Sanders, Gabriel, Watson, and Flacco is an interesting QB room. -

Mel Kiper knows more than every GM in the league combined apparently. -
If there's one thing I learned from last year is fans value WR's more than this regime does.
-
I'm not sure Kiper's making it until tomorrow.

Injuries might make it less interesting. -

Me too. I think Beane's been superb on day 3 (average on days 1 and 2) that you're happy if you can find a reliable depth player in round 4. They all aren't going to be Benford, T. Johnson, Shakir, Milano (pre Beane), and Gabe Davis. -

I've never had a draft where my preferred order and position were met with the first four picks. CB, DT, DE, and DT. Having said that, we all know we're seeing Jordan Philips again in January. Who the hell is Google? -

Shedur Sanders Make To Round 5? (Poll) - UPDATED x 3

To me it's really simple. No QB needy team thought he could be their franchise QB and therefore nobody wants him as a developmental prospect/backup because of who his father is. I feel bad for the kid. -

Eagles if I had to put money on it. I'm not putting money on it though. That team seems to thrive on chaos and they just won the Super Bowl. Pickett got traded. Backing up a Super Bowl winning QB is nothing to sneeze at and the Eagles could flip it for a 2nd or 3rd in a couple of years with having a high quality backup. -

Ironically, this story line pry helps the NFL. Any publicity is good publicity. -
What fun is that?
-
Maybe but he was at least a 2nd round prospect. He just comes with too much baggage to be a backup. It's a fascinating story.
-
I'm trying to think of a fall by a player this far. I can't come up with one.
-
Good call. He was a 2nd rounder on most mocks I saw.
-
CB, DT, DE. Who would've thought. LOL.
-
Darn. We were going to take Isaac Teslaa?

That's different than saying that Edwards is immediately our best IDL. -

One tech is the really fat guy. Three tech is the fat guy. -
Our president just tweeted that the NFL should draft Sanders. Lol.

Thanks Beane for having to explain to my wife the difference between a 1 and 3 tech DT. -

No because you edited your post and added the study. The difference between 1 (92% for center) and 12 (27% for WR) is statistically significant. All the PFF data showed me is that teams will take more swings on premium positions in the 1st round leading to a higher bust rate than the rare non premium positions where only the best of the best are drafted in the first round. Plus, even after saying that over 50% of CB's in the PFF article panned out as Day 1 hits. You kind of lost me when you said that you could find quality starters in the later rounds and used Dane Jackson as an example of this as he was almost dead last in PFF grading last year to the point they just benched him after week 11. What's the hit rate on CB's from round 2 to 7 since they are so easy to find?
