The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Doc Brown replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ohio's governor (Dewine) should get the most credit out of anybody. They did the best out of any Midwest or northeastern state considering their demographics when this thing first hit. Stay at home orders in early March (faster than any other state and ahead of the federal recommendations). They locked down nursing homes and allowed early release for some prisoners. They also weren't in a hurry to open either so they avoided the spikes you're seeing in other states. If he was a Democrat they'd be recommending him as Biden's replacement. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Agreed. Why isn't Newsome getting grilled despite a similar case rate and death rate to Florida and Texas? NYC obviously was the perfect breeding ground for the virus in March and April but Cuomo's decision to keep the subway system open and the confusing nursing home policy should be scrutinized. -
Hmmm....interesting. I still can't get it out of my head you never heard of Rooties. Were you born with a taste disorder or experience recurrent upper respiratory infections or middle ear infections?

Did you live there for like a week?

That's because the blue cheese you get at most Buffalo pizza places is a lot better than blue cheese salad dressing bottles you buy at the grocery store for whatever reason. The blue cheese tastes better in gallon containers maybe or home made. I'm not sure Rootie's blue cheese is available across the country.

That's what my family told me when I threw the remote against the wall after the fascist refs upheld the call on the field.

Shouldn't the bigger news be he thinks people who exercise their first amendment right of burning the flag should be in jail for a year? Seems somewhat authoritarian and anti first amendment to me. Something Republicans usually push back on. -
Trump's Tulsa Rally: America Strikes Back

He's mastered it though and taken it to another level. I've never heard a president in my lifetime call private citizens sob's and call the other side of the aisle enemies of the state. That divisive tone plays great with his base but I question if it turns off enough white suburban women that voted for him in '16 (which will probably determine the election). -

Glad you had a good time. It's been a longer than usual winter and nothing beats the start of summer like watching a good Trump rally on cable television. -

Stuff like this pops up every now and then (food names/logos, street signs, statues, etc.) They rename it and then we forget all about it. I could care less what maple syrup is called. -

It would pry take a food shortage but instead of North vs. South it will be urban vs. rural. I have no idea how that would play out. Does that include the peaceful protesters there Donald? Darwinism will take care of the at risk idiots who marched and the idiots who are attending this rally. The virus doesn't care whether you wear a blue or red hat. -

Drug it. A dose of trazodone knocks my dog out for four to ten hours. I've tried everything else over the years and that still seems the only thing to works. -

It's interesting Georgia hasn't seen an increase in cases given their governor was heavily criticized for opening too early. It seems the states that weren't as heavily impacted at first by Covid are seeing a rise in cases and those that did are seeing a decline. I wonder if air conditioning impacts the number of cases at all.
