  1. Yeah. Duopoly applies here. Both parties have a vested interest in exploiting the issue of immigration for political gain and are indifferent to rolling back or ramping up the deportation of undocumented immigrants.
  2. Not a fan of celebrities in politics but if they do get involved this is how you do it. Expose the partisan bs when it comes to bills like these. Bill passes 86-11 because of congressional shaming by Stewart. Not one amendment to the bill passed in the House in July was made. This delay and spin was always about not giving Biden a "victory." Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell defended his party's handling of the legislation at a news conference on Tuesday. "Look, these kind of back and forths happen all the time in the legislative process, you've observed that over the years," he said. "I think in the end, the veterans service organizations will be pleased with the final result."
  3. Highly unlikely they win given the CBA still gives Goodell final say. It's the NFLPA's fault for agreeing to it. The wording in Judge Robinson's written decision makes it very easy for Goodell to suspend him as long as he wants if the NFL appeals the suspension.
  4. This is pretty good trolling by Stewart. He'll shame Congress into passing it like he always does.
  5. The Patriots signed Darryl Williams (two t's). I'm pretty sure Daryl Williams is a free agents still although his wikipedia page has him as a Jaguar?
  6. Darrel Williams the RB did. There's like three Darrelllywlywlw Williams.
  7. Daryl Williams is still out there but I don't know if it's feasible.
  8. Agreed as starting in 2017 we've finished in order 29th, 25th, 6th, 15th, and 12th in sacks. Not good enough for how much money they invested in it. It's not that surprising we've never had a double digit sack guy though considering how often they rotate. I wonder if Epenesa or Basham don't take a step forward they just line up Von out there for 80% of the snaps like he's used too. Especially down the stretch and in the playoffs if we get that far.
  9. They saw what happened to the Panthers with Darnold. It was a no brainer decision as it's a "win win" for them. Either they find their franchise QB in Jones or they draft one next year in a QB rich draft. I'm interested to see how he performs in Canada's offensive scheme as a slow Big Ben and a poor offensive line limited the playbook.
  10. I just read the NYT article and Watson just comes across as a scumbag who booked at least 66 massage therapists in 17 months. The goal of each being to get a happy ending. The allegations are disgusting I really don't care how long the suspension is (if any). He's a pos that should be booed everywhere he plays for the rest of his career. Ah....the great Norm MacDonald
  11. Here's Keyshawn's list in June ranking the scariest QB's. There's a disconnect between this list and his comments.
  12. If we can sign him to a Duke Johnson type contract then count me in. Otherwise, adios.
  13. I wouldn't give him a multi year deal but if Beane says here's 2.5 million guaranteed with incentives to get up to 5 million for this year to prove you still have it so you can strike it rich in free agency next year. Why not? Also, he's more sane than Antonio Brown so it's a little unfair to lump him in with him.
  14. They're not afraid to give rookies a starting job in important positions. Especially drafted in the first round. White, Edmunds, Oliver, Rousseau, and now Elam were/are being thrown into the fire their rookie year. . With everyone around the rookie locked up through next year they can get away with someone wet behind the ears. You can also sign a cheaper veteran free agent or promote from within (who knows what they think of the guys behind Oliver on the depth chart). Great. Can we get him four years on the rookie wage scale?
  15. He's on the Cowboys. The earliest we see them play each other is next year in Orchard Park.
  16. This. The Bills got ahead of the game with White and Allen after their third year making them the second highest paid player at their position in terms of average annual value. Allen's now fifth while White is seventh. That's why extending Oliver now makes sense but Oliver may bet on himself to have an elite season driving up his price. The Bills could've (and still can I guess) significantly reduce Edmunds's cap hit this year with an extension but they haven't yet. If I was a betting man I think he makes top dollar elsewhere next season if they don't get an extension done in the next few weeks. Some dysfunctional franchise will overpay next year. Frazier mentioned making more splash plays and my guess is that's what McBeane's expectations this year are too. There just hasn't been much improvement at all since his rookie year so why would this year be any different?
  17. We're arguing over a hypothetical. I didn't bring up the regular season game and couldn't care less about the early 90's Bills. I believe the Bills beat the Chiefs if Tre White was in the lineup in the playoffs. You presumably don't. I believe he would've made one play either during the game or in those last 13 seconds that would've been the difference. Especially with our offense playing the way it was with the Honey Badger out. As far as the Bengals, home field advantage means nothing to me. I'd have to look at the advanced metrics but the quality of play didn't seem that different between at home or on the road. Just inconsistent week to week throughout the year no matter where we played. We had clunkers at home (Steelers, Colts) and on the road (Jaguars). The Bengals defense shut down the Chiefs in the second half of the AFC Championship game by mixing up coverages and only bringing three in the 2nd half in about half of their plays. Reid and Mahomes weren't able to adjust. I think a similar strategy would've been used against our offense with similar success. I highly doubt we would have put up 50 on them. Meanwhile, they had the best three WR combo in the league and would've given our secondary problems. I don't think we win that game without Tre White.
  18. He could've handled the Browns situation better and just asked for a trade like Diggs did. Not have his father send out a video of him being hoping unnecessarily dragging down his quarterback.
  19. Rams went out and got OBJ. Bucs went out and got Antonio Brown. Both were instrumental in their Super Bowl wins. He'd be great depth if he's able to come back in time for the stretch run. Some on here have suggested we lack outside WR depth.
  20. I agree for the most part but I refuse to let my own disappointment in the team in the mid-season lull with the reality of what occurred. I don't think we even beat the Bengals the next week without Tre White. That injury made our late season run moot as far as winning the Super Bowl goes.
  21. Mahomes is deadly against the blitz so it wasn't Frazier's stubbornness in only rushing four the whole game. It was countless examples over the years of Mahomes tearing apart teams that brought more than four rushers. The main difference between the first and second Chiefs game was we didn't have Tre White and our d-line didn't get as much pressure on Mahomes and/or couldn't finish. It's part of why we revamped our defensive line and signed Von Miller. It also may be why McBeane felt they needed to upgrade from Levi Wallace at the #2 CB role. Drafting Bernard shows me that they are well aware they need to improve against run heavy teams. You don't kick a d-coordinator to the curb when your defense was number one overall. However, I'll admit that after those 13 seconds though I felt at the time they should've left him in KC.
  22. That's really the only way I read it. Republicans will use pork spending as the rationale although they passed the exact same bill in June 84-14. The House changed just added a minor revision on awarding tax credits if VA healthcare providers move to high-need locations. There's no pork in the bill. All of it goes to veterans who suffered from toxic exposures during their service. Republicans misplayed this politically and some veterans may suffer because of it. Pathetic.
