Like last offseason when a lot of us were bemoaning that the Bills should've aggressively pursue Hopkins because our WR room might be mediocre with the underwhelming additions of Hardy and Sherfield. We're raising the red flag again and remember it come January of 2025.

He'll go for at least a 1st and you're biding against pry 5 to 10 other teams. I just think about it as a 1st and Diggs for Aiyuk. I've been a huge fan of his since college and think he'd be a bonafide top five #1 WR with Allen. Think he's at least on par with 2020 Diggs on what he'll give you the next five years.

If you want to maximize Josh Allen's window this is the trade you make. Give up a 1st and a 2nd. Give him the bag. I don't care. Aiyuk, Coleman, and Kincaid locked up for at least the next four years as your WR1, WR2, and TE1 is just smart business.

Thomas Matthew Crooks & Ryan Routh
Doc Brown replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'd be so much more conspiratorial if human beings weren't so darn incompetent in general. Total failure by local law enforcement and the FBI. There needs to be firings because the bullet was inches away from blowing Trump's brain out. -

Who do you think his VP choice will be? Who do you want it to be?

Vikings WR Jordan Addison arrested for DUI
Doc Brown replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not the exact same as it depends on the level of intoxication and how recklessly you were driving. Some people think they can make it home going 10mph under the speed limit not to attract cops while others (like Henry Ruggs) will drive 156 mph weaving in and out of traffic before slamming into a car resulting in the death of a 23 year old girl. There's no defense in either situation but the latter should definitely be more severely punished. -
Is Josh Allen already the best dual-threat QB ever?
Doc Brown replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poor accuracy though (56.2% completion percentage) and the most he ever passed for yardage wise was 3,308 yards (under Reid) in 2011. I guess a dual threat quarterback needs to be better defined. -
Attempted Assassination on President Trump (x2)
Doc Brown replied to Walking Tall's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There were more political assassinations/attempts before social media (JFK, RFK, Truman, Wallace, T. Roosevelt, Reagan, Ford, Lincoln, McKinley, Garfield). It's actually slowed down this century pry because of enhanced security. -

I don't feel like going through 30 plus pages but are people trying to whitewash January 6th with this. -
Conservative White Men
Doc Brown replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Weird burn there Tibs. Really weird. It's a combination of reasons that white men commit suicide at the highest rate. The primary one being the stigma that men should be strong enough to handle things on their own and therefore are more reluctant to seek help. More white men live in rural areas so you're more isolated. There's less access to mental health and yes they're more likely to own a firearm. -

Big Boy Press Conference Day
Doc Brown replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
How many people actually watched it compared to the debate though? Also, the three major slip us will make headlines. I don't know if this changes anybody's mind on either side of the fence. -
Me too but I know how some people think.

I'd say the same about McD winning a Super Bowl but I know there's those saying he should have at least two by now with the god Josh Allen.

Vegas Odds on Bills landing Michael Thomas
Doc Brown replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was a shell of his former self last year in the ten games he did play last year. Injuries derailed his career. Hard pass. -
Not sure if this deserves its own thread but since Biden's staying in the race this will be the direction the country presumably takes starting next January. Here's the 20 platform bullet points released by the RNC panel in a 16 page platform released today. Some of it is a little too hyperbolic/fear mongering for my taste but it beats the alternative imo. On abortion: (cnbc article) On abortion, the changes are stark. The old platform took a hard-line stance against abortion, calling for a “human life amendment to the Constitution” in a lengthy passage that used the word “abortion” dozens of times. The Trump-backed platform uses the word just once, in a brief paragraph that expresses support for allowing states to pass their own abortion laws while vowing to oppose “Late Term Abortion.” On entitlement reform: The 2016 and 2020 platforms noted, “Medicare’s long-term debt is in the trillions, and it is funded by a workforce that is shrinking relative to the size of future beneficiaries. ... When a vital program is so clearly headed for a train wreck, it’s time to put it on a more secure track.” It proposed a handful of reforms, including setting “a more realistic age for eligibility in light of today’s longer life span.” The new platform erases any discussion about the challenges of keeping the programs solvent. “Republicans will tackle Inflation, unleash American Energy, restore Economic Growth, and secure our Borders to preserve Social Security and Medicare funding for the next Generation and beyond,” it reads. “We will ensure these programs remain solvent long into the future by reversing harmful Democrat policies and unleashing a new Economic Boom.” ----------- Trump helped devise this and he's pry the least ideological and most pragmatic president of my lifetime. He and his advisors recognize the two areas they'll attack Republicans the hardest with policy wise is claiming Republicans will push to legalize abortion nationally and they'll cut medicare and social security. Many Republicans pry wish the stance wasn't so soft but it's a smart calculation if you want to win elections this November imo. Thoughts?
