  1. If he didn't understand what was coming he would've played Araiza Friday night. This could've been a lot worse.
  2. Not to make light of the situation but reflecting on things..... If you told me to guess a month ago what Matt on the roster would be exclusively punting in our final preseason game. Barkley wouldn't have been my guess.
  3. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/08/26/did-the-bills-know-about-the-allegations-against-matt-araiza-when-drafting-him/ The league should want them to cut him, if the Bills (or the league) think that the allegations are credible and more likely than not accurate. If this had happened after Araiza had been drafted, he’d likely be headed for paid leave while the criminal process continues — instead of 13 days from making his official debut on NBC in the first regular-season game of the year. Given that it transpired six months before he entered the NFL, the only way to keep him off the field is to remove him from the team.
  4. This has been discussed at length already but the NFL couldn't do that because the incident happened before he was drafted.
  5. I didn't see this press conference but yesterday's reporters at the McDermott press conference did a great job.
  6. He looked so uncomfortable he may have been hoping for "13 seconds" questions.
  7. Which is why I was advocating for them to cut him yesterday so they wouldn't be put in this position. The Bills BOTCHED this big time.
  8. Glad you brought up a piece of legislation passed through Congress and not through an executive order. Again, PPP loans were only offered because the government shut down the country and in the legislation there were conditions laid out that if met would lead to loan forgiveness. A lot different than choosing to take out a student loan. I didn't vote for Trump and never will. There's a lot of swing voters (not MAGA cult people) who look at this student debt forgiveness and realize what it is. A regressive transfer of wealth and a slap in the face to those who sacrificed to pay off their student loans who now feel like suckers. It's even worse in that it's a one time payment that does nothing to address the underlying problem.
  9. It's a weird argument as the whole reason for PPP loans was to try and keep businesses afloat when they shut the country down due to Covid. They didn't have a choice while student loan borrowers did. They're basically grasping at straws making that argument.
  10. There's going to be a large contingency of Bills fans who will sour on them for this fact alone. Cutting him tomorrow won't change that but it's better than keeping him.
  11. Bills knew about this and cut Haack anyways. Their reputation already took a hit whether they keep him or cave to the mob.
  12. No and that feeling of unfairness is why this will blow up in the Dems faces. Throwing a bone to the progressives in hopes of increased youth turnout for the midterms. All this policy is is a one-time cancellation program that leaves in tact the underlying structures that led to the problem in the first place. Congress needs to get together to fix this to prevent more cancellation programs down the line.
  13. We've become so spoiled as a fan base. My god. There hasn't been one GM worth a damn in history who hasn't whiffed on a high draft pick.
  14. Giants should be all over this.
  15. My gut feeling is they activate him to the 53 man roster before the season starts. He'll first get playing time in the home opener against the Titans and they slowly increase his reps until he's a full go against the Chiefs. I base this off nothing.
  16. Get the Giants on the phone. Low depth at TE? Give us a 4th or 5th for Howard, Morris, or Sweeney.
  17. That's a good question. Van Roten and Bates can both play center. Neither have much regular season experience at that spot though. Van Roten played nine snaps in 2017 while Bates has 33 snaps at center (26 last year).
  18. It won them the presidential election and control of Congress. Why would they stop now?
  19. Disappointing player but glad Beane put ego aside to get at least something for him.
  20. Do you consider someone making $390k a year a middle class American?
  21. Chase was #24. My guess is in reverse order you'll see Hill, Jefferson, Adams, and Kupp. Adams might be ahead of Kupp given it was voted by players. Smart move by Trevon to give up all those yards. The more QB's throw at you the more INT opportunities you have.
