  1. Unfortunately the two veer into each other's lane once in a while making it impossible to separate the two. With Covid and the BLM movement it's been like this lately.....
  2. I don't disagree with you. Our soldiers have done tours in Iraq or Afghanistan where they don't see their families for 15 months. It just seems like that option's off the table though for whatever reason.
  3. I'm not downplaying the concern and they're going to have to make a personal decision on whether it's worth the risk to them. Same goes for the players. I don't blame the players for wanting more clarity about what are YOU going to do to create the safest environment possible. Businesses across the country have the same job of making their employees feel safe to come back to work. From an economic standpoint most of these players have a few years to make as much money as possible. I think NFL players should have a $150k opt out option if they don't feel comfortable like the player's union proposed.
  4. I'm not betting on somebody possibly dying during a pandemic (I'm just not that type of person)....unless I'm getting at least 3 to 1 odds minimum.
  5. There's some obese lineman that have high blood pressure. Don't be so sure.
  6. I was promised Easter. If baseball teams are playing right now there's no reason the NFL won't start on time.
  7. B on federal response as far as travel bans, providing ppe equipment, etc... A on keeping economy as afloat as possible. F on messaging. It's been awful.
  8. How is that an astounding number? Government employees aren't going to give to candidates who run on slashing government in favor of privatization. Just look at this chart from 2016 of federal workers who gave to Hillary.
  9. Times are tough. Make Trudeau pay for the bulbs.
  10. They're apparently worried about the lighting at Pilot Field.
  11. Moulds and Evans on the outside. Stevie in the slot. Spiller as the all purpose back. Fitzpatrick as the gunslinger. I want Gailey as the coordinator. I want a united locker room. Explain Diggs then.
  12. Died tonight at 80 years old from pancreatic cancer. Here's a speech of his from '63. Mods, feel free to move this to PPP if necessary.
  13. They cited state data. That's actually good news for herd immunity purposes that a third of kids tested positive and only 4 of 16,797 children died from it (.02% death rate - lower than the flu).
  14. No doubt. I changed my mind on his contract after I saw how it was structured as they can get out of the deal after two years with just nine million of dead space spread out over two years. He's a great back as long as their defense is solid. His only limitation is his ineffectiveness as a pass catcher which makes him basically useless when they need to overcome a double digit deficit in the 2nd half. You saw that against the Chiefs where he had only seven rushing yards in the 2nd half (two catches for negative eight yards in the game).
  15. I'm hoping we can get a similar bounce back year from Norman in McD's scheme.
  16. I thought Sherman should've received more consideration for comeback player of the year coming off a torn Achilles at 32 as it looked like he was slowly declining like Revis did. Everyone's favorite PFF had him rated the #1 CB in coverage. His annoying personality can overshadow his on the field performance though.
  17. Good point. If the NFL investigation finds no wrong doing on Snyder's part like the NBA did with Cuban then I see no reason he should be forced to sell the team. Cuban publicly apologized of not "seeing it" in front of the cameras and maybe the NFL should force Snyder should do the same. Not just a written statement.
  18. What's the positive test rate in NY as they may have increased testing. At it's apex it was about 10k cases per day.
  19. I'd wait if I was Beane until he has a better idea of what the salary cap will look next year because of the uncertainty of the tomhanksvirus.
  20. LOL. They have way more than a 1 in a 1000 chance of getting the virus. The death rate may be that low and studies have shown kids have a 1/2 to 2/3 less chance of catching it than adults. I don't know where you get your information from.
