  1. True. He always seemed to make "the play" on defense in close games though. It's going to be interesting as the Chiefs will be feeling more pressure with this loss in a tough AFC.
  2. Tonight's loss gives him some leverage.
  3. I'm guessing Kelce and Jones are back by then so probably.
  4. Who'll pull it out? The refs or the Lions?
  5. Did or did not? I do know burnout among hospital personnel became a major problem leading to even more understaffing exasperating the problem.
  6. Finally an optimistic post from you. Just admit you think deep down we're going 20-0 this year.
  7. The Cardinals and Texans have the highest odds of finishing with the worst record. The Cardinals have both teams first round pick next year. They may get Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr.. That should be illegal. WTF were the Texans thinking in trading up for Will Anderson?
  8. They did in the last CBA. Each year the minimum salary has 45k added to it under the current CBA (raised to $750k this season from $705k last season). The last CBA only had a $15k yearly increase. The one before that had a $10k yearly increase. I would expect them to push for an even higher number in the next CBA. It's always tricky because the higher you push for an increase in minimum salary the more you're suppressing the salaries of the truly elite players.
  9. Unless you get a major unforeseen surge again which is highly doubtful. One thing the shutdowns did do is allow understaffed hospitals to pull additional nurses from doctor's offices and ambulatory centers to those hospitals with that initial surge.
  10. Gabe Davis. I think he catches a bomb or two with safeties that struggle in coverage.
  11. Well put. I know there's a lot of angst amongst Bills fans but I just suggest you enjoy the ride. Just think about where this team was at the end of 2016 and where we are now. -We're ticked off when anybody doesn't think our quarterback isn't top three in the league. -We have a QB and WR who are breaking individual team records every year. -This is the second consecutive opening game in a Prime Time slot where the whole world will be watching. When in our history has that ever happened? -The league is so into us that we only have 5 (maybe 6) 1:00pm Sunday games. -We're appalled with any national figure who thinks we won't either win the division or make the playoffs. -We cared about this team so much that 13 seconds felt like a cruel combination of Wide Right and MSM all over again (at least for me). -We have a GM that isn't dumb enough to draft a RB in the first round (trademark of the drought). -We have a new stadium being built so we don't have to live on the constant worry of relocation. And most important of all.............. -The Patriots went from terrifying to kind of cute with their whole 1970's roster build thing.
  12. Jets are expecting that so maybe push the ball downfield more than they're expecting. Here's what they definitely should do. If they give you light boxes prove you can run the ball. Motion Diggs all around the field to maybe confuse the defense enough for him to get some easy catches. Attack Quincy Williams with Knox and Kincaid as he struggles against covering tight ends. Don't be afraid to challenge Amos with some deep shots as he's a liability in coverage.
  13. Terrible comparison. Garrett started his first three years as head coach 8-8 with an already built roster with Romo as his quarterback. He had only three double digit winning seasons in 10 years as head coach with Romo/Prescott. McDermott has four in six years. Garrett made the playoffs five times in ten years with only two wins. McDermott made it in five of his first six years with four wins. Right now McDermott is closer to an early career Bill Cowher than a Jason Garrett. If you're going to slightly overpay offensive tackle isn't a bad place to do it being a premier position. Giving Zeke that deal is why they pry don't have at least a conference championship appearance the last few years (and the first time since the mid 90's).
  14. RIP. Hope he's enjoying his cheeseburgers in paradise.
  15. Always hated Rodgers's personality. Not one likable coach on that staff. An arrogance for a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 12 seasons and has finished at the bottom of the division the last three seasons (?). I hope we smoke them and Rodgers retires after the game.
  16. I see something like a 50 (Cook) /35 (Harris) /15 (Murray) split if all are healthy. Cook has never been the lead back going back to his point of conception. It's good that he has a ton of tread left on his tires but is worrisome in if he can handle a larger workload.
  17. There's really no in between with either. If they don't return to their previous form then both deals are all time disasters that will set the franchise back at least five years. If they do they'll at least be able to compete but I doubt they ever will be able to obtain enough talent around them to win a Super Bowl because of the compensation given up for them along with the massive salary cap space percentage tied up in them.
  18. 11-6 with a win @Miami to clinch the division the last game of the year. Not buying the Steelers until they fire Matt Canada. First losing season under Tomlin this year in that gauntlet of a division.
  19. Bussin' with the Boys podcast at the beginning of July he said he hasn't worked out at all the last two off-seasons from the end of the season to OTA's. He says its best for him because it gives him the mental and physical rest needed for the grind of the upcoming season. He thinks guys that work out all the time always seem to be the one's that get hurt. He wouldn't recommend it for everybody. The clip would've got much more attention if he wasn't already a proven elite quarterback.
  20. He should of blown harder for Norwood's kick to sway left. Come on man. We could've easily won a Super Bowl with Kelly and we can with Allen.
  21. I'm glad I made the switch to youtubetv. Right now I'm watching four college football games at once on a four way split screen and I didn't even have to choose each channel. It just took me to it. Plus, you get unlimited DVR which is nice. Cable companies (Spectrum in my case) just made it too easy for people to finally cut the cord.
  22. I'd switch the Jets and Fish. Similar quality of rosters but the coaching edge is with the Fish imo. I'd take McDaniels/Fangio over Saleh/Hackett. Also, MetLife stadium doesn't allow for one side to be 40 degrees hotter than the other side.
  23. Who had it last year when Edmunds was out?
  24. Was this written before or after the Buechele signing?
