  1. Right but you can just point to statistics of the general population to prove that instead of focusing on one profession.
  2. He's similar to Edmunds in a lot of ways (average starter with some flashes of greatness) which is why they pry pick up his 5th year option. You know you're getting a serviceable player for at least two more seasons giving you more time to evaluate whether a 2nd contract is warranted. I'm guessing since he won't make the pro bowl you can pick it up for about $8m.
  3. What's the point of this article? You pry have a similar ratio for every profession. You're more likely to be killed as a construction worker than a cop. What's their ratio?
  4. At that point in the game we didn't know our defense was helpless to stop this Titans offense. You take the points.
  5. McDermott has been heavily criticized in the past for going the conservative route when push came to shove. Him choosing to go for it on 4th and inches is a significant step imo as I think Sean kicks the field goal at this same time last year. His first year when he punted in the snow game making a tie highly likely which would've essentially knocked us out of playoff contention. He got lucky that it worked out but I still can't defend that call. Then not going for it on 4th and short before the half last year against KC and again in the 3rd quarter when you knew field goals weren't going to cut it against that team. In this situation the analytics were on your side. The way the game was playing out made it an easier decision. Our defense was reeling and all we needed was the best player on our team tonight to pick up half a hard. You put it in Josh's hands. If he doesn't slip it's a first down at minimum and likely would've led to a game winning touchdown. This loss sucks but I thought McDermott showed the aggressiveness needed in a head coach in today's NFL. That bodes well for this team going forward.
  6. Let's just focus on the Fins . I just want to beat them to get the sick feeling out of my stomach ASAP.
  7. Deja vu from last year against the Cardinals going into the bye. Also, only the second time the Bills have lost when an Allen led offense put up more than 30 (also the Cardinals). I told my wife that it just doesn't sting as much when our franchise QB plays a great game further validating him as a true franchise QB. The Steelers loss hurt more because he looked like 2019 Josh.
  8. It seems almost every fan base thinks their o-line sucks. I think we're an above average pass blocking team and a below average run blocking team. I get your point though that it will come back to bite us in the postseason. You have to wonder if Beane is looking at the trade deadline to upgrade at guard.
  9. It was short but I wasn't aware the NFL had a sky judge in this game because that's what it seemed like.
  10. Ravens are now the favorites for the one seed but it's early. Tough loss but this team always bounces back. I'm hoping we can string a lot of wins in a row now with an easy schedule using this as fuel.
  11. Over/under is 42.5. A lot of people hoping for a tie (or a safety).
  12. If they didn't review that catch the Seahawks spiked it with one second still on the clock. It really wouldn't have mattered.
  13. I'd try to knock Jamal Adams out with the football if I had that kind of arm too.
  14. They could've flexed it but assumed Russ would've played since they have to make the call 12 days in advance.
  15. No CMC as Darnold is excellent at checking the ball down.
  16. Obvious hold when you can see it from your tv screen.
  17. It should be a felony to go five wide on first down if you're the Browns with that running game.
  18. Do analytics account for Baker Mayfield being the quarterback?
  19. Way too early in the game to go for it there by the Browns.
