The Toronto Blue Jays organization is absolute trash

A sanctimonious manager? -
I'd argue the rest of the game was his greatest performance as defensive coordinator. Effectively blitzing Mahomes which is a feat in itself. Playing a 3-2-6 dime package they rarely showed before confusing Mahomes and Reid. Playing different coverage concepts on both sides of the field on the same play. Where was this ingenuity when it mattered? I get not having Von hurt them in that regards against the Bengals but still....that game plan against them was just awful. Held the Jaguars to 10 points in 2017 season. Held the Ravens to 3 points in 2020. Held the Patriots to 17 points (seven of them in garbage time) in 2021. All elimination games. Average defensive performance against the Texans, Colts, and Fish. All elimination games. If your point was they were awful against elite offenses in the playoffs then I'd agree with that.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

I agree with this philosophy in the NFL over other sports because you have to at minimum beat three quality teams to win the Super Bowl and each game is a do or die. Even if you have a 65% chance of winning each game, the odds of that other 35% hitting one in three times is pretty high. That's assuming your season doesn't get derailed because of a rash of injuries or your starting quarterback suffering a freak injury. In a seven game series in other sports the better team usually prevails. Even when the Rams went "all in" it likely took a dropped 49ers interception (luck) for them to reach the Super Bowl and if they didn't win it they'd be a case study of why you don't mortgage the future for one season. -

You have to wonder if Beane's regretting signing Von now making it more unlikely he'll take a similar swing on a soon to be 31 year old WR. It has to be going through his mind and rightfully so. If Hopkins wants more than he's comfortable offering he shouldn't make the deal. -
The DVR on YouTube tv is as good as any cable/sattelite service with a box. You should have no problem synching it.

From who was available, what he had to work with cap wise, and how the draft board fell it's a start. We have more high end starter talent and depth in the interior of the line. Not doing the same for the tackle position is fair criticism. The deeper issue is a failure of Beane since he got here is not spending enough draft capital on the o-line and striking out when he did (Ford and probably Spencer Brown). Also, when he did finally hit on a late round o-lineman he gave up on him too soon.

Pegula should fire Beane on the spot if he ever gave a RB a lucrative second contract. It's the one position where you just draft them on day two or three, let them play out their rookie deal, and then pray you get a comp pick for them. -

He'll always be viewed as more of a Kevin Durant to the Warriors if that happens. Coming here he could be looked at as the guy who finally pushed the Bills over the top to win their first Super Bowl. That would be my sales pitch at least. -
Diggs knows he only has a few more seasons left at an elite level. He wants a Super Bowl and has come up short three straight years in the playoffs. He should do everything in his power to try and get the best out of Allen and the team around him. I'm not sure if not being at OTA's, posting cryptic tweets, and not doing anything to "quell" the fears of some fans/teammates (maybe) he's not all in for next season is his way of saying that.....but I got nothing else.

We play the Giants though. Go to a team like the Saints or Panthers would be good with me. -

I don’t want him but I don’t want another AFC team to sign him. Just retire. -
Ross Tucker ranks NFL Coach’s, places McDermott at #22.
Doc Brown replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh please. Dorsey was being groomed to replace Daboll since he became QB's coach in 2019. He had ties back to the Panthers with McBeane since 2013. Their were teams after Dorsey for the OC position in 2021 but Dorsey received a promotion in title because the Bills brass knew they wouldn't have Daboll much longer. It wasn't Josh stumping for him that got him the job. In terms of his performance. The cold hard stats say that we finished second in points and yards per game and yards per game (better than the 2021 offense under Daboll). That was despite losing Beasley and Sanders who were better in their roles in 2021 than McKenzie and Davis were in 2022. Not bad for a first time coordinator despite the bad game in the divisional round of the playoffs. Let's see what Dorsey can do in his second year with an upgraded o-line and a better TE2 before we cry about his hiring. -
He has the potential to be. Definitely. He has more accomplishments than Obama did as a candidate. Mostly the results of governors having more power and responsibilities than a Senator. However, like Obama before the 2008 primaries, I'm not sure how Desantis will perform on a national stage. Trump steamrolled some pretty good candidates in 2016 and this is his first time back on the campaign trail against other Republicans since then. How will DeSantis handle the attacks when on a debate stage with Trump" Obama was able to beat the Clinton machine (barely) with his charisma, oracle skills, and that "fresh new penny" appeal. I think DeSantis lacks that charisma but checks the other two criteria. It should be interesting.

I don't disagree with most of the analysis besides the losing to inferior teams part. I'm guessing the ratio of winning/losing to inferior teams measures up against the best on the list. I disagree with the ranking as I'd put him in the 8-12 range. Also, Belichick should be way ahead of Reid if you're looking at it from a coaching only perspective. -

An interesting strategy would be for Hines to return kickoffs even deep in the end zone if you load up with special team aces in the return game. Especially if other teams prioritize Special Teams less. -

The dumbest rule in the NFL: New rule change
Doc Brown replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're paying for 53 players but if five are injured and your opponent has zero injuries they'll have 53 healthy players on game day while we'd only have 48 healthy players. That gives the healthier team even more of an advantage. -

You'd have a competitive disadvantage if one team has a 53 man healthy roster while the other team has only 48 healthy players. No. You'd get it at the 40. -

NFL owners OK flexing of Thursday night games

No argument from me but every move the NFL has made since its inception is motivated by maximizing profit. However, it's hard to argue it doesn't have a trickle down effect to the consumers given its popularity.
