He didn't strike it well. You're right. I still think it would've eeked through from that distance though. I thought it was a great play by Carter.

I didn't like that decision. I'm guessing the percentage of getting 3 points from 62 yards is a lot better than a TD on a Hal Mary. Bass has made plenty from 50 plus that would've likely been good from 62 before. I know the kickers give the head coach a line of demarcation before the game but that would've been an appropriate time to ignore it.

Bass would be 84% (about league average) if Jalen Carter doesn't make a great play on the blocked field goal which shows you why you need a larger sample size when evaluating kickers. Sam Martin I'm way more concerned about going down the stretch.

Yeah. I finally caved. It was a good read. Well written. Dunne made it crystal clear that he thinks McDermott should be fired which I appreciate since you can then read it as a well sourced opinion piece. No real surprises but he makes the best case on why this team should move on from McDermott than anything I've read or heard previously.

At this level it’s more about X’s and O’s. They’re professionals who should be up for every game.

It’s Chiefs week - and the season is on the line

Bills must treat this game as if there's no tomorrow if we're going to pull this one off. Similar to the Japanese kamikaze pilots when they attacked Pearl Harbor.- 617 replies

It was so Billsy of us to clinch the number two seed two out of the three years after they added a 7th seed. -

I would. He hasn't won a playoff game since the Obama administration. McDermott's won four despite him being apparently a quarterback killing narcissist. -

Both teams at halftime remembered who they were. Most Belichick/Tomlin game ever. -
True but my concern is Josh will force more balls to Knox than he would to Morris.

Misery loves company which is why I regularly converse with my brother in law who's a Jets fan. He currently thinks Aaron Rodgers purposely sabotaged the Jets by agreeing to the trade because Woody Johnson made his fortune off of the vaccine distributing big pharma company Johnson and Johnson. He thinks Rodgers purposely tore his Achilles, convinced Jets management that he could turn Zach Wilson into a legit QB so they wouldn't offer any alternatives after he was injured week 1 to sabotage their season, and will engineer another catastrophic injury of week 2 of next season (week 1 would look too suspicisious). Thus, ruining a great defense who all are about to want to get paid who he knew would be good enough where they wouldn't get the top two QB prospects of this year's draft. He also thinks Belichick is the mastermind behind the whole plan but can't make the connection yet. So, my professional advice. Become friends with a Jets fan, Panthers fan, or Commanders fan and you'll feel a whole lot better about the Bills future compared to theirs.

I don't think he lied from what I recall. The two main reasons he was cut according to Tim Graham was Araiza's attorney lying publicly between the allegations surfacing and his release that other teams knew about the allegations before the draft. Also (and the main reason), they needed a reliable punter that didn't have legal issues hanging over his head in a season where they had Super Bowl aspirations. They're stuck with Von and his disastrous contract whereas they weren't stuck with Araiza besides the wasted investment of a sixth round pick.

White jerseys, blue pants against the Chiefs in KC.

Except for all blue (smurfs) and all red (vomit)....... any jersey combo looks great to me. -
Agreed. Just look at the top ten teams with the most dead cap money this year. The Bucs, Rams, and Packers went all in while the rest o the teams are either dysfunctional and/or signed some awful contracts (the Cardinals alone are eating 5.9 million in dead cap for their Jordan Phillips deal which is hilarious). Only two (Eagles and Texans) are above .500. How the Eagles have such a good roster still is a testament to Roseman. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $75.32MM Los Angeles Rams: $74.23MM Green Bay Packers: $57.14MM Philadelphia Eagles: $54.73MM Carolina Panthers: $51.54MM Arizona Cardinals: $36.96MM Tennessee Titans: $36.56MM Minnesota Vikings: $35.54MM Houston Texans: $31.72MM Las Vegas Raiders: $29.95MM

I suggest the Cover 1 podcast if you really want to get in the weeds. To be fair, Greg did say that we're pry going to have to keep Josh's contract structure in place and take their medicine in either this year or next year. He guessed 2025. He's more bullish on Diggs skills not declining over the next two seasons than I am.
