Andreessen will make the team - UPDATE: he made it
Doc Brown replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who's going to play him in Invincible 2? -
He was a 22 year old that wanted to make an NFL roster hoping the accusations wouldn't be made public.

Here's what he said on a podcast in late July. Odds are we're not his ideal landing place. "Right now, I think it's going to depend on situation," Tannehill said. "At this point, I've been blessed to play 12 years and be where I'm at, so I'm not just going to continue to add years to add years. I want to be in a situation that I feel really good about. I'm not ruling anything out, but it's going to have to be the right situation for me and my family." "Nothing really felt right through free agency," Tannehill added. "And through that, I had a lot of peace with it, that nothing outstanding jumped up and I just said, hey, I'll take a step back and if something comes up down the road, whether that's training camp — maybe a guy goes down on a team and gives me a call, you never know what's going to happen."

If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…
Doc Brown replied to julian's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is somehow a sneaky anti McDermott thread and I'm still trying to figure out how. -
I have no flippin clue. I just miss the good old days where we just had Diggs, Brown, and Beasley in their defined 11 personnel roles with Davis rotating in and out. So much simpler.

Recession is upon us - disastrous economic data
Doc Brown replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
We got hit hardest at first and now are the lowest. It's the curse and benefit of being the world's currency reserve. -
Tannehill pry wants either a lot of money to be a backup and/or a place where he has a chance to start. The Bills can't provide either of those things.
-
We were having this same conversation with Kyle Allen last year and they kept him. Hell, if I remember correctly Case Keenum didn't look good in the preseason and we kept him. Unless the knee injury is serious I don't see them trying to upgrade.
-
Nah. Just have Josh run it.
-
Time to mix him more with the first team. A 65 to 35% snap count between him and Cook would be ideal.

For those who attended training camp......was he this bad in training camp?

Bills @ Steelers - Preseason Game 2 - Sat 8/17 7PM

Cancel the game. Knowing our luck a lightning bolt will strike Allen. -
Pregame thread (8/17/24) - Bills at Steelers
Doc Brown replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Always dread these games. Best case scenario is we look good against vanilla offenses and defenses. Worst case scenario are catastrophic injuries. Anyways here's the preseason pledge. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Pry can't with GOP House majority. They rejected a bill that cracked down on big oil price gouging in 2022 when gas prices were over 4$ per gallon. Gotta hand it to the Harris campaign though as they are now forcing Republicans to defend price gouging. If Trump thought of it first the GOP would've lined up behind him.

When is it time for QB under Josh’s wings?
Doc Brown replied to JROC INTEL's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. It's greater than a B-. I'm not a wing connoisseur though and there's lots of great places in Buffalo that make wings at least within the ball park of Bar Bill (East Aurora location). -

True but he played 87% average per game under Dorsey and 76% under Brady (including playoffs). The two blowouts over the Redskins and Raiders pry kept it from being over 90% under Dorsey. To be fair it also would've been higher under Brady if it wasn't for Dallas being inept at stopping the run. The alarm bells went off for me when he only got 60% of the snaps against the Chargers and 65% in the 2nd Pats game (must wins). What are we doing here? You can't save load management him for the playoffs if you don't make the playoffs. Maybe he was nursing an injury but regardless I really don't blame Diggs for wanting out of Brady's offense. His skill set isn't best suited for bubble screens. -

Praying for a supercell thunderstorm at 7pm. -
Is Kirk Cousins replacing him?

The latter. I think Trump had this won until Biden dropped out. The reason being those who loathed both Trump and Biden now have an alternative. Harris may eff that advantage up though because she can't hide from the cameras forever. Another thing Harris brings to the ticket is a likely increase in black voter turnout comparable to 2008. On the flip side, those who are Trump backers who may have stayed home thinking he had it in the bag may now make the effort to vote. I also see a trend of Democrats getting overconfident again despite polls basically showing a tossup. Has a 2016 vibe to it.

Reports out of Broncos training camp is he's been awful. To the point he actually is on the roster bubble.

Um.....which one's?

Confirmed NY Times: Pelosi forced Biden to quit
Doc Brown replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I just find it funny on both sides. Dems - Trump is a danger to democracy and will become a dictator........but it's fine if he's the nominee because he's easily beatable. We'll take the chance. Reps - Biden is senile and should be removed as he's dangerous in that state.....but it's fine if he's the nominee because he's easily beatable. We'll take that chance.
