J.D. Vance: Mainstream Anti-communist
Doc Brown replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think he said it but we've been told that Biden is a senile old man who doesn't know what he's saying half the time. Like killing medicare. -
It's a very weird dynamic because VP's are generally seen as useless. John Adams called the vice presidency "the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived." They don't have a defined role like Secretary of State, Education, etc.. so they don't have the risk of being fired. All they really do of significance is break ties in the Senate. Dick Cheney is pry the exception to the rule. Maybe Walter Mondale too. I really don't know how much that means in terms of Harris striking the balance of taking the positives that happened under Biden while distancing herself from the negatives. She could just say politely the old man everyone thought was too senile to run for reelection was too stubborn to implement the new policies I'm proposing. How many of the few people still on the fence will buy it? Who knows. This is a first in American politics.

Winter, fall, spring, and summer in that order. Just happens to coincide with how much time the in-laws are in Florida.

I agree but it's working. Tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations are not popular though.

Bears @ Bills - Preseason Game 1 - SAT 08/10 - 1 PM
Doc Brown replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was week 2 but Allen's first start. Kenny Pickett embarrasses Josh Allen as Bills quarterback struggles on pre-season start -
Smart. Really smart. She knows it's popular and since she was given basically nothing to do as Vice President she can basically cut herself off from Biden.

Just quit the season. That performance was pathetic
Doc Brown replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pathetic effort but I'd rather have that then a significant injury to a starter (look at Hollywood Brown). Oliver going down early and Josh scrambling was nerve-wracking. -
Yeah. Go to the once in East Aurora. It's smaller so it's easier to nail them every time. Just be prepared to wait unless you go on off hours.
-
He wouldn't have requested a trade then.
-
He also was pry the first prominent Democrat operative to smartly advise the party to ax Biden after that debate.
-
Money is the obvious answer but if he's thinking of a 3rd contract it makes sense to nix the Pats and Browns. I think he's trying SF to get within the ballpark of those deals.
-
I'm actively rooting for him to fail and help tear that team apart. Does that make me a bad person? Absolutely.

Democrat Convention 2024 (Chicago)
Doc Brown replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just don't go full Idiocracy on us with celebrities (Hogan, Kid Rock, Dana White) like the RNC did. It's a low bar to clear but I'm not sure if the Dems are capable. -
I've heard that criticism before and I still have no clue what that means. Dorsey to me was a reactive and predictable play caller. I don't think it was an accident the turnovers went down when Dorsey was fired. His in game adjustments weren't great either. I'm not sold on Brady yet either but like that this team stylistically is changing on offense. Evolve or die.

I'm not seeing this reported anywhere else.

Interesting you called this over a week ago and it's definitely a possibility.

I thought Trump should've picked Rubio and Harris should've picked Shapiro. I do think that Walz is a far safer pick than Vance was though. Walz won't do any harm but Shapiro offered more upside.
-
Shapiro and Walz plays rock, paper, scissors best two out of three in prime time for VP. Both are strong rust belt candidates so I don't think it matters.
-
Because they're always wrong.

Polls Are Basically Useless
Doc Brown replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's exactly what he was trying to do and he's not wrong either. It's a horrible strategy though. Attack the Biden/Harris record again and again and again. Then specifically say who you'll fix the damage they did. -

LOL. Been hearing that my whole life.
