Falcons trading Julio Jones to Titans
Doc Brown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They could easily restructure Tannehill's contract to give them 20 million in cap space this year. Tannehill said the other day they haven't asked him to but I have a feeling they might now. -

Glad the Pats didn't get him. Good year for us to get the AFC South considering we would've had to play them anyways. GET STEVEN NELSON!!! -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Doc Brown replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Stimulus checks aren't needed at this point and that discriminates against people who already did the right thing and got the vaccine. If there's ever one of these novel virus outbreaks again it would be foolish to get the vaccine right away (if you're lucky enough to be in a low risk demographic) until the best possible incentive is presented to you. That means waiting. I like Ohio's weekly one million dollar lottery system idea where all vaccinated adults were able to enter and they say a 28% increase of the vaccination rate of 16 and older. Make that program national. -
Jordan Poyer Interview - OTAs June 2, 2021
Doc Brown replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane also didn't help with his unprompted comment suggesting decisions may be made for the bubble players based on whether they're vaccinated or not. I don't like where this is going at all as trust issues between the players, coaches, and upper management could develop over this issue. Something that hasn't seemed to be a problem since McBeane got here. -

Just for reference....Maybin got 15 million guaranteed when the salary cap was set at about $60m less than it is now. I am NOT saying he's another Aaron Maybin but thank god for the rookie wage scale.

The foundation under Dr. Fauci is starting to crack...
Doc Brown replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You and I aren't that far off but I just need more evidence of him covering up for China if it was a lab leak. I think you're correct in that he wanted to get in the right eyes of the media. Trump suggested hydroxychloroquine and it could've been a lab leak. The media overreacted like always with everything Trump said instead of looking at it objectively. Fauci then constantly pushed for new and experimental drugs over established drugs that might help. He also dismissed the lab leak theory as conspiracy to appease the media. I fall into the category of I think Trump and Fauci did a terrible job in messaging but an okay job in managing the crises overall. -
DPOY - Tremaine Edmunds (?!?)
Doc Brown replied to TailgateChef's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Criminally undervalued? Come on. He's been average in the run game and poor in pass coverage. He should be better than last year but I don't ever expect him to fall into the elite tier of linebackers. -

You give him too much credit and you're going to need actual evidence to prove your theory. I agree with you about his quest for fame though. -

Did he have to give all those interviews where he just seemed to confuse people more? Did he have to do a magazine shoot in the middle of a pandemic? If he's just following the science why didn't he speak out louder against the lack of social distancing during the protests following the George Floyd death? -
What was the most impressive drive of the 2020 Season?
Doc Brown replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Colts playoff game before halftime with Davis dragging his toes twice on the sideline. A 96 yard drive after a defensive stand at the goal line that concluded with a Josh Allen (you can never do this if your life depended on it Phillip Rivers) rushing TD. I don't even think the celestial Patrick Mahomes could've pulled that off.- 55 replies

SHOCKER. These e-mails are being viewed through the prism of whatever preconceived biases you have. If you're on the left Fauci is a hero who simply adapted with the ever changing science and refused to be corrupted by Trump. If you're on the right he was a flip flopper who became the human symbol of what they viewed as over restrictive measures (masks, lockdowns, etc.) and was controlled by the WHO who got their orders from China. I liked him at first but then he started to give too many interviews with too many unnecessary predictions. Then he posed for a magazine (Newsweek?) maskless in the middle of a pandemic last summer. Fame had gotten to his head (he somehow had time to write a book) and he should've been replaced then. I trust highly regarded doctors more than politicians but he became a politician. -
When I log in from my phone there's a full page ad in order to get to the forums. Just on my phone though. I consider taking two seconds to hit the x button in the upper corner to get to the forums my personal Vietnam.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Doc Brown replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I can't find the article you two are bickering about as Woods either deleted the tweet or twitter did for him. -
It's a matter of opinion. It was the best of the original Star Trek movies but there were some significant plot holes and unnecessary story lines for me to rank it above those two. Plus, we all pretty much knew Spock was coming back for the sequels so the emotions of Spock's death felt contrived in retrospect with his space burial being on the planet "Genesis."

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Doc Brown replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They want a full house which means more money and the unvaccinated sections were getting in the way of that. It's the opposite of virtue signaling. -
I would add Terminator 2: Judgement Day and The Dark Knight to that list. Easily. I'd put them above Star Trek II at least.

What is the worst play in Bills history?
Doc Brown replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a good one as I completely forgot about that play pry because we were behind at the time and I was just so sickened we weren't dominating a terrible Raiders team with our playoff lives on the line. I think it was Andre Holmes who caught it. To me, it was the Bryce Brown fumble through the endzone that will always be buried in my mind as the play that altered the course of the Bills franchise. -

It is but my guess is China would just receive a slap on the wrist given how important they are to the world economy. -

Beane and McDermott may not be here if he doesn't.
