  1. Spencer Brown because of his ceiling which is an elite offensive tackle. Protection in the passing game and opening up holes in the running game will be key in outscoring the other offensive juggernauts in the AFC.
  2. The Cowboys pry had a deal to trade back in place with another team assuming Elam was still on the board. The initial shot of their war room wasn't one of being thrilled that they were about to pick Smith. They seemed to be scrambling. We'll never know but that's what my gut instinct was.
  3. In our defense, we've been well seasoned at doing this over the last two decades.
  4. Public opinion doesn't (or at least shouldn't matter) in Supreme Court decisions. The SCOTUS isn't "picking this back up." They finally have the numbers that allow them to overturn what many legal scholars (including those that are pro choice) as bad constitutional law. There's nothing in the constitution that prohibits state governments from making abortion laws. What this does do is allow people the freedom to vote for representatives that best reflect their views on abortion and politicians can finally do something about it. This should be a net positive in this country in the long run.
  5. It's difficult being an introverted person in an extroverted rewarded world.
  6. He was slightly above average here. His play didn't warrant the contract he was demanding and it was a shock across the league when New England signed him to top market value as they usually don't do that. He shot into all pro territory with the Pats. The PFF grades (not the bible I hear but all I have to go on) confirm this.
  7. The fascinating part of Allen was the old school evaluators were high on him. Kiper had him as his #1 QB prospect and Mayock had him as his #2. PFF meanwhile had him fifth behind Mason Rudolph. LOL.
  8. Agreed. I heard rumors that was the case but it was never confirmed until now. Also, the part about Dorsey screwing Beane over and the fact that he refused Arizona's initial offer in the Allen trade of their first and two seconds was also something I didn't know. Imagine the balls it took to refuse a trade after working tirelessly over a year to finally have a chance to get your coveted QB and then turning the offer down praying they'd call back. Just awesome stuff in this article.
  9. You don't give up. LOL. No state has or ever will in our lifetime pass an abortion law that says any woman can get an abortion no questions asked all the way up to the point of giving birth. It's ridiculous.
  10. Neither one says any woman can get an abortion through the third trimester like you claimed. Stop wasting my time please.
  11. I remember the whole push but there was no actual legislation passed that legalized abortion for all women through the third trimester. Like I said, if you can show me it I'll be all ears.
  12. No. If you could show me a law that says any female can get an abortion through birth I'll be all ears.
  13. I guess the voters at a local level can decide that now if true. Whoever leaked this should be prosecuted. This can't be normalized.
  14. Now we know who the Pats are playing Week 1.
  15. You're going to see a push by blue and purple states now to pass laws that legalize abortion now that Roe vs. Wade is in doubt. The midterms are no longer a gimme for Republicans.
  16. I don't see too many leaving after the avalanche of firings/resignations the last couple of years. I think the Colts make the playoffs with Reich and the Skins have a .500 type season and with all the shady stuff at the top they'll value having a steady presence in Ron Rivera. I'll go with Matt Rhule - he reminds me of Fangio last year at this time. A solid defense with nobody at quarterback with questionable game management skills. Mike McCarthy (replaced by Kenny Moore) - it's the Cowboys. Eagles win the division. Cowboys sneak into Wild Card spot and go one and done. Arthur Smith - Falcons won't win more than five games and Blank will want a new head coach/gm to pick their next franchise QB at the top of the draft next year.
  17. I don't know who Thor Nystrom is but I like him already. He gave 19 teams a B- or worse.
  18. Elam if he develops quickly both short term (Tre White may start season on PUP list) and long term (having two dependable outside CB's will take pressure off our safeties who may be replaced within the next year or two).
  19. It's an interesting topic. If Araiza struggles pinning a team inside the 20 then my guess is it'll make them more likely to go for it say 4th and 7 from the opposing teams 44. On the other hand, 4th and 1 from our own 37 he may send Arazia out there to blast it when he'd go for it if Haack was still our punter. Who knows.
  20. There's no way that's right. Since the schedule's not predetermined I'll bet you a million dollars we play at Kansas City in the regular season in 2023 for the third straight year. I just have a gut feeling on that one.
  21. Look. It seems like a solid source. I'm just going to point out that Thanksgiving week will be week 12 though.
  22. He was a better CB at New England than he was here. I don't know if it was coaching or scheme but he was superb in New England over three and a half seasons after starting slow with them.
  23. Last year we faced Mike White, Davis Mills, Trevor Siemean, Jacoby Brissett, Cam Newton, Taylor Heinicke, a decrepit Ben Roethlisberger, and three first round rookies on lousy teams (Lawrence , Mac, and Wilson). There's no way we get that easy of a slate of opposing QB's again.
  24. We face better offenses this year so we're going to have to keep pace. The weather has to be better than last year. Right? I think we average around 31.
