I liked the aggressiveness and the unpredictability. There's no way they do an all out blitz twice. Right? I'm guessing nearly everyone (including Wilson) thought it was going to be a bluff and they were going to drop into coverage. I think Russ would've found a way to get at least five yards to get them in field goal range if we dropped back in coverage. Scramble, flip to the running back, quick slant, etc... Lutz has a strong leg so at that point I'd rather our defense win it for us and force them to go for it on 4th down. The thought at that point allowing them to set up for the game winning field goal would've sucked. Russ just made a veteran play (albeit desperation pass) and Jeudy did well to draw the PI. McDermott had a good defensive game plan all night (a complete 180 from the Bengals game) especially considering how short handed we were in the secondary. I know they gave up the game winning drive but we would've been down double digits if they didn't keep bailing the offense and special teams out. The defense deserved to win that game.

No. You're wrong. Before this year we were top three in offense going back to 2020 and it was because we were pass happy. If we have to rely on our running game we're screwed.

Do we get to skip the Eagles game? I'm for that.

If There's No 12th Defender, is Dorsey Still Employed??

I didn't write that. LOL. -

True. The Cook fumble, Davis drop that led to a tipped int, the two long special team returns, Josh’s INT before half, Josh missing a wide open Shakir on that 4th down, and the botched handoff Allen/Cook fumble left out defense in some tough spots. -

Absolutely. Odd scapegoat after your offense gives you the lead only for your defense and special teams to eff it up. -
I'm in the minority but Dorsey didn't deserve to be fired. This was a panic move.

Will a win over the Jets to get to 6-5 bring everyone back in?!?!
Doc Brown replied to DBilz2500's topic in The Stadium Wall
They'd have to beat the Jets and Eagles. A win in Philly would show me they at least have a shot against the Chiefs and Cowboys. I could talk myself into 3-2 after that and hope Miami stumbles so it's a winner takes the division in week 18. -
If we sack Wilson there or force an incompletion we're talking about the genius play call and how the defense won us this game. I understand the decision. If you play soft coverage the Broncos pry dump it off to a running back who picks up six yards and allows them a field goal shot as Lutz has a decent leg. He's 5 for 7 in 50 plus field goals the last two years including a 60 yarder. Having 12 men on the field on a field goal after a time out is 10,000 times more egregious.

Like in 2017. Yeah we do.

Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
Doc Brown replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
All he literally had to do on the timeout was say hey every defensive player just stay out there after the 3rd down. Make only them have to execute it. Just mind blowingly bad situational coaching. -
Yup. It hurts more when we know the talent is there.

Hail Murray The Wind Game There's been a lot more heartbreakers that don't have nicknames which is why I've taken to drinking bleach.

Dorsey had interviewed for OC before so he wasn't just some guy Josh picked. Tonight wasn't on Dorsey though. Four turnovers, crucial drops, a bad game by Allen, and horrible special teams play did them in.

Patriots may finish with a draft position low enough to draft Williams or Maye.

11/13/23 Week #10 MNF GAMEDAY Bills vs Broncos Pregame Thread
Doc Brown replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
The last time the Bills lost back to back regular season games was week 9 and 10 of last year so we're good. -
Bills could be tied for 1st in the AFC at 7-4
Doc Brown replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fins schedule is much easier as they already played the Eagles and Chiefs. Miami's next five are the Raiders, Jets, Commanders, Titans, and Jets again. They'll probably be 10-4 or 11-3 before they play the Cowboys, Ravens, and us. The Jets and Pats losses really put this team's back against the wall. Let's hope they respond. -

NYT model has Bills only having a 36% of making the playoffs right now and only a 45% chance of making the playoffs if we win our next two games. Yikes. I didn't realize we were in this much trouble. We probably have to go 6-2 for a Wild Card. Our best hope might be the Dolphins stumbling down the stretch and us beating them the last week to get in as the 4 seed. -

Ok. This is only a hypothetical but what if I told you Ken Dorsey moves from the booth to the sidelines? -

Tough remaining schedule for the Bengals but they own the tiebreaker (obviously). It's hard to know how to interpret that game. -
White socks save it.
