  1. 2013 is pry the best comparison - Manuel, Geno Smith, Glennon, Barkley, Nassib, L. Jones, etc...
  2. I think there's still time to delete this thread OP.
  3. The bigger prize is the HOF preseason game. Maybe they prefer where they know they're going every week before the season begins. ABC gets two Super Bowls under the new tv contracts so they'll still get to call a couple. Plus, the money. I view Buck and Aikman as fine. They're not going to add much to the game but they also won't annoy me like some other crews.
  4. How hard is it to be a good holder? You catch the ball and make sure the laces are out.
  5. They're actually 4th to win the AFC right now behind the Bills, Chiefs, and Broncos according to Fanduel. Ahead of the Chargers and Bengals (who I also consider contenders). You need better metrics than public perception to come up with a "percentage" of their Super Bowl odds. I agree with you when it comes to Beasley though. He went 1-3 with two losses by a point against the Packers and Rams. He's a perfectly capable backup. He is? Didn't they tender him?
  6. Yes. The organization thought the prudent move would be to drive down Watson's enormous trade value by having a local lawyer convince all these women to file lawsuits against him alleging sexual misconduct, assault, etc... Take the tin foil hat off please.
  7. They started 5-1 last year with wins over the Chiefs, Colts, and Chargers. Injuries then mounted and they could never recover. It would be an upset with their roster if they didn't either win the division or make a Wild Card spot. Right now I have the Bills and Chiefs in the top tier. The next tier is the Chargers, Ravens, Bengals, and Broncos. The rest don't have the QB's to make a serious run. Too small of a sample size as he's only been in the league four years. Numerous QB's have won the Super Bowl after early struggles in the playoffs. He did win one playoff game coming from behind smashing those two narratives. I don't consider myself a Lamar defender but I feel like other fans are underestimating him falling into the lazy narratives that we had to see Josh overcome.
  8. Even if Lamar misses a few games you can still win with Tyler Huntley. They were decimated by injuries last year and are absolutely a contender if they can stay relatively healthy. They're a contender at those odds.
  9. When they built the design for Robert Kraft for the Pats new stadium they went through over 200 design options before he finally found one he liked. I wonder if Terry and Kim will be as hands on.
  10. There's plenty of blame to go around with his disastrous tenure here but he deserves the lion's share. Good riddance.
  11. We play the Bears and not the Chargers this year. Correct? This really does suck though that he went to an AFC team. At least he’s not in our division. Can all four AFC West teams go 11-0-6?
  12. Cody Ford will be a week 1 starter and you’re all going to see the Kromer effect in action.
  13. With a whopping 278 yards combined passing yards. Why does our defense always struggle against the run mid-season?
  14. Romo was throwing to Beasley his first three years but it's a fair comparison. I think he's good enough where with the right QB he could have a Wes Welker type career. Or he could re-sign with the Jets.
  15. He's a younger version of Cole Beasley and a little quicker (ran a 4.44 second 40 yard dash). Reliable slot target who can find spots in a zone and convert 3rd downs for you. Also, can be our answer as a returner. I just wish his price tag was lower because he'd be a great signing.
  16. Didn’t he drop 30 pounds for no reason last offseason. Makes you wonder if he’d have had a better year at a higher weight.
  17. What did Wentz do to piss off Irsay and Ballard that much? They’re not going to find an upgrade this year.
  18. Dockery and Walker in 2007 have to take the cake but it's pry is a close second. Beane did well in 2019 and 2020 free agency in the place it mattered most in helping Josh Allen develop (Brown, Beasley, Morse, D. Williams) but the defensive signings weren't too impressive (Butler, Jefferson, Addison, Norman). I don't know. I guess I don't have as much faith in Beane in making the right free agent moves compared to most Bills fans.
  19. The Rams haven't had a first round pick since 2016 and won't have one until 2024. They just won the Super Bowl albeit they're pry an anomaly because of how well they drafted in the later rounds. Elway isn't the GM but is the root cause of needing to make this trade. They have a strong roster on both sides of the ball and are a legitimate contender for at least the next couple of years. I'd argue they're pry the third or fourth best team in the AFC right now. This trade was a huge win for the Broncos unless Wilson significantly loses mobility as he gets up there in age.
  20. I want the better offenses later than in the year when T White is 100%.
  21. For a 2nd. Yes. I don’t think even think you could make that trade on Madden though. A 4th at best. Your fault for raising a Seahawks fan. That’s why MCM was more painful than 13 seconds.
  22. A little more aggressive maybe but not to the point where you significantly mortgage the future. You need a great roster, luck, a coach willing to squib kick it, and a good year health wise to win the Super Bowl. Putting yourself in the playoffs most years gives you the best chance.
  23. We went from 13 seconds to host an AFC Championship game to talking about fricken comp picks within two months. I hate comp picks because it rewards teams for letting players walk. It's never made sense to me in a league where they have a hard salary cap with even the cheapest owners having to adhere to the minimum salary cap spending.
