way too early 2020 mock draft following last year's draft. We got two first rounders this year. LOL. 1.MIAMI DOLPHINS Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State With quarterback Josh Rosen now on the roster I don't see the Dolphins needing a quarterback at No. 1. Instead I think they'll benefit just as much by picking an absolute freak of an edge rusher in Chase Young. 6-foot-5, 265 pounds, wears No. 2, has dreadlocks. What more could you want? Young and Bosa were unblockable on the same defensive line when both were on the field in 2018. Young recorded 14.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks last season. 2.ARIZONA CARDINALS Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama The Cardinals not only added their franchise quarterback in Kyler Murray this past draft weekend, but they also gave him some weapons in the 2019 draft with Andy Isabella and Hakeem Butler at the receiver position. But the additions shouldn't stop there. Jeudy has been one of the best receivers in college football for two years and will continue to be as long as he's healthy. You won't find a better route runner. "You mean "a better route runner in *college football*", right?" No, I don't. 3.OAKLAND RAIDERS Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama Derek Carr's lone good year is proving itself too be an outlier the more time seems to go on. If that continues, they'll be in the market for a quarterback. Tua will likely be the highest profile QB to go in the Top 5. 4.CINCINNATI BENGALS Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon I thought the Bengals would end up with Drew Lock or Dwayne Haskins when all was said and done in the 2019 NFL Draft, but that didn't happen. Next year the quarterback question will be even more bold for the Bengals, and they'll need to be more urgent in selecting one. Herbert will compete for the QB1 title in the 2020 class, as he was highly regarded going into last season, too. 5.BUFFALO BILLS Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado "What's this guy's name? Lavis--Laviska?" You're damn right it is, and you better get to knowing it. The name of the game in Buffalo is weapons for quarterback Josh Allen, and it doesn't get much better than Laviska Shenault. Over 1,000 yards and 11 total touchdowns in just nine games in 2018. 2019 could even better, and if it is, he'll be a big name in a star-studded wide receiver group. 6.NEW YORK JETS CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma Lamb was a big-time playmaker for Kyler Murray during the quarterback's Heisman campaign in 2018, and Lamb did that in all kinds of ways. He wins with size, strength and speed -- a true WR1 at the next level. 7.DETROIT LIONS Raekwon Davis, DT, Alabama 8.WASHINGTON REDSKINS Trey Smith, OL, Tennessee 9.DENVER BRONCOS Grant Delpit, S, LSU 10.TENNESSEE TITANS Grant Calcaterra, TE, Oklahoma 11.TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS A.J. Epenesa, EDGE, Iowa Jason Pierre-Paul ain't gettin' any younger. Epenesa is a 6-foot-5, 270-pound freak of an edge defender who had 10.5 sacks last season as a sophomore. 12.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia 13.CAROLINA PANTHERS Walker Little, OT, Stanford 14.NEW YORK GIANTS Andrew Thomas, OL, Georgia 15.JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia The Jaguars didn't draft a quarterback early in the 2019 NFL Draft, holding firm to what they said when the signed Nick Foles. But I think even they know Foles isn't the long-term answer. Fromm isn't a guy who I want to start right away in the NFL, but I think this would be a good situational fit for both the Jaguars and Fromm to get the most of a mid-round quarterback selection in round one. 16.HOUSTON TEXANS D'Andre Swift, RB, Georgia 17.CLEVELAND BROWNS Tyler Biadasz, OL, Wisconsin 18.ATLANTA FALCONS Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn 19.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama 20.INDIANAPOLIS COLTS Trey Adams, OT, Washington 21.BALTIMORE RAVENS Tylan Wallace, WR, Oklahoma State 22.DALLAS COWBOYS Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU 23.PHILADELPHIA EAGLES Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE, Penn State 24.GREEN BAY PACKERS Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU 25.MINNESOTA VIKINGS Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama 26.PITTSBURGH STEELERS Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama 27.OAKLAND RAIDERS (VIA CHI) Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri 28.LOS ANGELES CHARGERS Tommy Kraemer, OL, Notre Dame 29.NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson 30.NEW ORLEANS SAINTS Lorenzo Neal, DT, Purdue 31.KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson 32.LOS ANGELES RAMS Isaiah Simmons, S, Clemson
  19. Bills drafted Reich two years after drafting Kelly. The stars are aligning.
  20. 167. Bills: QB Jake Fromm, Georgia Grade: B+. With Matt Barkley in the final year of his contract, Bills were quietly in the backup QB market. Like Barkley, Fromm wins with anticipation but has weak arm. Good pocket presence and plenty of big-game experience.
  21. Maybe it's a sign we're building a dome. That's how I read the pick.
