Plus, Steelers will have option of whether to rest their starters against Bengals or go for the five seed. Thanks Goodell.

Pry the best rookie season by a QB selected #2 in the draft since CJ Stroud and RG3.

I want a tie.

That miss to London just cost me $700.

Just combine Jim Carrey's QB STEW for stats. Then compare the candidates record and the quality of help around him. If you did that it's pretty easy to conclude that Allen is the MVP.

You're correct in being not correct.

12/29/24 GAMEDAY Week 17 Bills vs Jets Post Game Thread

It's not good in Jets land. They want to start a petition to start Tyrod next week to deny Rodgers his 500th TD pass. -
Go Fish. Be our fail safe option if the Broncos lose to the Chiefs backups.
-
Possibly. I think the Diggs route against Lattimore against the Saints was the best play a WR ever made for a Josh Allen TD pass. Cooper is right up there though in terms of just catching it.

Bengals, Dolphins, Broncos -Who do you want to see as the 7th seed?

Nightmare scenario with Bengals man. -
Thanks Colts.

All good points but I guess it's my own personal bias I guess as I had Brian Thomas Jr. in that tier with Odunze, Nabers, and Harrison Jr. tier. He was the only one I thought we could realistically get without majorly sacrificing future draft assets.

Beane's failure in the draft was not trading up for Brian Thomas Jr. despite all the draft capital he had in the 2024 and 2025 draft. They missed on him and it's going to be painful knowing that during his entire career. I'm hoping Coleman develops into a solid outside #2 WR but Beane missed on a potential outside #1 WR when it was within his reach. BTW, McConkey's just a very good slot guy and we would've had the same problem with our outside WR's not creating enough separation if we drafted him.

Raheem Blacksheer to start at RB for Panthers

And they say Bryce Young doesn’t have any help. -
We could do a 2020 playoff repeat with Indy, Baltimore, and @KC. Just pretend Flacco is Rivers and it would be the exact same qb’s too.

Saturday Games - who are we rooting for? Belinda

If the Ravens lose next Sunday and the Steelers win I'm pretty sure they're locked into the 3 seed. Would you rather go @Texans, @Bills (probably), and @Chiefs (probably) or host the Chargers, @Bills, @Chiefs? -
Allen playing with broken hand all along???
Doc Brown replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
If players on the other team know an area of your body is vulnerable they'll attack it. Josh is a smart kid and knew that would be the case if he said his hand was broken. The sad part is I actually believed him when he said he continued to wear the glove because he was superstitious. -
No retired player on the reserve/retired list can come back after week 12 because they were still under contract when they retired. For instance, if the Rams wanted Donald back right now they would have to cut him because he's on the reserve/retired list and hope he clears waivers. Bridgewater wasn't under contract with a team when he retired.

Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)
Doc Brown replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's not drastically outperforming Josh's rookie year. Josh had a better QBR (49.8 to 45.9) which isn't a perfect statistical indicator with how well a QB is playing but better than passer rating. Allen threw more interceptions but took way less sacks (2.33 a game vs. 4.18 a game) with probably a worse offensive line (Dawkins, Ducasse, Bodine, Miller, Mimms - yuck). Williams seems to hold the ball forever and will shy away from harder throws not wanting to risk an interception. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Caleb's offensive passing weapons were pry better (Moore, Allen, Odunze, Kmet) compared to Josh's stellar cast of Benjamin, Foster, Z. Jones, Clay. The problem with Caleb was he didn't meet the unusually high expectations put on a rookie QB. Maybe something a 23 year old wasn't ready to handle. He was the rare number one pick considered to be a generational talent that many picked to go to the playoffs because of all the offensive fire power they had. Usually the roster is awful for the first pick in the draft. I guess Luck would be the best comparison weapons wise of someone thrown into a similar spot. He had a much better rookie year and made the playoffs though. I put a lot of the problems on coaching but Williams has to share at least some of the blame. I do think Williams will be much better next year with a better o-line and coaching. If not, then I'm panicking as a Bears fan. I think if I had to do a redraft though I'd go Daniels, Maye, and Williams in that order. -
He wants to keep his job. Yup. Not a great leader imo though.

Freezing rain game against Giants in '07 was the coldest I've ever been and there isn't another one particularly close. I remember taking my wet clothes off and driving home in just my boxers hoping a cop wouldn't pull us over. Lol. The only other one that stood out was that playoff game against the Raiders in the last Super Bowl run. Brutally cold but the alcohol consumed before hand helped.

Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)

Right there with you. You'll always be able to say I was at the most boring game in NFL history at least. Better than some random 17-7 game or something like that. -
Make it a 20 game season with one game per week per team scattered throughout the weekend, contract teams to 28 (get rid of that Canadian team and the Wizards), hard salary cap, keep two conferences but no divisions, six teams with best record in each conference make playoffs, top two teams get a bye, best of three series, and Finals series is a best of five at a neutral location. You'll make up the revenue lost from the number of games with the TV contracts. Your welcome.
