  1. I guess if you look at just 2020 free agent signings in a vacuum it was Beane's weakest free agency class. Although I will push back in that Addison was pretty good this year, D. Williams was excellent in 2020 before being just serviceable this year when moved to guard, and Taiwan Jones is an important special teams player. The rest were misses but their weren't any outrageous contracts and the dead money was minimal. You didn't list him but they overpaid for AJ Klein. The most important move in 2020 was trading for Diggs.
  2. If the Bills ever relocated it would be devastating to the region. Let's hope a new stadium deal gets done soon.
  3. True but Aaron Donald said no freaking way. Unreal sack on that 3rd down to hold them to a field goal.
  4. Any talk of a new contract/extension for Diggs or Knox? Those would be my first two priorities. Knox value could explode after next season while Diggs deserves a pay raise. Maybe tie some financial incentives based on team production into both their contracts.
  5. If you want to play prophet you mine as well make a profit.
  6. In 2010 after Obama was elected the Republicans gained 63 seats and won by a popular vote margin of 6.8%. In 2018 after Trump was elected the Democrats gained 41 seats and won by a popular vote margin of 8.6%. I expected the same cycle this time around. Put me down for at least 50 seats swinging to Republicans.
  7. They're might be something to this as it's a headline on the NFL's official website. He shouldn't be forced to sell the team if Flores has no proof. The reality is though that with gambling becoming another money maker for the NFL the thought of an owner paying a coach to tank (even if there's no evidence) may be enough for the NFL to force Ross to sell the team.
  8. That's a sign of a strong roster building it the right way as we're a top 5 NFL team. Draft, develop, re-sign, and make timely trades (Diggs). Now all we have to do is improve communication with Tyler Bass.
  9. Maybe but the fact is we had the personnel to have the best team in the NFL on the ropes in the playoffs even with our #1 CB out. if it wasn't for a comedy of coaching errors we easily could've won the Super Bowl without giving up a 2nd and 3rd round pick like the Rams did. Unfortunately, there's no easy answer at DE. If we can somehow find a cost effective upgrade at DE in free agency than we should definitely pursue him. If not, I'd be fine bringing back Hughes and/or Addison. Maybe draft another edge rusher and hope Rousseau, Basham, or Epenesa have a break out season.
  10. Squib kick and we win Super Bowl. We didn’t need him.
  11. You're pry right but it would be a fun story line. They finally have an o-line that won't get him killed and a running game.
  12. I'm pry not the first person to think of a possible Andrew Luck return after seeing this. Guy's only 32.
  13. That was my first reaction. He could take a few years off and maybe get his feet wet in broadcasting. Then he can watch the new Rams coach struggle which only elevates his stock. Then some desperate owner will give him the Jon Gruden treatment and he'll demand a massive contract. Genius if he goes this route.
  14. That's an interesting dynamic. He's able to feast off the bad to mediocre offenses but struggles as much as anyone when facing elite offenses. Is it a scheme problem? Does our scheme make us overvalue the talent of our defense when they look great against poor to middling offenses? Specifically the LB's and secondary. I think it's key this offseason to find guys that can generate organic pressure when we do face these elite offenses because the scheme isn't changing as long as McDermott's here.
  15. NBA and NHL don't quite live up to their name either. Agree. The networks are pry already fighting over that game and it won't be any earlier than a 4:15 game (10:30pm) Germany time.
  16. Yup. That's how Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry got their start too I believe.
  17. They have processing speed tasks on all the major cognitive tests that are quick and easy to administer. I always thought that would be more useful than a mini SAT which is what the Wonderlic is.
  18. Mahomes, Burrow, and Stafford also didn't get a vote. It's a regular season award. Rodgers and Brady put up better numbers with their team winning their respective divisions. BTW, I guess the woke mob Rodgers claimed wouldn't vote for him are still asleep.
  19. Eh. Kolb said something similar and we just laughed.
  20. He's pry their second best o-lineman behind Williams right now which is being like the second smartest Baldwin brother. It's the three players to the right of him that are a disaster. All my money is now on the Rams.
  21. One less home game for the Chiefs or Pats is fine with me. Bonus if we get to play them there.
  22. We’re going to have to agree to disagree. The way that game was going the ‘85 Bears defense wasn’t stopping them. We pay good money to have one of the best coverage units in the NFL. Give Mahomes/Kelce/Hill as little time as possible.
  23. I don’t even think it was supposed to be a squib kick but a kick landing around the 10 yard line. Wires got crossed. I can live with Mahomes/Kelce/Hill getting down their with three timeouts despite only 13 seconds. They’re stars that had perfect execution. There’s no justification in punting it through the end zone. See ya Farwell.
