There's no way that's right. Since the schedule's not predetermined I'll bet you a million dollars we play at Kansas City in the regular season in 2023 for the third straight year. I just have a gut feeling on that one.

Look. It seems like a solid source. I'm just going to point out that Thanksgiving week will be week 12 though.

Last year we faced Mike White, Davis Mills, Trevor Siemean, Jacoby Brissett, Cam Newton, Taylor Heinicke, a decrepit Ben Roethlisberger, and three first round rookies on lousy teams (Lawrence , Mac, and Wilson). There's no way we get that easy of a slate of opposing QB's again.

We face better offenses this year so we're going to have to keep pace. The weather has to be better than last year. Right? I think we average around 31.

Of the serious SB Contenders who had the best draft?
Doc Brown replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
They've had that the last four seasons and have one playoff victory against a similarly built team (Titans). The lack of a vertical passing game will always be a problem for them until they seriously address it through a change in scheme and an upgrade at WR. I feel like they continue to spin their wheels. -

Good point. They also took Darren Waller in 2015. I was just surprised most of the national media are fawning over their draft yet they failed to address their most pressing need after losing Hollywood Brown. -

They did nothing to address WR though after trading Brown away. They got great value picks throughout but Bateman is now their #1 WR. They seem content on running the ball and relying on a strong defense. Just a strange way to build a roster in today's pass happy NFL. -
It's a combination of a weak QB class and so many teams taking QB's in the first the last couple of drafts (nine total first rounders). If anything the fifth year option and the rookie wage scale and the fifth year option makes it more likely teams will draft a QB in the first. You don't have to make a Jamarcus Russell one of the highest paid QB in the NFL before he even takes a snap anymore. Average QB's taken in first round from 2000-2010 - pre rookie wage scale: 2.54 Average QB's taken in first round from 2011-2021 - post rookie wage scale: 3.27

It's not the only need but it's the only positional player we can draft at this point that would help this team this year. -
Rd 5, Pick 148 (5): WR Khalil Shakir, Boise St
Doc Brown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's just pretend Beane drafted Shakir in the 3rd and Bernard in the 5th to make everyone happier. -
Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia

Something tells me you don't know the limitations of the BMI index. What's his body fat percentage? For example, Isaiah McKenzie has a 26.3 BMI and is considered overweight. His brother Dalvin's BMI is 30.1 and he's considered obese by that metric. -
Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor

Same thing with Trayvon Walker as he seemed to have better size and speed than Bernard but in Beane we trust. -

Does that include pass catching TE's and RB's? -

Shoot that combination into my veins. Love Pierce and Cook gives you that pass catching RB they covet.

They could've and I think that's the pick if they're looking to move on from Edmunds after this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they extend him this summer.

He may have some medical condition as he said he didn't get the Covid vaccine due to "my own personal medical history."
-
I can't see the Bills taking him with his arm length in this system. Teams like the Chiefs weren't blind to the fact we were highly likely to draft a CB though which is pry why Beane felt moving up was necessary for Elam.
-
I also wonder if they have it in mind to possibly move Tre White to safety eventually if Elam turns into an elite CB. We'll see how he comes back from the ACL tear.
-
Taron was a 4th. I agree with everything else here though.
-
I'm not too worried about it but the only two 4th picks Beane has made was Taron Johnson and Gabe Davis to make everyone feel better.
