  1. Twitter isn't real life. Message boards aren't real life. Only AOL chat rooms qualify.
  2. Not going to happen with this team. They're built like the early 90's team as far as character and resiliency is concerned. The culture the Bills have built since McDermott and subsequently Beane were hired will shine through this season.
  3. Longest throw competition - Allen, Burrow, and Mahomes for one, two, and three seed.
  4. A Wednesday night game is probably what they'll do if we get good news with Hamlin. They'll pry push the Bills/Pats game and the Bengals/Ravens game to Monday night. During Covid the NFL was extremely aggressive to make sure all the games were played to the point where the Broncos had to start a practice squad WR at QB. I'm just guessing at this point though as it's an unprecedented situation.
  5. I meant they won't announce anything tonight. They're not going to say we're resuming the game on Wednesday and then god forbid Hamlin dies in the hospital overnight.
  6. You're not going to hear a word from the NFL until Hamllin's status is known. As it should be.
  7. To be fair the GOP thought they’d have a much larger majority and McCarthy was minority speaker prior to the midterms. The Dems flipped over 40 seats in 2018 with Pelosi in the same role so it was a fairly easy decision.
  8. Does it though? The close game narrative that was killed pretty quickly this year is relevant as two of our three Road losses in the playoffs came in OT. This is post Josh Allen draft. To me a road playoff win is just the next check in the box since McDermott has got here. There may be some mental trepidation going to KC but we pry make it a bigger deal than it is compared to the players.
  9. I didn't say it's not important. It's not a must win. The Patriots have a must win game next weekend.
  10. Since the new playoff format started the one seed has been knocked out once in the divisional round, twice in the conference championship, and once in the Super Bowl. If it wasn't for the most inept 13 seconds of coaching I've ever seen we would've hosted the AFC Championship game as a 3rd seed. The two teams who've won the Super Bowl were a 5th seed and a 4th seed. Does not getting the one seed make it much more difficult to reach and win the Super Bowl? Yes. Is the Bengals game a must win? No.
  11. It sounds good but just remember one thing..........they're the Jets.
  12. Watching it back there's a slight chance it could've been sarcasm. He seemed ticked off at the reporter bringing the Packers scenario up.
  13. I'd be more ticked off as a Skins fan that he started Carson Wentz.
  14. I want the Chargers in the five seed so we're guaranteed not to play them. This result helps as all the Chargers have to do next week is beat the Broncos.
  15. I would love the Ravens and Steelers to have the 6th and 7th seed.
  16. Jets and Fins fans crying always makes me happy.
  17. It's probable that the rib injury he sustained in early November was a major reason for his drop in production down the stretch. It's also possible his physical skills were diminishing slowly at the same time like many WR's in their young to mid 30's. There was a clear drop at least on tape throughout the season of him not having the same burst in and out of breaks as well as YAC. Until he shows that same burst I'm just going to assume he lost a step. However, his excellent ability to find soft spots in the zone is an invaluable skill that Shakir and McKenzie don't provide. I really want to see him heavily involved these last two regular season games. He was really effective last year when teams were playing strictly zone and defenses have seemed to play more zone this year than previous ones. If you can get a defense to go more man coverage it can create more opportunities down the field for Diggs and Davis. The lack of usage against the Bears was frustrating but maybe they feel more comfortable getting him more heavily involved with better weather along with more practice reps.
  18. Yeah he would with just his football IQ alone in this defense. He’s one of the best in the league at disguising coverages and preventing the deep ball. That might be important considering the QB’s we pry have to play in the playoffs to get to the SB. He’s not coming back from a knee injury like T. White is so I’ll take an 85% Hyde over a 100% Hamlin.
  19. So much of it is luck as we were a squib kick away from hosting an AFC Championship game last year. The Chiefs almost choked in the Divisional round in 2020 beating the Browns by five. Browns win that and they travel to Buffalo for the AFC Championship game. You can debate all you want which of the last three seasons we had the best roster but our current roster as constructed has as good of chance as any in the league. Having Hyde back (while not an absolute must) would slightly increase our chances.
  20. Compared to last year our offense is averaging more passing yards per game, rushing yards per game, yards per play, and have a higher drive scoring % as well as 3rd down %. It just looks different than last year as we're targeting our RB's and Diggs more. I get that whenever the offense seems stagnant it's natural to see what we don't have this year compared to last year. However, we're better by almost every metric without Beasley.
