  1. I don’t even think it was supposed to be a squib kick but a kick landing around the 10 yard line. Wires got crossed. I can live with Mahomes/Kelce/Hill getting down their with three timeouts despite only 13 seconds. They’re stars that had perfect execution. There’s no justification in punting it through the end zone. See ya Farwell.
  2. Pretty cool interview. Talks about "circle the wagons," 49ers Bills predictions, and his relationship with the people of WNY. Sorry if posted already. Starts at 5:38.
  3. He’s got them by the balls. He’s doing what Lamar should’ve done last offseason. -They built their offense around him and basically wasted a first round pick the year before which they traded up for. -They’re in the best division in the NFC where if you don’t have a top qb you’re screwed. -He’s proven himself enough where he can demand top dollar. -He has the trump card in threatening to go play for the A’s and retire.
  4. So the Texans finish 4-13 and think "let's fire the head coach and promote from within." Lovie went 8-24 as the Bucs head coach and 17-39 as Liberty's head coach. The Texans defense ranked 31st in yards allowed last year. This is the worst hire of the nine openings and makes no sense whatsoever.
  5. Do you see Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan as intimidating (?) because their respective teams won the NFC three of the last four years. More than one way to skin a cat.
  6. You're correct. I should've been more clear. Beane also didn't trade up and grab one either. Regardless, that comment was telling in what he thinks of Jackson and why I think they'll move on from Wallace if his price tag really is that high. With White, Poyer, Hyde, and T. Johnson signing extensions they already have a lot invested in their secondary. My guess is they let him walk if some team does give him nine million or more per year.
  7. They did but I think they like Jackson enough to take his place. Beane said at his press conference he didn't think a CB in the 2nd round of last year's draft would be an upgrade over Dane. If Wallace commands nine million a year then this will pry be the first real difficult loss of the McBeane era. Then they'll either draft a CB and/or sign a veteran CB for depth. They need as much cap room as possible over the next couple of years to extend Edmunds, Oliver, Knox, Diggs, and possibly Phillips.
  8. My guess is each black individual has their own opinion on the matter.
  9. He's the only Canadian born head coach I believe. That's got to be worth at least a 4th rounder.
  10. I wonder if they can lure Peyton Manning into the booth with Al. Aikman is too wooden for my liking. I like Kevin Harlan.
  11. Seems that way. Gannon and McCown (white) were the reported front runners. Now it's between Lovie and Flores. Dysfunctional franchises do dysfunctional things.
  12. Down to Lovie Smith and Brian Flores apparently. I'm sure the Texans will get this right.
  13. He was a ball boy with the Broncos when he was in high school as his mom married a member of the Broncos video staff. When he graduated from Yale Mike Shanahan hired him as an intern for his technical expertise.
  14. Like usual. No Bengals or Jets helmets to be found.
  15. Seeing Dawkins and Teller on the same line makes me sad.
  16. I don't need six reasons. I just needed six seconds of watching it to conclude it's awful.
  17. I wonder how much Matt Nagy's flop weighs in on a team's decisions because he definitely should get a shot at HC.
  18. First question - Absolutely. If Bieniemy could sell that he’s bringing in a coordinator that will call the plays so he can focus on the supervisory role that a head coach has then sure. Then it just goes back to the “leader of men” criteria clique that he’d have to sell to the hiring team. Can he convince them of that? Second question- we’ll see. McDermott’s already established himself as a solid head coach so he pry gets more leeway. The first two offensive coordinators he brought in both called plays before.
  19. I believe a team can still block a lateral transfer if they’re still under contract. That includes offensive coordinator. Could be wrong though.
  20. A possible unintended consequence of the tweaked Rooney rule may be the Chiefs deny every request for him to interview as an offensive coordinator elsewhere. Don't want to lose those potential extra third round picks if he is hired as a head coach.
