  1. Pegula did the same thing with Ruff.
  2. I'm surprised how many Jets fans are for this move. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
  3. MNF in a playoff game is a bigger deal imo.
  4. It would be funny if the Bills ultimate chess move was to have Samuel play subpar on purpose in the regular season and then unleash him in the playoffs with a wide variety of ways to get him the ball in space.
  5. Zach Taylor had Bills Lions game tape on one screen and the Broncos game on the other. Being a head coach in the NFL is a tough gig.
  6. They must've fired the Smurf uniform picker last offseason. I'd be fine if they wore these for every home game the rest of my life. It's by far the best look.
  7. Football is a small sample sport so it's difficult to fire a head coach who's team consistently wins the division. At what point though do we get a big enough sample size that McDermott isn't a great playoff coach? Add to that the anxiety of not winning a Super Bowl while the best QB this franchise has ever had in his prime and you could justify firing him if he doesn't win the whole thing within the next few years.
  8. I still want a DNA test on Mike McDaniel.
  9. Doesn't seem to have moved the betting line yet.
  10. I think they'll keep the current format until TV ratings fall. If you get to eight teams the importance of the regular season diminishes. I think seven is the sweet spot for playoff teams.
  11. Wouldn't even be the best coach in his division.
  12. The best candidate by a country mile imo. Titans can't let him leave the building.
  13. No. It's still the Bengals. Broncos are 1-6 against teams with winning records. Only beating the Bucs and I discounted the KC backup game. They're a very good defense (big test for our o-line) but have struggled against elite offenses which I'd like to think we are. They're not great at running the ball or attacking the middle of the field which helps us. Bo Nix is better than your typical rookie and he will hurt you with his legs but it's still his first playoff game in a hostile environment. Two weeks ago I said my preferred WC teams in order were Colts, Fish, Broncos.....................................and way down the list............Bengals. I think the Broncos have enough to beat us but it will only be because we had a bad day.
  14. Analytics were never meant to be the end all or be all. It's just a tool you use along with human judgement and experience. If you're a terrible 4th and short team you'd take the field goal even if the analytics say go for the first down. The stats about WR separation are what they are regardless of who his pass catchers are. He has more wide open throws so his stats will be inflated compared to the average QB. It's a combination of scheme, teams loading up the box more often to stop Henry and Lamar in the running game, a good pass protecting o-line, and Lamar extending plays with his legs.
  15. It definitely is but Lamar got 45 out of 50 1st team all pro votes and 49 out of 50 MVP voters last year. That's at least four voters who though all pro and MVP were different criteria. So, if Lamar gets say 28 first team all pro votes Allen could still win MVP.
  16. I get your overall point but what does the pandemic have to do with it?
  17. Interesting chart based on betting odds. Allen not winning would be the exception to the rule
  18. Seems kind of cruel to wait until Tuesday but that's the Raiders for you.
  19. Lamar seems like good value at +180 to +350 depending on the sports book. In my experience, that's a suckers bet. The sharps are on Allen based on the criteria with how MVP voters have voted in the past.
  20. Gave up a 3rd round pick to get him too. Also, gave up a third round pick to pay for Sneed from the Chiefs. That's now the first pick in the 3rd round. Dear GM's, stop doing business with the Chiefs. Overpaying for Ridley, Landry III, and Awuzie didn't help either. He deserved to get the can.
  21. Yup. That's it. Sometimes new head coaches will get the current GM fired though during the off-season (if they're smart). The obvious example is McDermott and Whaley not seeing eye to eye before he was fired and then hiring Beane.
  22. Quietest walk to the car ever. I still have Natron Means nightmares. We had some crazy home playoff winning streak too. Kelly carted off the field. Bad day. On the bright side, Mark Brunell was much more experienced than Bo Nix.
  23. No clue but half of the weekly Bills party we have was spent trying to explain to the casuals why both teams wanted to lose. We do jello shots every time the Bills score usually but on Sunday even we just did it every time either team scored.
  24. I didn't want to even bring that up but since you did that was my immediate thought listening to McDermott. I don't know if it was a physical or mental health thing with him or someone close to him. A football game with a bunch of kids (in a lot of our eyes) isn't that important. Plus, you can get great value on the Denver point spread right now.
