  1. As a Chiefs fan do you guys find him as insufferable as every other fan base?
  2. The legion of boom went from elite to mediocre pretty quick after 2016. Seahawks were 1-4 after that in playoff games. Recency bias pry clouded my judgment of how good he was during his prime.
  3. If I was McDermott and Beane I would make a thousand copies of this graph and pin it throughout the building. Do whatever it takes to fix this.
  4. That's coaching too. I remember all the conspiracies about the Patriots not fumbling because their was less air in the ball. No. It's coaching. It might regress slightly to the mean next year but not to the point where we'll even flirt with being in the negative territory with turnovers. Bills have perfected that peanut punch more than any other team.
  5. What's funny is Jerry waited and then paid five million per year more than any other QB. Why? I think $60m per year is fair for Josh considering he'd then be making at least five million more per year than Burrow and Lamar (the only other two starting QB's in his tier that's worth the money).
  6. The Eagles are so unlikable though. Siriani, Fangio, Brown, Carter, Hurts. Just not fans. Saquon and the running back resurgence is a cool story this year I guess. The best Super Bowl result imo is an Eagles blowout with Saquon winning MVP and Mahomes throwing five picks all in the direction of Kelce.
  7. Offense looked fine to me on Sunday. Fix the defense first. You can't rely on a bend don't break defense predicated on splash plays/forcing turnovers to beat good teams in the playoffs. We need serious upgrades on that side of the ball.
  8. I've got a great bridge to sell you.
  9. I'm cool with that. Can they make it next year? Maybe Josh can pull a Peyton Manning or Big Ben and get two.
  10. The common thing I've learned from being emotionally invested in a team in the NFL that will never change is.... Losing Sucks.
  11. It wouldn't be that crazy. John Fox was fired after a 12-4 season with the Broncos after winning the division four times in a row and had a Super Bowl appearance. Broncos won the Super Bowl the next year. Obviously, McDermott isn't going to get fired this year but if a similar result happens next year then Pegula needs to try a different course. McDermott can definitely build a grand piano but I'm not sure he can play it. I hear you but there's also part of me who's always believed go with what you got you here. Ty Johnson played in the two minute drill all year and was very good in it as both a blocker and pass catcher. Thing is though they really didn't have to be in a two minute drill when you had around three and half minutes remaining with all your timeouts.
  12. From what I've seen reported 67 people in all were involved in the crash. Man I pray for the families of all of them as I can't imagine what's going through their head right now.
  13. The "just give it to them" Bills @Pats in 1998. WR was clearly out of bounds on 4th down that would've given us the game. Then calling a pass interference on a Hail Mary which I haven't seen before or since. Seemed kind of shady.
  14. That was a very impressive video. Props to the guy writing it but her delivery was perfect.
  15. 13 Seconds happened in those unis. I want them banned. Nostalgia. The current unis are superior imo.
  16. I heard this idea somewhere that the Bills should just hire Spags. I'm a little weary our regular season win total given his head coaching history. I would feel way better about our playoff chances against the Chiefs though. I'm kidding by the way. Re-watching that game it became pretty clear to me that our rosters were about equal but the coaches on KC mostly won in high leverage situations. Our two 4th and goal conversions being the exception. There was also a 4th and 1 conversion I believe right before the BS line spot on the following sequence. That Cook 2nd TD run was just unreal and he's starting to win me over that this might be the rare occasion you do give a RB a 2nd contract. Also, that one flip pass to Shakir with Allen dodging a free blitzer was a thing of beauty. Allen's instincts are just incredible and I believe they're the best in the league QB wise. I've never seen a quarterback point to a penalty in the pocket, make sure a flag is called, roll out of the pocket, and then throw deep to Coleman in double coverage because he knew it was a free play. The Chiefs will always have that slight coaching advantage because it's like trying to compete with Lennon and McCarthy with Reid and Spags. You can try your best but you won't win. Just try and make it close and hope to get some breaks. Maybe the rare bad half that Mahomes played in the '21 AFC Championship game against the Bengals happens in one of these games. The only thing Beane and McDermott can realistically do is build a better roster. It's not like they've ever been blown out by the Chiefs besides that 2020 AFC Championship game when they were puppies like the Commanders this year.
  17. I don't know if it's playing scared more than playing stupid. It was reported that he wanted the ball squib kicked but there was a communication error with Bass. I also don't think he thought the Chiefs could get the ball into field goal range with two quick plays within 12 seconds even with timeouts. I'll be honest. I didn't either considering they had to drive 45 yards in two plays. It took perfect execution from the Chiefs and the Bills leaving the middle of the field wide open for it to happen. Shocker. We got outcoached again.
  18. Then our defense had a chance to make a stop with three timeouts left and couldn't do it. I get the frustration with the offense coming up small on that final drive but the Chiefs hadn't put up more than 30 points all year until this game. Four TD's and a FG should've been more than enough. It's like blaming the doctor after life saving open heart surgery for still having to be on blood pressure medication.
  19. I hear you with the draft capital but I had Brian Thomas Jr. in the tier with the other top three so I was bummed when the Jags took him. I thought he was a top 10 pick and he pry should've made the pro bowl this year even though he played for a dysfunctional franchise. We wouldn't have had to make the Amari Cooper trade if we moved up to get him so we'd have that 3rd round pick this year. I don't know where we go from here at the WR position. I hope Coleman will be better but his ceiling is a low end WR2 imo. I'd add a DE to our list of needs. Most important draft of Beane's tenure since 2018.
  20. You wonder how much the Benford injury played into that.
  21. He's the only obvious cut on the team. I think you're going to see less cuts and restructures than usual this year.
  22. If Ben Johnson is every thing he's hyped to be he very well could've led the Commanders to the Super Bowl assuming they take Jaden Daniels if he took the job.
  23. Oh absolutely. The Texans were the most boring team in the playoffs and not even the most popular team in their state. The Chiefs get the Swifties and two elite QB's will always get huge numbers in the playoffs.
  24. Yeah. Either a first or two 2nds it pry would've taken. We'd have a stud #1 outside WR right now though.
  25. Not sure on that play but he was definitely injured. That's why he wasn't on the field for that last drive. At least I hope that's why he wasn't.
