If the Panthers thought he could stay healthy they would have zero reason not to keep him. It's a HARD pass for me especially given our cap situation going forward. Now they have an awful quarterback on the books for 18.58 million next year who they gave up two draft picks for (2nd and a 5th) and a broken down running back on the books for 14.3 million.
